  • 본 논문에서는 SDR (Software Defined Radio)시스템을 위한 디지털 IF (Intermediate Frequency)수신기를 구현하였다[1][2]. 구현된 수신기의 하드웨어 구조는 AD변환부, PDC(Programmable Down Converter)부, DSP (Digital Signal Processing)부분으로 이루어졌다. AD변환부는 Analog Devices사의 AD6644를 이용하여 아날로그 신호를14bit의 디지털 신호로 변환된다. PDC부분은 Intersil사의 HSP 50214B를 이용하여 14bit 샘플 된 IF(Intermediate Frequency)입력을 혼합기와 NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator)에 의해 기저대역으로 다운 시키는 역할을 한다. PDC는 CIC (Cascaded Integrator Comb)필터, Halfband 필터 그리고 프로그램할 수 있는 FIR필터로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 PDC부분을 제어하고 PDC부분에서 처리할 수 없는 캐리어, 심볼 트래킹을 위해 Texas Instrument사의 16비트의 고정소수점 DSP인 TMS320C5416과 Altera사의 FPGA를 사용하였다. 그러므로 중간주파수 대역과 기저대역 간의 신호변환을 디지털 신호처리를 수행함으로써 일반적인 아날로그 처리방식보다 고도의 유연성과 고성능 동작이 가능하고 시간과 환경 변화에 우수한 동작 특성을 제공한다.

Effect of Molding Pressure on the Microstructure and Wear Resistance Property of Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (다결정 다이아몬드 컴팩트(PDC)의 미세조직 및 내마모 특성에 미치는 초기 성형 압력의 영향)

  • This study investigated the microstructure and wear resistance property of HPHT(high pressure high temperature) sintered PDC(polycrystalline diamond compact) in accordance with initial molding pressure. After quantifying an identical amount of diamond powder, the powder was inserted in top of WC-Co sintered material, and molded under four different pressure conditions (50, 100, 150, $200kgf/cm^2$). The obtained diamond compact underwent sintering in high pressure, high temperature conditions. In the case of the $50kgf/cm^2$ initial molding pressure condition, cracks were formed on the surface of PDC. On the other hand, PDCs obtained from $100{\sim}200kgf/cm^2$ initial molding pressure conditions showed a meticulous structure. As molding pressure increased, low Co composition within PDC was detected. A wear resistance test was performed on the PDC, and the $200kgf/cm^2$ condition PDC showed the highest wear resistance property.

  • A new fuzzy control algorithm for the control of active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems is proposed in th~sp aper. It combines PDC algorithm based on the LMI design of Joh et al. [4,5] and Mamdani-type control rules using fuzzy singletons to handle the nonlinear characteristics of AMB systems efficiently. They are named fine mode control and coarse mode control, respectively. The coarse mode control yields fast response for large deviation of the rotor and the fine mode control gives desired transient response for small deviation of the rotor. The proposed algorithm is applied to an AMB system to verify the performance of the proposed method. The comparison of the proposed method with a linear controller using a linearized model about the equilibrium point and the PDC algorithm show the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Cadmium and Copper with Ammonium Pyrrolodinedithiocarbamate in Nonionic Tween 80 Micellar Media

  • The determination of Cd2+ and Cu2+ with ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) in Tween 80 micellar media has been studied. The UV-visible spectrum of Cd(PDC)2 complex in Tween 80 media had more sensitivity tha n in chloroform. Although the UV-visible spectrum of the Cu(PDC)2 complex in Tween 80 media had somewhat less sensitivity than that in chloroform, absorbance data of Cu2+ were more reproducible in Tween 80 media. The Cd(PDC)2 and Cu(PDC)2 complexes were very stable at pH 7.0 for up to 100 minutes and could be quantitatively chelated if APDC were added to the sample solution more than 30 times the moles of Cd2+ and Cu2+ . The optimum concentration of Tween 80 was 0.1%. The calibration curves of Cd(PDC)2 and Cu(PDC)2 complexes with good linearity were obtained in 0.1% Tween 80 media. The detection limits of Cd2+ and Cu2+ were 0.0493 ㎍mL-1 and 0.0393 ㎍mL-1 , respectively. Recovery yields of Cd2+ and Cu2+ ions in the spiked real samples were almost 100%. Based on experimental results, this proposed method could be applied to the rapid and simple determination of Cd2+ and Cu2+ in real samples.

Pseudo-DC Resistivity Survey for Site Investigation at Urban Areas with Ambient Electrical Noises (전기잡음 간섭이 있는 도심지 지역 탐사를 위한 유사직류 전기비저항 기법)

  • Recently, urban retrofit and extension, development of new buildings and facilities, and construction of underground structures like subway tunnels in urban areas give rise to significance of site investigation at urban areas. However, ambient electric noises, traffic vibrations, embedded objects work as obstacles to high-quality and accuracy in site investigation at urban areas. In this paper, a new technique called the pseudo-DC resistivity survey (in brief, PDC-R) was proposed to minimize the adverse effect of ambient electrical noises in resistivity survey. PDC-R technique utilizes an AC current with frequency range of 0.1 to 1.0 Hz rather than DC current, which is used for conventional resistivity survey. The motivation of using low-frequency AC current is to avoid 60-Hz components or its multiples in the resistivity survey which ambient noises are mostly composed of. The implementation of PDC-R technique also included the parametric study on skin effect, frequency effect and current-level effect, which led to the determination of optimal values of frequency and current level for PDC-R survey. The reliability and feasibility of PDC-R technique was verified through field tests, accompanied by the comparison with DC resistivity survey and CapSASW tests.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Nickel (Ⅱ) in Tween80 Micellar Medium (Tween80 미셀 용액에서 Ni(Ⅱ)의 분광광도법 정량)

