In this paper, The stress induced leakage currents of thin silicon oxides is investigated in the nano scale structure implementation for Soc. The stress and transient currents associated with the on and off time of applied voltage were used to measure the distribution of high voltage stress induced traps in thin silicon oxide films. The stress and transient currents were due to the charging and discharging of traps generated by high stress voltage in the silicon oxides. The channel current for the thickness dependence of stress current, transient current, and stress induced leakage currents has been measured in oxides with thicknesses between $41\square\;and\;113.4\square,$ which have the channel width x length 10x1um, respectively. The stress induced leakage currents will affect data retention and the stress current, transient current is used to estimate to fundamental limitations on oxide thicknesses. The weight value of synapse transistor was caused by the bias conditions. Excitatory state and inhitory state according to weighted values affected the channel current. The stress induced leakage currents affected excitatory state and inhitory state.

Studies on niobium anodization in the mixture of 1 M $H_3PO_4$ and 1 wt % HF at galvanostatic anodization are described here in detail. Interestingly, duplex niobium oxide consisting of thick barrier oxide and correspondingly thick porous oxide was prepared at a constant current density of higher than 0.3 $mAcm^{-2}$, whereas simple porous type oxide was formed at a current density of lower than 0.3 $mAcm^{-2}$. In addition, simple barrier or porous type oxide was obtained by galvanostatic anodization at a single electrolyte of either 1 M $H_3PO_4$ or 1 wt % HF, respectively. The formation mechanism of duplex type structures was ascribed to different forming voltages required for moving anions.

Thin film SOI(Silicon-on-insulator) device offer unique advantages such as reduction in short channel effects, improvement of subthreshold slope, higher mobility, latch-up free nature, and so on. But these devices exhibit floating-body effet such as current kink which inhibits the proper device operation. In this paper, the SOI NMOSFET with a T-type gate structure is proposed to solve the above problem. To simulate the proposed device with TSUPREM-4, the part of gate oxide was considered to be 30nm thicker than the normal gate oxide. The I-V characteristics were simulated with 2D MEDICI. Since part of gate oxide has different oxide thickness, the gate electric field strength is not same throughout the gate and hence the impact ionization current is reduced. The current kink effect will be reduced as the impact ionization current drop. The reduction of current kink effect for the proposed device structure were shown using MEDICI by the simulation of impact ionization current, I-V characteristics, and hole current distribution.
The gate induced drain leakage(GIDL) current under the stress of worse case in -MOSFET's with ultrathin gate oxides has been measured and characterized. The GIDL current was shown that P-MOSFET's of the thicker gate oxide is smaller than that of the thinner gate oxide. It was the results that the this cur-rent is decreased with the increamental stress time at the same devices. It is analyzed that the formation components of GIDL current are both energy band to band tunneling at high gate-drain voltage and energy band to defect tunneling at low drain-gate voltage. The degradations of GIDL current was analyzed the mechanism of major role in the hot carriers trapping in gate oxide by on-state stress.

In this paper, the stress and transient currents associated with the on and off time of applied voltage were used to measure the density and distribution of high voltage stress induced traps in thin silicon oxide films. The transient currents were due to the discharging of traps generated by high stress voltage in the silicon oxides. The trap distributions were relatively uniform near both cathode and anode interface. The trap densities were dependent on the stress polarity. The stress generated trap distributions were relatively uniform the order of $10^{11}\sim10^{21}$[states/eV/$cm^2$] after a stress. The trap densities at the oxide silicon interface after high stress voltages were in the $10^{10}\sim10^{13}$[states/eV/$cm^2$]. It appear that the stress and transient current that flowed when the stress voltage were applied to the oxide was caused by carriers tunneling through the silicon oxide by the high voltage stress generated traps.

Supercapacitor is a capacitor with extraordinarily high energy density, which basically consists of current collector, active material and electrolyte. Ruthenium oxide ($RuO_2$) is one of the most widely studied active materials due to its high specific capacitance and good electrical conductivity. In general, it is known that the coating of $RuO_2$ on nanoarchitectured current collector shows improved performance of energy storage device compared to the coating on the planar current collector. Especially, the surface structure with standing coaxial nanopillars are most desirable since it can provide direct paths for efficient charge transport along the axial paths of each nanopillars and the inter-nanopillar spacing allows easy access of electrolyte ions. However, well-known fabrication methods for metal or metal oxide nanopillars, such as the process using anodize aluminum oxide (AAO) templates, often require long and complicated nanoprocess. In this work, we developed relatively simple method fabricating indium tin oxide (ITO) nanopillars via sputtering. We also electrodeposited $RuO_2$ nanoparticles onto these ITO nanopillars and investigated its physical and electrochemical properties.

Properties of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with aluminum-doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Al) anodes showed different behaviors from OLEDs with indium tin oxide (ITO) anodes according to driving conditions. OLEDs with ITO anodes gave higher current density and luminance in lower voltage region and better EL and power efficiency under lower current density conditions, However, OLEDs with ZnO:Al anodes gave higher current density and luminance in higher voltage region over about 8V and better EL and power efficiency under higher current density over $200mA/cm^2$. These seemed to be due to the differences in conduction properties of semiconducting ZnO:Al and metallic ITO. OLEDs with ZnO:Al anodes showed nearly saturated efficiency under high current driving conditions compared with those of OLEDs with ITO anodes. This meant better charge balance in OLEDs with ZnO:Al anodes. These properties of OLEDs with ZnO:Al anodes are useful in making bright display devices with efficiency.
A new type of electrochemical random signal (electrochemical noise) analysis technique was applied to localized corrosion of anodic oxide film formed 1100 aluminum alloy in $0.5kmol/m^3$$H_3BO_4/0.05kmol/m^3$$Na_2B_4O_7$ with $0.01kmol/m^3$ NaCl. The effect of anodic oxide film structure, barrier type, porous type, and composite type on galvanic corrosion resistance was also examined. Before localized corrosion started, incubation period for pitting corrosion, both current and potential slightly change as initial value with time. The incubation period of porous type anodic oxide specimens are longer than that of barrier type anodic oxide specimens. While pitting corrosion, the current and potential were changed with fluctuations and the potential and the current fluctuations show a good correlation. The records of the current and potential were processed by calculating the power spectrum density (PSD) by the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method. The potential and current PSD decrease with increasing frequency, and the slopes are steeper than or equal to minus one (-1). This technique allows observation of electrochemical impedance changes during localized corrosion.
During PEO (plasma-electrolytic-oxidation) treatment of titanium, the relationship between the thickness of oxide film and the measured electrical information was investigated. A simple real time monitoring method based on the electrical information being gathered during PEO treatment is proposed. The proposed method utilizes the current flowing from a high frequency voltage source to calculate the resistance of an oxide film, which is converted into the thickness of an oxide film. This monitoring method can be implemented in PEO system in which an oxide film is grown by constant or pulsed voltage/current sources.
