A study about computer diagnosis that apply fuzzy algorithm and PRPDA accumulation detection of PD signal (부분방전 신호의 PRPDA누적 검출과 퍼지 알고리즘을 이용한 컴퓨터 진단에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we introduce about a new class to analysis of partial discharge signal based on Fuzzy model. We can early diagnose life of power cable through detection of partial discharge signal. However, partial discharge signal detector is difficult because of partial discharge signal is very non-linear. Also, it is very difficult work that separate partial discharge signal from noise. We constructed partial discharge accumulation detection system that use Labview for detection of non-linear partial discharge signal. And analyzed partial discharge signal that is detected by Labview system utilizing Fuzzy model.

  • To detect the PD events, we have studied a fusion sensor, the UHF sensor and the single-walled carbon nanotube(SWNT) gas sensor. We are accustomed to the UHF sensor which have employed to detect the partial discharges in apparatus GIS-like. But the SWNT gas sense is a newly way proposed to detect the partial discharges. In this study, we monitored not only the changes of the electrical conductance of the SWNT sensors in responding to the PD events but also the signal of the UHF sensor at the same time with IEC 60270 standard method for reference on the partial discharge events.

  • During normal machine operation, partial discharge(PD) measurements were performed with turbine generator analyzer(TGA) in imitation stator winding of high voltage motors. The motor was energized to 4.47kV, 6.67, respectively. Applied voltage to Imitation winding was used two voltage level, 4.47[KV]and 6.67[KV]. Motors having imitation stator winding were installed with 80pF capacitive couplers at the terminal box Case of PD Pattern regarding applied voltage phase angel, the PD patterns were displayed two dimensional and three dimensional. TGA summarizes each plot with two quantities such as the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the peak PD magnitude(Qm). As the result, we could discrimidate using TGA the difference of internal and surface discharge for imitation stator winding. We have used the other technique, in order to feature extraction of faulty signals on stator winding, Daubechies Discrete wavelet transform and Harmonics analysis(FFT) about faulty signals.

  • The method of maintenance in railway is going to be changed to improve reliability on traction equipment. Partial discharge (PD) tests are useful to evaluate the insulation condition of stator winding. This paper describes the use of PD tests with 5 model coils which have the defects such as internal, slot discharge. The PD tests are performed with epoxy-mica coupler 500 pF at various AC voltages. The result of test shows PD pattern can correlate with the species of defects on 5 model coils.

Two 6.6kV motors were installed with 80pF capacitive couplers at the terminal box. The PD patterns were displayed two dimensional and three dimensional. TGA summarizes each plot with two quantifies such as the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the peak PD magnitude(Qm). Off-line PD measurements were conducted on one 4.16kV motor. The motor was energized to 2.4kV, 3.0kV, 3.5kV and 4.16kV, respectively. The PD levels in pC were measured with a conventional digital PD detector. The comparison of positive to negative PD indicates whether the defect elements of PD are within the insulation or on the insulation surface. Discharge at conductor surface was discovered in No. 1 motor. Internal discharges were generated in phase A, B and C of No. 2 motor, Slot discharges occurred in three phases of No. 3 motor.

  • This paper deals with multiresolution analysis of wavelet transform for partial discharge(PD), composite discharge(corona + surlace discharge). Multiresolution analysis was used for performing discrete wavelet transform PD signals was decomposed into "approximation" and "detail" cOmpJnents until 4 levels by using discrete wavelet analysis. In this paper, daubechies family is adopted for the research of the characteristics of PD signals. 1be results show that in corona discharge the segment 7, 8, 9, 10, 1] values of defined variable is increased with discharge process, so phase distribution is characterized by 210~330 ranges. In case surface discharge in expoxy insulator inserted, defined variable values is fairly symmetric chscharge pattern because coupled both corona and dielectric oounded discharges. We can confimJly discriminate the type of PD source.

  • In this work, it is proposed new PD(partial discharge) detection technique using electro-optic effect, for which partial discharges generated from needle-plane electrode in air were detected through optical measuring system by use of $LiNbO3_3$ electro-optic crystal. As a result, it is noticed that PD measurable phase intervals are limited by the asymmetrical D-E hysteresis loop of the crystal with defects and half-wave voltage. However, both number of measured PD pulses and their amplitude were increased with applied voltage, which likely implies that it is possible to detect PD through newly proposed electro-optic method.

  • One of the cause of insulation failure in power cable is well known by electrical treeing discharge. This is occurred for imposed continuous stress at cable. And this event is related to safety, reliability and maintenance. In this paper, throughout analysis of partial discharge(PD) distribution when occurring the electrical tree, is studied for the purpose of knowing of electrical treeing discharge characteristics according to defects. Own characteristic of tree will be differently processed in each defect and this reason is the first purpose of this paper. To acquire PD data, three defective tree models were made. And their own data is shown by the phase-resolved partial discharge method (PRPD). As a result of PRPD, tree discharge sources have their own characteristics. And if other defects (void, metal particle) exist internal power cable then their characteristics are shown very different. This result Is related to the time of breakdown and this is importance of cable diagnosis. And classification method of PD sources was studied in this paper. It needs select the most useful method to apply PD data classification one of the proposed method. To meet the requirement, we select methods of different type. That is, neural network(NN-BP), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system and PCA-LDA were applied to result. As a result of, ANFIS shows the highest rate which value is 98 %. Generally, PCA-LDA and ANFIS are better than BP. Finally, we performed classification of tree progress using ANFIS and that result is 92 %.
