A Study on Measures to Improve the Production and Service of Records of Presidential Overseas Trips: Focusing on "Records Collection" of the Presidential Archives Website (대통령 해외순방 기록의 생산과 서비스 개선방안 연구 대통령기록관 웹사이트 '기록컬렉션'을 중심으로)

  • Since presidential overseas trips are carried out as the head of state representing the Republic of Korea, the resulting records of such trips have high academic and historical significance and value both in contemporary times and for future generations. This study analyzes the status of production and service of overseas trip records, focusing on whether the records of the president's overseas trips are being produced properly and provided sufficiently to the public, and examines development plans for improvement. Currently, as a result of examining a total of 282 overseas trips provided by the Presidential Archives website, it is difficult for users to understand which records are being produced for even the basic records regarding the trips are not posted. In addition, the website is provider-centered, making users feel alienated rather than being considered in terms of search and provided records. In this study, for the production of high-quality overseas travel records, the "Presidential Overseas Trip Records Production Guidelines" established during the 'Participatory Government' will be supplemented, improved and applied. This archive policy will not be subject to any external variables, including changes in the government, and is suggested that it be consistent and unaffected. In addition, in order to improve the service provided, the following is proposed: first, provision of 'comprehensive information' that allows users to understand the overall context of the trip; second, use of the "file-record" layer and hyperlink function; third, a system that allows the stages of production and service of overseas trip records to be interconnected. In order to carry out these tasks, it would be essential to establish and operate an organization dedicated to records, such as the Secretariat of Archives and Records Management during the 'Participatory Government' period.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how college students overseas field trip group's social network exist, how the network change during the travel period, and how they are related to trip satisfaction, school involvement and peer relations. College students have an unprecedented school adaptation problem, which is questioning college education practices and measure should be taken. Since travel provides a strong bond with the group of participants, in a similar vein, students' overseas trips are also assumed to strengthen solidarity of students. For 31 trip participants, survey was administered to find out the existence of a distinctive network structure, its changes, and its impact on related variables. First, the network structure of the field trip existed explicitly, in which student representatives held their position in degree centrality. Second, network structure has changed before and after the trip, which is due to the social interaction between participants. Third, the effect on trip performance variables was marginal, even if some participants move to centrality. Forth, field trip satisfaction, school involvement, and peer relations were significant correlated. At the end of the paper, the implications and limitations of the study were included.

  • The automatic seismic trip system (ASTS) continuously monitors PGA (peak ground acceleration) from the seismic wave, and automatically generates a trip signal. This work presents how the system can be designed by using a systems engineering approach under the given regulatory criteria. Overall design stages, from the needs analysis to design verification, have been executed under the defined processes and activities. Moreover, this work contributes two significant design areas for digitalized ASTS. These are firstly, how to categorize the ASTS if the ASTS has a backed up function of the manual reactor trip, and secondly, how to set the requirements using the given design practices either in overseas ASTS design or similar design. In addition, the methodology for determining the setpoint can be applied to the I&C design and development project which needs to justify the error sources correctly. The systematic approach that has been developed and realized in this work can be utilized in designing new I&C (instrument and control system) as well.

  • The engineering competitiveness of domestic construction companies is 70$\sim$80% of advanced countries. And Korean' companies fall behind China and South-East Asia in a competitive price. Recently, there are increased the amount of overseas order received in Korean construction companies. But, there is not enough the supporting policy of government. Therefore, this research compared and analyzed the competitiveness of domestic construction companies throughout benchmarking support system of overseas construction in advanced companies. Such research was obtained through business trip & consultation with related specialists for the difficulties of domestic companies in advancing into overseas market. This research provided governmental plans to advance into overseas market. First, this research provided assurance system and connected plan of ODA(Official Development Assistant) in construction. Second, this research suggested the improvement of overseas marketing survey and overseas construction marketing center. Third, this research provided the support system of bidding information and the training system of professionals.

However, the life of the human being shall be extended. become the older society and the population shall increase. stronger earth-quake and the typhoon shall occur more frequently due to global warming. I think that it will be anational concern that we perceive the age-quake approaches in the close of hand which is more terrible than the earth-quake, and prepare on it.

  • The emergency diesel generator (EDG) in a nuclear power plant (NPP) shall start within 10 secondss and supply electrical power to engineered safety features within one minute and less if a loss of offsite power (LOOP), A design-basis event, or their combination occur. Each NPP has an EDG set consisting of two diesel generators for redundancy. In addition to the EDG set, an alternate Alternating Current Diesel Generator (AAC DG) is installed and shared by several units to cope with a station black out (SBO), i.e., loss of the offsite power concurrent with reactor trip and unavailability of the EDG set. The objective of this study is to analyze the failure data of emergency diesel generators reported in overseas nuclear power plants.

  • The construction engineering field is less than $3\~5\%$ of the gross construction cost but engineering's role is very important because the performance of final facility is decided in the engineering stage. Nevertheless, before now government and private compares are more concentrated on construction works than making strategy to strengthen the competitiveness and technical development of investment in construction engineering sectors. Therefore this research have compared and analyzed the competitiveness of domestic construction engineering companies throughout analytic method 'SWOT' to those developing countries, which are potential big market objects, such as Russia Libya and Indonesia Such research was obtained through business trip & consultation with related specialists for the difficulties of domestic companies in advancing into overseas market.   • The passport is not only an officially proven document in order to identify the nationalities of travelers, but also request for protections of travelers. Since the overseas trips have been increased, the uses of forged or modulated passports are also now rapidly increasing. The forged or modulated passports are mainly used by international criminal organization or offenders, who are restricted by immigration control, in order to avoid under the radar and conceal their identities. The purpose of biometric authentication technology is to define one's unique identities through the comparative analysis one's unique finger prints, iris, sweat gland, blood vessel, palm pattern, vein distribution, voice, and etc. We have been studying about applicable and possibilities of the biometric authentication technology for overseas travel without passports. In hence, we have been also collected various of technical references of using biometric authentication, and have been analyzed what is the best biometric to be alternatively used instead of passports.
