리트벨트 구조분석법에 의한 $CeO_2$의 결정크기 및 미세응력 결정 (Determination of Crystal Size and Microstrain of $CeO_2$ by Rietveld Structure Refinement)

  • 최근 기능성 나노물질로서 반도체 공정 중 기계.화학적 평탄화(CMP)용 연마제로 중요하게 사용되는 세리아(Ceria, $CeO_2$)에 대해서 X-선 회절분석을 실시하여 리트벨트법에 의한 상세한 구조해석 및 세리아의 입자크기와 미세응력을 측정하였다. 두 시료(RT735. RT835)의 리트벨트 계산 결과 R지수 값은 각각 $R_p(%)=8.50$, 8.34; $R_{wp}(%)=13.4$, 13.5; $R_{exp}(%)=11.3$, 11.5; $R_B(%)=2.21$, 2.36; S(GofF: Goodness of fit)=1.2, 1.2를 보여주며 계산이 잘 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다. $CeO_2$는 공간군 Fm3m을 가지며, 격자상수는 a=5.41074(2), 5.41130(6) ${\AA}$, V=158.406(1), 158.455(3) ${\AA}^3$으로 각각 계산되었다. 입자크기 및 미세응력 계산 결과, RT735의 평균 입자크기와 최대 응력은 37.42(1) nm, 0.0026이며, RT835는 72.80(2) nm, 0.0013으로 각각 결정되었다. 입자크기와 미세응력은 서로 반비례함을 알 수 있다.

매몰재의 혼수비가 치관 보철물 변연의 적합성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Marginal Fit of Dental Prosthesis According to the W/P Ratio of Investment)

  • This test is verifying for influence of W/P ratio of investment upon dental prosthesis Firstly we made 40 MOD die and divide 4 groups, each group take 0.2 different w/p ratio grade such as 0.35, 0.37, 0.39 and 0.41. The method of data analysis applied were by ANOVA, Tukey test and Mann-Whiney and Kruskal Wallis test. The finding of this study were as follows : 1. The 0.37 w/p ratio group showed most accurte margin due to $15.8{\mu}m$ gap between margin and die which keep up with manufacture's instruction and 0.35 w/p ratio group was followed as second accuracy group o 새 $48.3{\mu}m$ gap between margin and die, 0.39 w/p ratio group showed $101{\mu}m$ gap and 0.41 w/p ratio group showed $129.8{\mu}m$ gap. 2. As to the relationship of the margin accuracy between 4 different grade of w/p ratio groups, each group was statistically significant(P<0.01). Also the all groups were statistically significant except between 0.35 and 0.37 groups between 0.39 and 0.41 groups, and between 0.35 and 0.39 groups. 3. A consequence of Mann-Whitney & Kruskal-Wallis test for marginal accuracy between 4 different grade of w/p ratio was statistically significant as same as above ANOVA test result. Also Tukey test for verifying similarity from each group showed same as above.

  • 수용액에서 ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)에 대한 다염소치환페놀류의 흡착과 산활를 조사하였다. 제안된 메카니즘중에서 ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)에 대한 염소치환페놀류의 흡착반응은 용액의 pH와 염소치환페놀의 농도에 의존하였다. 흡착등온선은 Langmuir등온선의 형태이었다. 흡착분배계수의 pH의존성과 염소치환페놀의 옥타놀-물 분배계수와의 직선적인 관계로부터 흡착은 연소치환페놀류의 hydrophobicity에 지배되는 것으로 보였다. ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)의 환원성 용해속도로부터 구한 전자전이 반응속도는 염소치환페놀류의 농도와 매질의 pH에 거의 직선적으로 의존하였다. Meta위치 염소치환페놀류의 실험적인 속도상수($K_0$)는 염소치환페녹시 라디칼의 공명효과 때문에 ortho 및 para위치는 치환체보다 크게 작았다. 이것은 흡착반응 중 이 라디칼이 생성되며, 전자전이반응이 곧 속도결정단계임을 나타내는 것이다.

Efficiency comparison of advanced oxidation processes for ciprofloxacin removal from aqueous solutions: Sonochemical, sono-nano-chemical and sono-nano-chemical/persulfate processes

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the degradation of ciprofloxacin (CIP) from its aqueous solutions via different advanced oxidation processes (AOP). The effects of persulfate (PS) concentration, pH, zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) dose, initial CIP concentration, and reaction time on the degradation of CIP were studied. It was found that the sonochemical (US) degradation is a less efficient process (with removal efficiency of 36%) compared to the sono-nano-chemical (US/ZnO) process which resulted in removal efficiency of 70%. Maximum removal of 99% was obtained using the sono-nano-chemical/PS (US/ZnO/PS) process at a frequency of 60 kHz, time of 10 min, pH of 7, initial CIP concentration of 25 mg/L, and PS concentration of 476.06 mg/L. The addition of PS and ZnO-NPs to the process enhanced the rate of US degradation of CIP. In addition, the kinetic parameters for the US/ZnO/PS process were obtained by fitting the kinetic data into the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models. The kinetic data was found to fit into the pseudo-first-order kinetic model than the pseudo-second-order model. The results showed that the AOP using US/ZnO/PS is a promising technique for the treatment of ciprofloxacin containing solutions.

