일체형 스마트 LED Driver ICs 패키지의 열 특성 분석 (Study on Thermal Characteristics of Smart LED Driver ICs Package)

  • This research was analyzed thermal characteristics that was appointed disadvantage when smart LED driver ICs was packaged and we applied extracted thermal characteristics for optimal layout design. We confirmed reliability of smart LED driver ICs package without additional heat sink. If the package is not heat sink, we are possible to minimize package. For extracting thermal loss due to overshoot current, we increased driver current by two and three times. As a result of experiment, we obtained 22 mW and 49.5 mW thermal loss. And we obtained optimal data of 350 mA driver current. It is important to distance between power MOSFET and driver ICs. If thhe distance was increased, the temperature of package was decreased. And so we obtained optimal data of 3.7 mm distance between power MOSFET and driver ICs. Finally, we fabricated real package and we analyzed the electrical characteristics. We obtained constant 35 V output voltage and 80% efficiency.

동적변화에 강인한 연료전지 발전시스템의 저주파 리플전류 제거 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Robust Algorithm to Eliminate Low Frequency Current Ripples in Fuel Cell Generation System)

  • This paper presents that generation and propagation mechanism of low frequency current ripples generated by a rectification effect of an inverter in fuel cell generation system is analyzed. The ripple reduction methode using hardware components such as capacitors and inductors is examined to reduce low frequency current ripples. A new fast and robust low frequency current ripple elimination algorithm is then proposed to incorporate a single loop current controller, which directly controls fuel cell current, without any extra hardware. The proposed algorithm can completely eliminate this current ripple as well as an overshoot or undershoot is significantly reduced. And the de link voltage and output current are well regulated by inverter controller. The validity of proposed algorithm is verified both computer simulation using PSIM 6.0 and experiment with a 1kW laboratory prototype.

Anti-windup Integral-Proportional Controller for Variable-Speed Motor Drives

  • The windup phenomenon appears and degrades control performance when a controller with integrating action is used and plant input is limited. An anti-windup integal-proportional(IP) controller is proposed for the variable-speed moter drives and it is experimentally applied to the speed control of a vector-controlled induction moter driven by a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage source inverter (VSI). The consistency range of the IP controller is firstly derived and the intergal state is controlled to salisfy always the consistency range according to whether the the controller output is saturated or not. Although the operating condition like moter load or speed command is changed under the limited plant input, It is expermentally verified that the speed response has much improved performance, such as no overshoot and fast settling time, and the maximmum plant input is also effectively utilized.

  • In this Paper, there have been brief review about the important consideration in laboratory planning and designing the dielectric testing facilities for heavy electric apparatus up to 800kV-class in the high voltage testing fields. To improve and reinforce the existing dielectric test facilities in the way of econo-mical and optimal condition, wide investigation and an analysis for a solution, especially overshoot compensation method. have been suggested. With the brief description about those matters in constructing and improving the test facilities, the specification of each facility has been shown in the paper.

  • This Paper presents a solution to control the Brushless DC Motor(BLDCM) in Digital Lightening Processor(DLP) using the Linear Quadratic Regulator(LQR). Generally, The speed of BLDCM in DLP is controlled by the lead angle control or the input voltage control using PAM(Pulse Amplitude Modulation) etc. These control methods have speed overshoot in speed control and need the long time until BLDCM reaches at the steady state. In order to improve the performance, this paper present the PI speed controller using the LQR based on vector control and the rotor position detection methods at the space vector PWM inverter. The proposed methods are proved by the experimental results

  • In this paper we proposed transient model for NPT(Non Punch-Through) IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) with gate resistances. As gate resistance increases, turn-off time increases. But If gate resistance is small, overshoot voltage increase. To analyze the effect of gate resistance, the transient model is made and the experiments are conducted. We used gate resistances of values; 8[$\Omega$], 140[$\Omega$], 810[$\Omega$] for simulations and experiments. We compared theoretical and experimental results and obtained good agreements.

