플렉시블 무기EL 색변환 백색 발광 소자 제작 및 특성평가 (The Fabrication and Characteristics of White Emission Using CCM on Flexible Substrate)

  • EL (electro luminescent) is generally studied as a large size plane light emitting device and flexible light source because of it's simple manufacturing process. In this experiment, we manufactured flexible white emitting light source using Ni-foil with blue phosphor and color change materials. With increasing the thickness of color change material, the luminance of white emission is increased and the color coordinate of white color was shifted to pure white of (0.317,0.328) by strong emission of color change materials excited by blue excitation spectra. Also the luminance level was 30% higher in white emitting light device than blue only light source.

  • For this study, terbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG:Tb) phosphor powders were prepared via the combustion process using the varous reagents. The characteristics of the synthesized nano powder were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM), and photoluminescence (PL). Single-phase cubic YAG:Tb crystalline powder was obtained at $1000^{\circ}C$ by directly crystallizing it from amorphous materials, as determined by XRD techniques. The SEM image showed that the resulting YAG:Tb powders had uniform sizes and good homogeneity. The photoluminescence spectra of the YAG:Tb nanoparticles were investigated to determinethe energy level of electron transition related to luminescence processes. There were three peaks in the excited spectrum, and the major one was a broad band of around 274 nm. Also, the YAG:Tb nanoparticles showed two emission peaks in the range of 450~500 nm and 525~560 nm, respectively, and had maximum intensity at 545 nm.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope prototype EPID system and improve image quality of radiation therapy field imaging system using CCD camera. For this research we used Linac(Clinac 4/100), Copper metal plate, $Gd_2O_2S_2$ phosphor and CCD camera(Photronic). In this study we find best thickness of buil-up metal plate and acquired projection image of humanoid head phantom. Also we enhanced raw image data using superposition and histogram stretching method. Through the thickness optimized of metal plate and image processing, we confirmed of an improved image quality of an EPID system using CCD camera. As result, highest quality image was acquired at 1mm thickness of Copper metal plate and improved image quality by image processing methods.

  • CsI 형광체는 X선에 대한 분해능 및 변환효율이 우수한 물질이다. 최근 대면적 평판형 X선 영상검출기의 변환층으로 이용하기 위해 CsI 형광체의 대면적 제조에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 진공 열증착법을 이용하여 증착속도(3, 3.8, $4.5\;{\mu}m/min$)에 따라 $20\;{\mu}m$ 두께의 CsI 필름을 제조하였고, XRD 및 SEM 분석을 통해 CsI 필름의 기하학적 구조를 조사하였다. 증착된 CsI 필름은 증착속도에 관계없이 복잡한 다결정 구조를 가지며, $3\;{\mu}m/min$의 증착속도에서 약 $1\;{\mu}m$ 크기로 needle-like 한 columnar structure를 가졌다. As results, about 3um/min evaporation rate formed as good geometry characteristics CsI layer.

액상반응법으로 합성한 $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ 나노형광체의 열처리 온도에 따른 광학적 특성 (The Optical Property of nano-sized $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ Phosphor using solution method)

  • 본 연구에서는 저온 액상반응법을 이용하여 활성제 Eu의 농도를 10wt%로 도핑하고 열처리를 각각 450, 700, $900^{\circ}C$로 1h 유지하여 $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ 나노형광체를 합성하였다. 제조된 형광체의 결정화, 입자크기를 XRD, BET로 분석하였고, 이들이 발광 휘도에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 또한 합성된 형광체의 PL(photoluminescence) 특성을 알아보기 위해 여기파장 254nm 의한 발광스펙트럼, 611nm에 의한 여기스펙트럼을 조사하였다. 발광 특성은 611nm에서 주 peak을 갖는 $Eu^{3+}$ 이온에 의한 $^5D_0-^7F_{J(J=0,1,2)}$ 전이에 기인된 전형적인 Red 형광체의 특성을 나타냈고, 입자크기는 평균 20-60nm 정도이고, 발광강도는 열처리 온도가 증가함에 따라 향상되었다.