The Polarization of Wealth: The Effect of Support of Knowledge Management on Knowledge Management Activity and Company Performance

  • This study attempts to verify effects of CEO' supports, compensation and educational training and those of individual annual salaries and company's sales on promotion of knowledge management expected to contribute to enhancing construction industry's competitiveness, from the perspective of person-organization fit. For the analysis, a total of 368 effective questionnaires were used to conduct independent sample t-test, regression analysis and hierarchical moderated regression analysis. The findings show that individual annual salaries have a positive relationship with company's performance and company's sales also have positive relationships with both knowledge management activities and company performance, and CEO's supports, compensation and educational training are important factors that can improve knowledge management activities. In addition, the principle that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is also operated in construction industry, as in other industries. Therefore, members in a company should conduct optimal strategies to enhance the knowledge management activities through selection and concentration, while governmental agencies require the establishment of IT system for it and supports for related cost and consulting of it.

Removal of reactive black 5 dye by using polyoxometalate-membrane

  • A POM-membrane was fabricated by immobilizing a keggin type polyoxometalate (POM) H5PV2Mo10O40 onto the surface of microporous flat-sheet polymeric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVFD) membrane using a chemical deposition method. The POM-membrane was characterized by FT-IR, SEM and EDX to confirm existing of the POM onto the membrane surface. The POM-membrane was used to remove an anionic textile dye (Reactive Black 5 named as an RB5) from aqueous phases with a cross-flow membrane filtration and a batch adsorption system. The dye removal efficiency of the POM-membrane using the cross-flow membrane filtration system and the batch adsorption system was about 88% and 98%, respectively. The influence factors such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, pH, and initial dye concentration were investigated to understand the adsorption mechanism of the RB5 dye onto the POM-membrane. To find the best fitting isotherm model, Langmuir, Freundlich, BET and Harkins-Jura isotherm models were used to analyze the experimental data. The isotherm analysis showed that the Langmuir isotherm model was found to the best fit for the adsorption data (R2 = 0.9982, qmax = 24.87 mg/g). Also, adsorption kinetic models showed the pseudo second order kinetic model was found the best model to fit the experimental data (R2 = 0.9989, q = 8.29 mg/g, C0 = 15 ppm). Moreover, after four times regeneration with HNO3 acid, the POM-membrane showed high regenerability without losing dye adsorption capacity.

Spatial and Temporal Variability of Water Quality in Korean Dam Reservoirs

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate spatial and temporal variability of water quality in 10 reservoirs and identify the key nutrients (N, P) influencing chlorophyll-a (CHL) along with analysis of empirical models and zonal patterns of total phosphorus (TP) and CHL. We analyzed total nitrogen (TN), TP, CHL, water clarity (Secchi depth, SD), and evaluated potential limiting nutrient using ambient N:P ratios and previous criteria of ambient nutrients. Water clarity and CHL varied largely depending on the seasonal monsoon and type of reservoir, but trophic state was diagnosed as eutrophy, base on mean CHL in most reservoirs. The peak of TP did not match the contents of CHL due to rapid flushing during the high run-off period. In the reservoir of DR, regression coefficient in the $P_r$ was 0.510 but was 0.159 in the $M_o$, while the TP-CHL relation in the YR increased during the monsoon compared to the premonsoon. The regression coefficient in the $P_r$ was not statistically significant but the value of $M_o$ was 0.250. TP showed similar longitudinal zonal gradients among the reservoirs of DR, YR and JR. Empirical models of TP-CHL, based on overall data, showed that CHL was determined by phosphorus($R^2=0.244$, p=0.0019). Regression analysis of CHL-SD showed a stronger linear fit ($R^2=0.638$, p<0.001) than the TP-CHL model.

수도묘(水稻苗)에 시용(施用)한 규산(珪酸)과 인산(燐酸)의 영향(影響)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Effects of Silicate and Phosphate Application on the Growth of Rice Seedling)

