  • Recently, the network Infrastructure grows rapidly and the digital image compression technique has made remarkable progress. Therefore, the demand of the real-time image surveillance system which uses a network camera server has been increasing. Network Camera Server has emerged as an attractive alternative to the CCTV for the wireless video surveillance. In this article, the model of JPEG Streamer for collecting and delivering JPEG image is designed and realized as a key module for the wireless video surveillance system. The thread pool and shared memory have been used to improve the stability and efficiency of the JPEG Streamer. In addition, the concept of double buffering is of much benefit to improve the quality of real-time image. In this article, the wireless video surveillance system by using JPEG Streamer is suggested to send the real-time image through the wireless internet with the personal digital assistance (PDA).

  • The introduction of wireless information technology gives rise to new mobile services in all kinds of areas of out daily life. Mobile healthcare system is a production of composite ICT (Information and Communication Technology) which focused on signal sensing, processing, and communication in wireless environment. The mobile and wireless revolution promises not only expanded access to patient health information, but also improved patient care. In this paper, we describe a surrogate host based mobile healthcare information system which utilized Grid computing for real-time ECG signal processing. The surrogate host provides seamless interface between mobile device and Medical Grid portal. The security extension of GSI (Grid Security Infrastructure) allows mobile users to access Grid portal in a secure and convenient manner. The presented system architecture can be used as a secure enterprise mobile healthcare system for hospital physicians.

  • In the simple application programs, when the Bluetooth system is used, main packet, which is transmitted or many overheads, which depend on processing between every level, lead to superfluous outlay of resource area. It is shown in this paper, that all layers of bluetooth system are not used. And, it uses up to HCI layer which it is supported to make a connection between bluetooth and host device(ex. PC, PDA, etc$\ldots$), should be used levels up to HCI layer. Therefore, it is able to transfer every part of data what should be transmitted.

  • Due to rapid increases in Internet users, it becomes essential to provide well-established web services and monitor web server's load for the sake of reliable web server management. The existing web server load monitoring has been based on such cable methods as RPC, RMI, CORBA and etc. But it has the limitation in bringing information both anywhere and anytime over the Internet. This thesis is aimed to realize real-time wireless web server monitoring system based on Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). As any user can log on wirelessly to the Internet at any time through wireless terminals like PDA, the realization will make possible instant and real-time web server monitoring.

  • To date, parking enforcement systems have only been used by parking enforcement authorities, who detect and penalize violators. This paper introduces a modified version of the parking enforcement system utilizing smartphones that allows ordinary citizens to report parking violators to parking enforcement officers. The procedures of the system are taking a picture of a vehicle in violation, receiving the violation report virtually and finally reporting if violation car still remained at same location after five minutes have passed. The proposed system contains properties for transmission and receiving data about whether the complaint report of the violator's vehicle has been received in real time. It also works in conjunction with the existing parking enforcement system. This paper describes implementation of the proposed system.

  • Lately mobile handheld devices such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and cellular phones are getting more popular for personal web surfing. However, today most mobile handheld devices have relatively poor web browsing capability due to their low performance so their users have to suffer longer communication latency than those of desktop Personal Computers (PCs). In this paper, we propose an effective pre-refresh mechanism for embedded web browser of mobile handheld devices to reduce this problem. The proposed mechanism uses the idle time to pre-refresh the expired web objects in an embedded web browser's cache memory. It increases the utilization of Central Processing Unit (CPU) power and network bandwidth during the idle time and consequently reduces the client's latency and web browsing cost. An experiment was done using a simulator designed by us to evaluate the efficacy of the proposed mechanism. The experiment result demonstrates that it has a good performance to make web surfing faster.

  • In distributed computing paradigm, mobile surrogate systems migrates from on host in a network to another. However, Mobile surrogate system have not gained wide acceptance because of security concerns that have not been suitably addressed yet. In this paper, we propose a security framework based on Grid Proxy Gateway for mobile Grid service. The current Grid Security Infrastructure is extended to mobile computing environments. The surrogate host system designed for mobile Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) users can access the certified host and get his proxy credential to launch remote job submission securely.

  • In network human-robot interaction, human can access services of a robot system through the network The communication is done by interacting with the distributed sensors via voice, gestures or by using user network access device such as computer, PDA. The service organization and exploration is very important for this distributed system. In this paper we propose a new agent-based framework to integrate partners of this distributed system together and help users to explore the service effectively without complicated configuration. Our system consists of several robots. users and distributed sensors. These partners are connected in a decentralized but centralized control system using agent-based technology. Several experiments are conducted successfully using our framework The experiments show that this framework is good in term of increasing the availability of the system, reducing the time users and robots needs to connect to the network at the same time. The framework also provides some coordination methods for the human robot interaction system.

  • We model a moving object as a sizable physical entity equipped with GPS, wireless communication capability, and a computer such as a PDA and mobile phone. Furthermore, we have observed that a real trajectory of a moving object is the result of interactions among moving objects in the system yielding Multi-points instead of a line segment. In this paper, the new types and operations are integrated seamlessly into the moving object framework to achieve a relatively simple, consistent and powerful overall model and query language for constrained and unconstrained movement.
