Design and Implementation of Internet Broadcasting System based on P2P Architecture (P2P 구조에 기반한 인터넷 방송 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • IStreaming services with a client-server architecture have scalability problem because a server cannot accomodate clients more than its processing capability. This paper introduces a case study for implementing H.264 streaming system based on P2P architecture in order to provide scalable and stable broadcast streaming services over the internet. The prototype system called OmniCast264 consists of the H.264 encoding server, the streaming server, the proxy server, and peer nodes. The proxy server dynamically manages placement of the peer nodes on the P2P network. Omnicast264 has the concepts of distributed streaming loads, real-time playback, error-robustness and modularity. Thus, it can provide large-scale broadcast streaming services. Finally, we have built P2P streaming systems with 12 PCs connected serially or in parallel. The experiment shows that OmniCast264 can provide real-time playback.

Reservoir Trophic State and Empirical Model Analysis, Based on Nutrients, Transparency, and Chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ Along with Their Relations Among the Parameters (영양염류, 투명도 및 엽록소를 이용한 인공호 영양상태, 경험적 모델 분석 및 변수들 간의 상호관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine trophic state, based on nutrients (TN, TP), transparency (SD), and chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ (Chl) and identify their empirical relations of TN-Chl, TP-Chl and Chl-SD depending on the dataset used along with dynamics of conductivity and suspended solids. Analysis of trophic states showed that more than half of 36 reservoirs were judged as eutrophic-hypertrophic conditions depending on the trophic variables. Seasonal values of TP varied by nearly 500% and showed greater in August than any other months. In contrast, TN varied within less than 90% and all monthly mean values of TN were never fall less than 1.2 mg L$^{-1}$ indicating low seasonal variations and high ambient concentrations (eutrophic-hypertrophic state). Analysis of empirical relations in the trophic variables showed that transparency had greater functional relations with Chl (R$^2$=0.31, p<0.001) than TP (R$^2$=0.15, p<0.001) and TN (R$^2$=0.20, p<0.001). Ratios of TN : TP in the ambient water indicated that most reservoirs showed a potential phosphorous limitation on the algal growth. Thus, algal biomass, based on Chl values, was more regulated by phosphorous than nitrogen. Analysis of linear regression model, based on log-transformed annual mean values, showed that only 30% in the variation of Chl was explained by TP (R$^2$=0.295, p=0.001, n=36) and 15% by TN (R$^2$=0.151, p=0.019, n=36). However, linear regression model, based on individual system, showed that Chl-TP model had strong positive relations (R$^2$=0.62, p=0.002, n=12), whereas the model had no any relations (p=0.892, n=12). Overall, our data suggested that averaging effect in the empirical model developments may influence the significance in the statistical analysis.

  • An analysis including ASE model accessing based on the intention of behavior performance of online university students is a new approach to improve academic persistence considering the characteristics of students with extensive personal variables, a uniqueness of learning environment. This study aimed to identify the relationship between ASE model including academic stress and academic persistence, and the effect of these factors on academic persistence of online university students. Data were collected from 181 sophomores in K open university from March to June, 2018. Frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis used for data analysis. For factors affecting academic persistence, academic stress (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.016), online learning attitude (${\beta}=.44$, p<.001), and social support among social influential factors (${\beta}=.16$, p=.045) were statistically significant and the prediction model of academic persistence showed 29% explanation power (F=15.76, p<.001). To enhance academic persistence of online university students, it is needed to develop programs to reduce academic stress, improve attitude toward online learning, and improve social support.

Effects of PETTLEP Model-based Image Training on Nursing Student' Confidence and Competency in Core Basic Nursing Skills,Participation in Self-Practice (PETTLEP 모델 기반 심상훈련 적용이 간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감 및 수행능력, 자율실습 참여도에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is a similar experimental study before and after the inequality control group to investigate the effect of PETTLEP model-based image training on fundamental nursing practice education on the confidence and competence ability of core basic nursing skills, and participation in autonomous practice. Data were collected by randomly assigning 74 students who understood the purpose of the study and voluntarily agreed to participate in the study among second-year students of the Department of Nursing at U University located in K Province, randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. For the collected data, frequency and percentage were used for general characteristics of subjects using SPSS Statistics 23.0 program, skewness and kurtosis were used for normality test, and the dependent variable test for measuring the effect of experimental treatment was analyzed by paired t-test. As a result of the study, PETTLEP model-based image training showed confidence in core basic nursing skills(t=4.18, p<.001) and competence (knowledge(t=2.241, p=.032), nursing skills(t=8.402, p<.001)), there were statistically significant differences in self-practice participation(t=6.822, p<.001). Based on the results of this study, the PETTLEP model-based image training provided Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that PETTLEP model-based image training can be a teaching and learning method applicable to basic nursing education. In addition, PETTLEP model-based image training is expected to be utilized as a learning method to improve the competence of core basic nursing skills, which are recognized as difficult due to their high level of difficulty.