무수은 제논 EEFL의 전기적 특성 (Electric Properties of Mercury-free Xe EEFL)

  • This paper had mentioned about CCP light source application for increasing the efficiency of Xe lamp the mercury-free lamp. In order to increase the efficiency of Xe EEFL, we designed and manufactured the lamp used by mixture gas of Xe, Ne and He. Also, we have analyzed the electrical and optical properties with the firing voltage, sustain voltage, paschen's curve, wall charge, and capacitance. As a result, the firing voltage decreased by increasing the ration of mixture gas. and, It is owing to include the gas with high ionization energy. The firing voltage decreased in condition happening the penning effect, Because the ion of metastable state created from penning effect, Which can encourage the ionization phenomena. Also, the wavelength of 467.12 is increase. because of the energy transition in the wavelength of 147 nm. therefore, we can know about the affection of phosphor with UV emission properties. Through an experiment, Xe 100 % and Xe 75 % confirmed same spectrum properties by each mixture gas ratio. In the case of Xe 50 %, spectrum properties appeared Xe discharge and Ne-He discharge. That analyzed an electrical and optical properties. Therefore, confirmed that is excellent because properties of firing voltage, wall charge, capacitance in Xe 50 %, Ne : He = 9 : 1. We offered parameter in inverter manufacture and lamp manufacture by electrical and optical properties.

  • In this study, we used screen printing on the rear glass with silver electrodes, phosphor and a dielectric which is on the silver electrodes, and carried out firing in the temperature of $550^{\circ}C$, $570^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$ each. To seal the rear and top glass together, we used crystalline frit paste as a sealing material with dispenser and carried out firing up to $450^{\circ}C$. As using this panel, we focused on optimizing the condition which influences characteristics of discharging by the distance between electrodes, electrode structure, type and pressure of gases for FFL.

Growth and Characterization of Vertically well Aligned Crbon Nanotubes on Glass Substrate by Plasma Enhanced Hot Filament Chemical Vapor deposition

  • Vertically well aligned multi-wall carbon nanotubes (CNT) were grown on nickel coated glass substrates by plasma enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition at low temperatures below 600$^{\circ}C$. Acetylene and ammonia gas were used as the carbon source and a catalyst. Effects of growth parameters such as pre-treatment of substrate, plasma intensity, filament current, imput gas flow rate, gas composition, substrate temperature and different substrates on the growth characteristics of CNT were systematically investigated. Figure 1 shows SEM image of CNT grown on Ni coated glass substrate. Diameter of nanotube was 30 to 100nm depending on the growth condition. The diameter of CNT decreased and density of CNT increased as NH3 etching time etching time increased. Plasma intensity was found to be the most critical parameter to determine the growth of CNT. CNT was not grown at the plasma intensity lower than 500V. Growth of CNT without filament current was observed. Raman spectroscopy showed the C-C tangential stretching mode at 1592 cm1 as well as D line at 1366 cm-1. From the microanalysis using HRTEM, nickel cap was observed on the top of the grown CNT and very thin carbon amorphous layer of 5nm was found on the nickel cap. Current-voltage characteristics using STM showed about 34nA of current at the applied voltage of 1 volt. Electron emission from the vertically well aligned CNT was obtained using phosphor anode with onset electric field of 1.5C/um.

수열합성에 의해 제조된 YVO4:Eu3+ 형광체의 발광특성 (Luminescent Properties of YVO4:Eu3+ Phosphor by Using Hydrothermal Synthesis)

  • We have synthesized $Eu^{3+}$-doped $YVO_4$ phosphors by using a hydrothermal method and investigated their luminescent properties. Aqueous solutions of $Y_2O_3,\;V_2O_5,\;Eu_2O_3$, and nitric acid with various pH values were used as the precursors. The crystallinity, surface condition, and emission characteristics were examined using XRD, FT-IR, and photo-excited spectrometer. $Eu^{3+}$ incorporation followed by the efficient red emission strongly depends on the acidity of solution media. The emission intensity becomes stronger as the pH values increase to 7 and then gradually decreases. This phenomenon might be related to the hydroxyl quenching effect, which is induced by surface bound OH-groups.

Monte Carlo simulation of the electronic portal imaging device using GATE

  • 새로 개발된 몬테칼로 모사코드인 GATE의 방사선치료 분야에의 적용성 검토를 위하여 방사선치료 오차확인용 전자포탈영상장치에 사용되는 금속판/형광스크린 계측기의 특성을 예측 및 분석하였다. GATE를 이용하여 계산한 6 MV 선형가속기에서 발생되는 엑스선의 에너지 스펙트럼을 바탕으로, 여러가지 두께의 금속판/형광스크린에 대하여 계측효율과 공간분해능을 계산하였고, 이를 범용으로 사용되는 MCNP4B 모사 결과 및 실험 결과와 비교하여, 방사선치료 분야에 응용 가능성을 검증하였다.
