PMSM의 제동력 확보에 의한 회생제동 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Regenerative Braking Control by means of Extending Brake Power of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM))

  • 본 연구는 전동차를 운전 시, 영구 자석형 동기전동기(PMSM)가 제동할 때 발생한 회생전력은 모두 활용하며, 전기제동에 대하여도 발생한 회생전력을 모두 흡수할 수 있는 능력을 가진 축소모형 전동기 시스템으로 운전함을 가정한다. 축소모형 전동기의 견인시스템은 각 전동기는 영구 자석형 동기전동기(PMSM)를 개별로 제어하는 1C1M방식으로 구축 하였다. 전동차의 승차감 향상 및 에너지의 효율적 이용 등을 위한 방법으로써 벡터제어 방법을 적용하여 관성부하에 대한 시뮬레이션과 축소모형으로 실험을 하여 좋은 결과를 얻었다. 또한, 영구 자석형 동기전동기(PMSM)의 제동력 확보에 의한 회생제동 제어 확보와 전기제동으로 정지하는 극 저속에서의 속도검출과 전동기를 제어하는 방법의 알고리즘에 대하여 연구 하였다.

  • The DTC of voltage source inverter-fed PMSMs is based on hysteresis controllers of torque and flux. It has several advantages, namely, elimination of the mandatory rotor position sensor, less computation time, and rapid torque response. In addition, the stator resistance is the only parameter, which should be known, and no reference frame transformation is required. The DTC theory has achieved great success in the control of induction motors. However, for the control of PMSM drives proposed a few years ago, there are many basic theoretical problems that must be clarified. This paper describes an investigation into the effect of the zero voltage space vectors in the DTC system and points out that if using it rationally, not only can the DTC of the PMSM drive be driven successfully, but torque and flux ripples are reduced and overall performance of the system is improved. The implementation of DTC in PMSM drives is described and the switching tables specific for an interior PMSM are derived. The conventional eight voltage-vector switching table, which is namely used in the DTC of induction motors does not seem to regulate the torque and stator flux in a PMSM well when the motor operates at low speed. Modelling and simulation studies have both revealed that a six voltage-vector switching table is more appropriate for PMSM drives at low speed. In addition, the sources of difficulties, namely, the error in the detection of the initial rotor position, the variation of stator resistance, and the offsets in measurements are analysed and discussed.

비희토류 전동기의 효율 향상을 위한 Fan-shape type PMSM 설계 및 성능 분석 (Design of Fan-shape Type PMSM for Improving Efficiency of Non-rare Earth Motor)

  • The rare earth output is concentrated in limited number of countries including China. Also the necessity for development of non-rare earth motor is getting signified due to the rapid increase of rare earth price and resource weaponizing policies. Non-rare earth motor is generally designed as spoke type PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) in order to maximize the power density. Such spoke type PMSM has advantage in concentrating the flux but demonstrates lower efficiency compared to permanent magnet using Nd (Neodymium) permanent magnet. Therefore, applications with strong necessity for efficiency need rotor structure having improved efficiency compared to spoke type PMSM. Hence, this study suggested fan-shape type PMSM with somewhat lower power density but maximized efficiency. Fan-shape type PMSM is a rotor shape demonstrating outstanding reduction of iron loss compared to existing spoke type. Thus, this study analyzed the improvement of efficiency and reduction of loss arising from the suggested shape through parameter calculation.

  • 본 연구에서는 영구 자석형 동기전동기(PMSM)를 축소형의 견인시스템으로 각 전동기를 개별로 제어하는 1C1M방식으로 구축하였다. 전동기를 제동할 때 발생한 회생전력은 모두 활용하고 있으며 전기제동의 사용영역 확대에 발생한 회생전력을 모두 흡수할 수 있는 능력을 가진 가선이라고 가정한다. 영구 자석형 동기전동기(PMSM)의 제동력 확보를 위해 벡터제어 방법과 제어기와 속도 센서를 마미크로프로세서에 제어기를 적용 하였고, 전동기 에너지의 효율적 이용 등 회생 제동에 의한 제동력 확보와 전기 제동으로 정지하는 알고리즘을 적용하여 전동기 관성부하에 대한 시뮬레이션 및 실험결과를 제안하였다.

  • In this paper a new current controller with dead time compensation for small time constant PMSM is proposed. Precise analysis on voltage distortion by dead time and device characteristics is presented. Simulation results are presented to demonstrated the validity of the proposed method.

  • 본 연구는 차량에서 사용되고 있는 밸브의 운전각을 고려한 PMSM 설계를 수행하였다. $D^2L$을 이용하여 체적을 산출하였고 재설계 변수 (권선수, 축방향 길이, 영구자석의 호의길이)를 선정 후 시스템에서 요구하는 토크와 운전각에 대한 설계를 진행하였다.

PMSM 토크제어를 위한 보간오차 보상방법 (Interpolation Error Compensation Method for PMSM Torque Control)

  • This paper proposes a interpolation error compensation method for PMSM torque control. In PMSM torque control, two dimensions look-up table(2D-LUT) is used for current reference generation due to its stable and robust torque control performance. However, the stored data in 2D-LUT is discreet, it is impossible to store all over the operation range. To reduce the reference generation error in this region, the 2D-Interpolation method is conventionally used, however, this method still remains the error affected by the number of stored data. Besides, in the case stored by fixed unit, this error is increased in field weakening region because of the small number of stored data. In this paper, analyzing the cause of this interpolation error, and compensating the method to reduce this error. Proposed method is verified by the simulation and experiment.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy controller based fuzzy logic control for high performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) drive. In the proposed system, fuzzy control is sued to implement the direct controller as well as the adaptation mechanism. The adaptation mechanism is executed by fuzzy logic based on the error and change of error measured between the motor speed and output of a reference model. The control performance of adaptive fuzzy controller is evaluated by simulation for various operating conditions. The validity of the proposed controller is confirmed by performance results for PMSM drive system.

  • This paper illustrates maximum torque per ampare radio operation and efficiency operation, which are prevalently applied to the control of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). Maximum torque per ampare ratio operation minimizes the copper loss of PMSM and maximum efficiency operation minimizes the total loss of PMSM. To verify the difference of these method, simulation and experiment results applied to IPMSM(Interior type PMSM) and SPMSM(Surface mounted PMSM) are presented.