  • 향후 인터넷 기반 애플리케이션에는 확장성, 보안 및 신뢰성, 새로운 서비스에 대한 유연성 및 QoS 등의 요구사항이 중요하다. 기존 클라이언트-서버 방식에서 이러한 요구 사항의 만족을 위해서는 복잡성 및 고비용 문제가 제기된다. 반면, 모든 형태의 분산 자원 접근이 가능한 P2P 통신 방식에서는 보다 간단한 해결방안을 제시함으로써 인터넷 기반 애플리케이션에 새로운 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 인터넷의 전통적인 클라이언트-서버 패러다임과는 달리 완전 분산 및 자율 조직 특성을 가진 P2P 개념은 확장성 및 신뢰성 측면에서 장래의 애플리케이션, 시스템 요소, 인프라 서비스를 위한 기본 설계지침으로 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 P2P 실시간 스트리밍 프로토콜의 새로운 모델인 PREP 프로토콜을 설계 및 구현한다. 제안된 P2P 실시간 스트리밍 프로토콜을 NS-2를 통해서 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 P2P 기반의 스트리밍 서비스의 가능성을 확인한다.

  • 새로운 기술의 도입으로 바라보았을 때 인터넷이라는 기술은 기존에 가능하기 못하였던 다양한 비즈니스 모델의 출현을 가능하게 하여 주었다. 향후에는 지능형 에이전트라는 새로운 기술로 인하여 현재의 비즈니스 모델이 어떻게 새로운 기회를 찾게 될 수 있는지 파악하는 것은 관련 사업담당자들에게 의미 있는 일이라 사료된다. 본 논문에서는 지능형 에이전트 기술을 기존의 속성 기준의 분류를 지양하고 비즈니스 모델 관점에서 핵심역량, 사용주체, 사용공간, 수익원천의 기준으로 분류하고 대표적인 비즈니스 모델인 경매모델, P2P 모델, 전자몰 모델등에서의 구매자 혹은 판매자가 이러한 지능형 에이전트 기술을 보유하였을 경우에 가능한 시나리오와 도식화된 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 표 질의응답이란, 주어진 표에서 질의문에 대한 답변을 자동으로 추출하거나 생성하는 기술을 말한다. 최근 언어모델을 사용한 연구들은 정답을 유도할 수 있는 명령문인 프롬프트를 활용하여 더 높은 성능을 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 표 질의응답의 성능을 향상시키기 위해, 프롬프트를 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 모델을 제안한다. 이와 함께, 다양한 형태의 프롬프트를 사용하여 모델을 평가한다. 실험 결과, 기본 모델에 단순 질의문만 입력으로 사용했을 때의 성능 F1 67.5%에 비해, 다양한 프롬프트를 입력으로 사용한 경우 1.6%p 향상된 F1 69.1%을 보였다. 또한, 다양한 프롬프트와 함께 제안 모델을 사용했을 때에는 기본 모델보다 2.2%p 높은 F1 69.7%을 달성했다.

Effect of Potassium Chloride on the Separation and Purification of Model Proteins using Counter Current Distribution (역류분배에 의한 모델단백질의 분리정제시 염화칼륨의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The changes in the partition coefficient of model proteins (lysozyme, myoglobin, conalbumin, bovine serum albumin) in an aqueous two·phase system formed by polyethylene glycol and dextran were examined in order to improve the capacity of counter current distribution (CCD) for the protein fractionation and concentration . The protein distribution pattern in CCD with 30 tubes varied with the pH (4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 9.0, 12.0) and KCl concentration (0mM, 50mM, 250mM, 500mM) of the system. From the mixture of model proteins, pure myoglobin was appeared at the upperphase of 14th tube having 50mM of KCl at pH 5.5 and the upper-phase of 13th tube having 250mM of KCl at pH 6.5. Similarly pure BSA was obtained at the 14th tube having KCl 250mM with pH 4.5, pure lysozyme at the 19th tube having 500mM of KCl at pH 4.5 and the upper-phase of 16th tube 50mM of KCl at pH 5.5.

  • P2P networks are undergoing rapid progress and inspiring numerous developments by gossip-based protocol. Gossip-based protocols for group communication have attractive scalability and reliability properties. We propose a self-organizing algorithm in the sense that the size of neighbor list achieved without any node knowing the group size. We also propose an efficient mechanism to reduce the redundancy of the system by backing up the nodes in the neighbor list. We present the design, theoretical analysis, and a detailed evaluation of the proposed algorithm and its refinements.
