  • Generally the control method of wire feeding motor in welding machine has been used full-wave phase control method. The fire-angle control generates low frequency speed ripple, and it causes the output current ripple. So it results in the variation of welding condition and low welding performances such as spatter generation and bead state. For the purpose of welding performances improvement by speed controller in wire feeding motor, in this paper the constant speed control method for welding machine is proposed. The proposed system is composed of speed control loop and current control loop. As a result of experiment by using proposed constant wire feed experiment by using proposed constant wire feed speed controller, the output voltage and current waveform and metal transfer are maintained stably. And moreover the number of instantaneous short circuit occurrence is reduced remarkably.

  • The main purpose of the UPS is to supply independent and stable power to connected equipment. In installing and operating the UPS system, songle module, three phase UPS in more benefit than multi module, songle phase UPS in the point of volume and cost. However, when supplying Rectifier with output power form three phase UPS, by connecting auto-transformer, occurred harmonic and ripple current makes output filter damaged and leads to nonlinear current coasted by unbalance load. Therefor, in this paper the aim of concentring compound-wound transformer and harmonic filter is supplying liner current by reducing harmonic and ripple current and improving unbalance in voltage and distortion in current wave.

  • This paper deals with the parallel operation of inverters. To enlarge capacity of inverter system and reduce current ripples on inverter output side, two or more inverters are operated in parallel. Up to now six-step inverters and sinusoidal PWM inverters are considered in parallel operation, but using space-vector PWM inverters we can get many advantages of reducing ripple current energy and torque ripple and so on. As we can choose effective voltage vectors more freely than single operation, inverter output current ripples can be reduced by shifting beginning and end point of switching state back and forth.

  • In this paper, two different plusewidth modulation(PWM) for inverter and voltage control technique are described. Inverter output harmonics are harmful in induction motor drive because it lead to ripple torque and induction interference. In order to reduce or minimize losses, various forms of PWM strategy such as PM(Positive Modulation) and NM(Negative Modulation) are discussed.

  • The conventional types of X-ray generators were bulky in physical size and heavy in weight and the control accuracies of the output voltages were not always satisfacotry. The high frequency switching inverter and converter technology on power conversion and control systems have been greatly closed up introducing power semiconducot devices. To decreasing the volume and the weight of high voltage transformer and to stabilize ripple. In this paper the newly developed x-ray generator in a low cost using duty modulation PWM inverter. This system verify improved performance by stabilize ripple of X-ray tube voltage and compared the reproducibility linearity and dose in single phase three phase and PSU.

  • This paper proposes a novel compensation algorithm of current offset error for single-phase linear compressor in home appliances. In a half-bridge inverter, current offset error may cause unbalanced DC-link voltage when the DC-link is comprised of two serially connected capacitors. To compensate the current measurement error, the synchronous reference frame transformation is used for detecting the measurement error. When an offset error occurs in the output current of the half-bridge inverter, the d-axis current has a ripple with frequency equal to the fundamental frequency. With the use of a proportional-resonant controller, the ripple component can be removed, and offset error can be compensated. The proposed compensation method can easily be implemented without much computation and additional hardware circuit. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified through experimental results.

  • In this paper, control schemes are proposed for a propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) of the TTX(Tilting Train express). In developed traction converter, unity power factor control, compensation method of dc link voltage have been applied. Output current of converter contains harmonics ripple at twice input ac line frequency, which causes a ripple in the dc link voltage so that control scheme is developed in inverter system to reduce the pulsating torque current. At low speed region, vector control scheme is applied and slip frequency control is adopted at high speed region. The performance of propulsion system will be verified by simulation and prototype experimental results.

  • Generally, fuel cell has characteristics of low voltage, large current and voltage variation under load change. Therefore, DC output voltage of fuel cell is too low to convert into AC with high efficiency and good performance. For this reason, fuel cell generating system is composed of DC-DC converter and inverter in cascade. This paper used 2-phase boost DC-DC converter to obtain low distortion waveform and reduce input-output current ripple, and discussed inverter which can be operated in independent drive mode and utility line interface drive mode. Then, the change of modes can be achived smoothly.

  • This paper proposes a DC-DC Buck-Converter with DT-CMOS (Dynamic Threshold-voltage MOSFET) Switch. The proposed circuit was evaluated and compared with a CMOS switch by both the circuit and device simulations. The DT-CMOS switch reduced the output ripple and the conduction loss through a low on-resistance. Overall, the proposed circuit showed excellent performance efficiency compared to the converter with conventional CMOS switch. The proposed circuit has switching frequency of 1.2MHz, 3.3V input voltage, 2.5V output voltage, and maximum current of 100mA. In addition, this paper proposes a SCP (Short Circuit Protection) circuit to ensure reliability.

  • A new phase shift full bridge converter(PSFB) with serially connected two transformers is proposed. It is well suited for applications in the communication equipment of a few hundred watts. The main features of the proposed converter are a wide input voltage range, an easiness to meet the requirement for zero voltage switching (ZVS) condition at a light load, and a small output voltage ripple. Furthermore, it features high power density since serially connected two transformers can replace both a main transformer and an output inductor. A mode analysis and experimental results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed converter.