  • This study proposes a control method to mitigate the influence of input capacitors in photovoltaic power curtailment. The influence is analyzed by the power flow in the photovoltaic system. In conventional power curtailment, the power injected to the grid may be increased momentarily because the influence of the input capacitor on the power injected to the grid is not considered. The proposed method limits the change rate of photovoltaic array voltage to prevent a momentary increase in the power injected to the grid. The effectiveness of proposed method, which reduces power overshoot, is verified by experimental tests. The proposed method enables the power grid to operate stably in photovoltaic power curtailment.

  • An improved predictive current control technique for a zero current switched(ZCS) buck-boost series resonant inverter(SRI) is proposed to overcome the inherent disadvantages such as the uncontrollable large overshoot and the large current ripple. Using the proposed technique, four quadrant operations of the output voltage and current for an uninterrutible power supply(URS) application are guaranteed and the buck-boost operation can also be obtained without an additional bidirectional switch.

  • 본 논문에서는 UPS용 인버터의 강인한 디지털제어를 위하여 인버터 출력측 LC필터의 커패시터 전압과 전류의 2중 제어루프로 구성된 새로운 제어기법을 제안한다. 제안된 전압·전류의 2중 제어루프는 전압 제어루프의 커패시터 전압을 전류 제어루프의 커패시터 전류의 위상중심으로 두고, 2중 데드비트 제어를 수행함으로써 커패시터 전류의 위상지연이 보상된 완전한 진상전류 제어가 가능하게 된다. 전류 제어루프는 디지털 제어기의 시간 지연요소를 시스템의 고유한 파라미터로 가정한 2차 데드비트 제어기로 설계하여 디지털 제어기의 고유한 연산 지연시간에 의한 성능저하를 개선한다. 또한, 외란에 의한 데드비트 제어의 영향을 제거하기 위하여 부하전류 예측기법을 전류 제어루프에 부가하여 외란을 피드포워드 보상함으로써 외란에 강인한 전류제어를 수행한다.

동방결절에서 Ouabain에 의하여 발생하는 일과성 내향전류(TI)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ouabain-induced Transient Inward Current(TI) in the Rabbit Sinoatrial Node)

  • Transient inward current (TI) was studied by the two micro-electrode voltage clamp technique in the sinoatrial node of the rabbit. The author confirmed that in $10^{-6}$ M ouabain TI was found in the SA node and investigated the effects of ions, $(Na^+,\;K^+,\;Ca^{2+})$, $\beta-agonist$ (isoprenaline), local anesthetics (quinidine, lidocaine) and Ca-blockers ($Co^{2+}$, verapamil, diltiazem) on the TI recorded during depolarizing voltage clamp pulses to -40 and -20 mV. The results obtained were as follows ; 1) $10^{-6}M$ ouabain increased the frequency of sinus action potential and decreased the amplitude, especially overshoot of action potential. TI was induced by the depolarizing voltage clamp Pulses and the magnitude of the slow inward current (isi) decreased and the time course was slowed by the same depolarizing pulses. 2) 30% $Na^{+}$ and 24mM $K^+$ decreased by $10^{-6}M$ ouabain and 6 mM $Ca^{2+}$ and $10^{-7}M$ isoprenaline increased TI, $i_{si}$ and current oscillations. 3) Quinidine $(5\times10^{-7}M)$ reduced TI and $i_{si}$ but lidocaine $(10^6\;-10^5M)$ didn't reduced or increase TI. Current oscillations increased and isi decreased by lidocaine. 4) Ca-blockers decreased the amplitude and the frequency of sinus action potential. TI and $i_{si}$ decreased significantly but were not abolished completely at the concentrations used in this experiment. Verapamil and diltiazem had inhibitory action on TI in $2\times10^{-7}M$ concentration and showed very slow recovery after wasting out with normal Tyrode solution.
