Analysis of Partial Discharge Signal Propagation Characteristics in GIS Using FEM (FEM을 이용한 GIS내 부분방전 신호의 전파특성 해석)

  • The UHF electromagnetic waves excited by PD pulses propagate along the GIS busbar not only TEM mode, but also TE and TM mode. Generally the waves detected by the UHF sensors are those of high order modes and such waves can only propagate the higher than cut-off frequency. In this paper, computed cut-off frequency of 362[kV] GIS by each modes and simulated electromagnetic field of each propagation modes by FEM(Finite Element Method) program. Frequency band of each TEmn/TMmn modes were determinated by simulation results and were discussed optimal position of UHF sensor from this results.

  • 국내 원자력발전소에 설치되어 있는 고압케이블은 장기운전에 따라 열화진단 및 유지보수의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 주기적 안전성 평가(Periodic Safety Review) 및 계속운전과 관련하여서도 고압케이블의 관리방안이 지속적으로 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 원자력발전소에 설치되어 있는 13.8kV급 고압케이블의 건전성을 확인하기 위하여 원자력발전소 계획예방정비 중 열화진단을 수행한 결과를 소개하고 있다. 특히 미국 NRC(Nuclear Regulatory Commission)에서는 케이블 진단 기법 11가지를 권고하고 있는데 본 논문에서는 그 중 국내 원자력발전소에 적용이 가능한 최신 케이블 진단 기술인 HFCT(High Frequency Current Transformer)를 이용한 부분방전(Partial Discharge ; PD) 측정, VLF(Very Low Frequency) 장치를 이용한 $Tan{\delta}$ 측정 및 열화상카메라를 이용한 케이블 온도 측정을 사용하여 고압 케이블 진단을 실시하였고, 그 결과를 서술하였다.

  • In this work, a possible new PD detection technique, based on the Michelson Interferometer, has been proposed. Laser beam transmitted by optical fiber is spliced into two-laser beam by 50/50 coupler, one is reflected on diaphragm, which is vibrated by ultrasonic sound, and then modulated. The other one is reference beam. They are collected into 50/50 coupler making interferenced beam which could be detected by photo detector.

  • In this paper, we present the fabrication and characteristic analysis of Sagnac interferometric optical fiber senior(OFS) system for detecting pulsed ultrasonic signal in underwater. The hollow cylindrical mandrel wound round by single mode optical fiber is used as sensing component. The ultrasonic signal source is simulated by the PZT actuator operated by an function generator. The distance dependency of the OFS's sensitivity was measured. The sensitivity has been shown to be inversely propotional to the square-root of distance between ultrasonic source and sensing component. It has also been shown that the OFS could detect the signals less affected by ultrasonic path comparing to conventional acousto-electric sensor. and accurate location of ultrasonic signal could be carried out using two OFSs.

  • Growth of Electrical Tree Under 50Hz~60Hz high electric stress has been studied on the Occurrence of a Pattern, to the Progression Speed at Y axis of electrical Tree. CCD Images of evolving tree structures could be obtained in both systems. Electrical Treeing was found to occur reproducibly, but in a markedly different manner in the two morphologimlly different but chemically identical materials. For the measurement of Electrical Tree, a visual measurement with an optical microscope has been used to explain breakdown mechanism in High-voltage systems.

  • Ultrasonic signal characteristics related with the growth of electrical trees in epoxy resin are examined under 67[Hz] ac voltage application along with a CCD camera and PD current method. The ultrasonic sensor with a resonant frequency of 200[Hz] supported by a mechanical spring is attached directly to the lower-side of plane electrode. The magnitude of Partial discharge and count rate of ultrasonic signals have been measured according to the tree growth from a needle tip in an epoxy sample.

  • 기중, $SF_6$ 가스 및 절 연유에서 부분방전시 방사되는 전자파의 주파수 특성을 분석하였다. 비슷한 구성의 부분방전 발생장치(PD Cell)에서 절연유에서의 부분방전이 가장 최고 높은 주파수의 신호가 발생하였으며 $SF_6$ 가스 하에서 비교적 높은 주파수의 부분방전 신호가 발생하였다. 또한 부분 방전의 종류에 따라 전자파 방전신호가 수직 편파되어 있음을 알 수 있었나. 본 결과는 전자파를 이용한 변전기기의 부분방전 측정기술 개발에 응용할 예정이다.

  • Insulators for high-voltage and large-power should be endured mechanically the weight of mold bushing itself and the force of pushed from contact with circuit breaker and conductor. But dielectric breakdown could be occurred result from the external circumstances and internal factors such as chemical reaction, partial discharge, change of temperature and the relation of temperature-time in process of casting. Therefore, to get rid of external and internal factors of dielectric breakdown. Furthermore, to prevent the internal cracks, void, cavity which resulted from the contraction originated on the interface between copper and epoxy resin, formed semi-conductive layer with partially carbon painted on copper bar. The PD properties and the insulation qualities of epoxy molded insulators were improved by roles of cushions for the direction of diameter and natural sliding effects as like separated from conductor for the direction of length.

  • In this paper, a novel monitoring system, data acquisition & diagnosis unit (DADU), for high-voltage rotating machines is proposed. This system monitors the insulation condition, current, voltage, vibration, and temperature of the stator winding by on-line measurements of partial discharge (PD), flux, etc. This helps more efficient operation and maintenance of the rotating machines.

  • 변압기 절연유 하에서 부분방전시 방사되는 전자파의 주파수 특성을 분석하였다. 4종류의 부분방전 발생장치(PD cell)를 제작하여 실험하였으며 방전신호의 PRPS 및 PRPD를 분석하였다. 유중에서 비교적 높은 주파수의 부분방전 신호가 발생하였으며 실험결과 부분방전의 종류에 따라 전자파 방전신호의 다른 특성을 확인하였다. 본 결과는 전자파를 이용한 변전기기의 부분방전 측정기술 개발에 활용할 예정이다.