  • 답(畓)에 시용(施用)한 규산(珪酸)과 인산(燐酸)의 영향(影響)을 조사(調査) 연구(硏究)하기 위해서 직경(直徑) 15cm의 Petri dish에 200grs의 풍건세토(風乾細土)와 3 수준(水準)의 규산(珪酸) 인산(燐酸) 처리(處理)를 하고 질소(窒素)와 가리(加里)는 동일량(同一量)을 매회(每回) 처리(處理)하는 9개구(個區)를 설치(設置) 농림(農林) 25호(號)를 100립(粒) 씩 최아(催芽) 낙종(落種)하여 5회(回) 계속(繼續) 재배(栽培)하고 식물체분석(植物體分析) 및 토양분석(土壤分析)을 실시(實施)한 성적(成績)을 분석(分析) 평가(評價)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 인산(燐酸)의 흡수량(吸收量)이 많을수록 수도묘(水稻苗)의 건물중(乾物重)은 현저히 증대(增大)하였으나 규산(珪酸)의 흡수량(吸收量) 증대(增大)로 건물중(乾物重)은 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 2. 시험(試驗) 후(後) 토양(土壤)의 유효 인산함량(燐酸含量)이 많은 것일수록 식물체중(植物體中)의 규산함량(珪酸含量) 및 흡수량(吸收量)은 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)이며 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비율(比率)은 현저히 감소(減少)되었다. 3. 규회석(珪灰石) 시용(施用)으로 시험(試驗) 후(後) 토양중(土壤中)의 유효 규산(珪酸), 석회(石灰) 함량(含量)과 식물체(植物體) 중(中)의 규산(珪酸) 함량(含量), 규산(珪酸) 흡수량(吸收量) $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비율(比率)은 현저히 증대(增大)되었으며 4. 토양중(土壤中)의 유효규산함량 자체(自體)의 증대(增大) 보다도 석회함량(石灰含量)의 증대(增大)가 식물체(植物體) 중(中) 규산함량(珪酸含量) 규산(珪酸) 흡수량(吸收量) 및 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$ 비(比)의 증대(增大)와 더욱 높은 상관(相關)을 보였다. 5. 식물체중(植物體中)의 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비율(比率)을 조절(調節)하기 위해서는 토양중(土壤中)의 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비율(比率)을 조절(調節)하므로서 가능(可能)하며 6. 식물체중(植物體中)의 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비율(比率)(y)은 시험(試驗) 후(後) 토양중(土壤中)의 유효 $SiO_2/P_2O_5$의 비(比)(x)와 $y=0.665+1.420x-0.0825x^2$의 회귀관계(回歸關係)가 있으며 적중율(適中率)($r^2$)은 82%였다.

캐올리나이트 표면에서의 구리 수착 메카니즘 : 전자상자성공명 및 EXAFS 연구 (Copper(II) Sorption Mechanism on Kaolinite : An EPR and EXAFS Study)

  • 캐올리나이트(KGa-lb) 표면에 수착된 구리를 전자상자성공명(electron paramagnetic resonance) 과 EXAFS (extended X-ray absorption fine structure) 분광법을 이용하여 연구하였다. 수착된 구리는 상온에서 $g_{iso}\;=\;2.19$의 등방성 전자상자성공명 흡수 신호를 보여 준다. 77 K에서 이러한 등방성 신호는 $g_{\$\mid$}\;=\;2.40,\;g_{\bot}\;=\;2.08$, 그리고 $A_{\$\mid$}\;=\;131\;G$의 전자상자성공명 파라미터를 가지는 축대칭 이방성 신호로 바뀐다. 전자상자성공명 분석 결과로부터 수착된 구리 이온이 찌그러진 $CuO_{6}$ 팔면체 구조의 외부권착물을 형성함을 알 수 있다. 수착 실험에서 용액의 pH가 증가함에 따라 수착된 구리의 양은 증가하였다. 그러나 등방성 신호는 수착된 구리의 양에 단순 비례하지는 않았다. 수착된 구리 이온이 높은 pH조건에서 표면 침전을 형성함을 가정함으로써 이러한 불일치를 해소할 수 있다. EXAFS 결과로부터 이러한 표면 침전의 존재를 확인할 수 있었다. 최적의 fitting 결과는 수착된 구리 이온이 $1.96\;{\AA}$ 거리에 결합된 4개의 수평 방향 산소와 $2.31\;{\AA}$ 거리에 결합된 2개의 축 방향 산소로 이뤄진 첫 번째 산소 껍질과 함께 $3.08\;{\AA}$ 거리에 평균 6.8개의 구리 이웃 원자들을 가짐을 보여준다. 이 연구는 캐올리나이트에 수착된 구리 이온의 국소 환경이 용액의 pH와 표면 농도에 따라 변화하며 그러한 변화를 연구하는데 전자상자성공명과 EXAFS가 효과적으로 활용될 수 있음을 보여 준다.

Application of Inverse Pole Figure to Rietveld Refinement: I. Rietveld Refinement of Copper Sheet using X-ray Diffraction Data

  • Both the X-ray diffraction data of the normal direction in the sample orientation and the pole figure data of three reflections, (111), (200) and (220), were used to do the Rietveld refinement for the copper sheet prepared by a cold rolling process. The agreement between calculated and observed patterns was not satisfactory, which was attributed to the preferred orientation effect of the copper sheet. The Rietveld refinement for the copper sheet could be done successfully by applying the pole density of each reflection obtained from the corresponding inverse pole figure to the X-ray diffraction data of the normal direction. The R-weighted pattern, $R_{wp}$ was 12.99% and the goodness-of-fit indicator, S, was 3.68.