  • We have studied on the determination of Ni(II) using APDC as a complexing agent in Tween80 micellar medium. The absorption spectrum of Ni(PDC)$_2$ complex in Tween80 medium was better defined and more sensitive than that in chloroform Ni(PDC)$_2$ complex was very stable at pH 7.0 and up to 100 minutes, and could be quantitatively chelated when APDC was added to over 10 times moles of Ni(II). The optimum concentration of Tween80 was 0.1%. The calibration curve of Ni(PDC)$_2$ complex with good linearity(R$^2$=0.9955) was obtained in 0.1% Tween80 medium. The detection limit and the determination limit were 0.09 ${\mu}g$/mL and 0.28 ${\mu}g$/mL, respectively. This technique was applied to the analysis of Suwon stream water samples, and about l00% of recoveries were obtained from the spiked samples. Although the formation of Ni(PDC)$_2$ complex was interfered by various metal ions, this technique could be applied to the practical determination of Ni(II).

Effect of Diamond Particle Ratio on the Microstructure and Thermal Shock Property of HPHT Sintered Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC) (초 고온·고압 소결 공정으로 제조된 다결정 다이아몬드 컴팩트(PDC)의 미세조직 및 열충격 특성에 미치는 다이아몬드 입자 비율의 영향)

  • This study investigates the microstructure and thermal shock properties of polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) produced by the high-temperature, high-pressure (HPHT) process. The diamond used for the investigation features a $12{\sim}22{\mu}m$- and $8{\sim}16{\mu}m$-sized main particles, and $1{\sim}2{\mu}m$-sized filler particles. The filler particle ratio is adjusted up to 5~31% to produce a mixed particle, and then the tap density is measured. The measurement finds that as the filler particle ratio increases, the tap density value continuously increases, but at 23% or greater, it reduces by a small margin. The mixed particle described above undergoes an HPHT sintering process. Observation of PDC microstructures reveals that the filler particle ratio with high tap density value increases direct bonding among diamond particles, Co distribution becomes even, and the Co and W fraction also decreases. The produced PDC undergoes thermal shock tests with two temperature conditions of 820 and 830, and the results reveals that PDC with smaller filler particle ratio and low tap density value easily produces cracks, while PDC with high tap density value that contributes in increased direct bonding along with the higher diamond content results in improved thermal shock properties.

  • 본연구의 목적은DP가공에 의한 가교화를 통해 텐셀의 피브릴화를 조절할 때 DP가공 방법 및 NaOH전처리 효과를 물성, 표면형태, 역학적 성질 및 태의 변화의 관점에서 고찰하는데 있다. SEM 분석결과DP가공에 의해 피브릴 발생 정도는 감소하였다. DP가공 방법에 있어 서 WF법과 PDC법에 따른 물성의 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 역학적특성의 경우 DP가공은 DP가공 방법에 상관없이 효소처리한 직물의 인장선형성에는 큰 영 향을 주지 않았으나 인장에 너지, 굽힘 강성, 압축선형성, 압축 레질리언스, 기하학적 거칠기는 감소시켰고 인장 레질리언스, 굽힘이력, 압축에너지는 증가시켰다. 전단특성은 WF법에서는 증가한 반면, PDC법에서는 감소하여 DP가공 방법에 따른 차이를 나타내었다. WF법이 PDC법보다 더 높은 Koshi, Numeri, Fukurami 값을 보였으며, 종합태 값은 비슷하게 나타났다. NaOH 전처 리에 의해 수지부착량은 감소하였으나 감량률은 증가하였으며, DP성/물성은 더 낮게 나타났다. NaOH 전처리에 의해 인장선형성, 인장에너지, 압축 레질리언스, 전단 및 굽힘특성은 증가하였으나 인장레질리언스와 압축선형성, 압축에너지, 표면특성은 감소하였다. NaOH 전처리한 경우 Koshi는 증가하였고, Numrei와 Fukuramil는 감소하였으며, 종합태 값은 가장 낮았다. 처리한 시료들은 각각 다른 감성과 촉감을 나타냈다.

Lanthanide-Oxalate Coordination Polymers Formed by Reductive Coupling of Carbon Dioxide to Oxalate: [Ln2(3,5-pdc)2(C2O4)(H2O)4]·2H2O (Ln = Eu, Sm, Ho, Dy; pdc = Pyridinedicarbox

  • Hydrothermal reactions of $Ln(NO_3)_3{\cdot}5H_2O $ (Ln = Eu (1), Sm (2), Ho (3), Dy (4)) with 3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (3,5-pdcH2) in the presence of 4,4'-bipyridine led to the formation of the 3-D Ln(III)-coordination polymers with a formula unit of $[Ln_2(3,5-pdc)_2(C_2O_4)(H_2O)_4]{\cdot}2H_2O$. These polymers contain a bridging oxalate ligand ($C_2O_4\;^2$). On the basis of GCMS study of the mother liquor remaining after the reaction, we proposed that the $C_2O_4\;^2$ formation proceeds in three steps: (1) Ln(III)-mediated decarboxylation of $3,5-pdcH_2$ to give $CO_2$, (2) the reduction of $CO_2$ to $CO_2\;^{\cdot}$ by the Ln(II) species, and (3) the reductive coupling of the two $CO_2\;^{\cdot}$ radicals to the oxalate ($C_2O_4\;^2$) ion. All polymers were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction.
