The purpose of this study is standardization of herbology terminology. For a long time, it was important problem that the Oriental Medicine didn't have standardization of terminology. For this reason, development of oriental medicine has been slow. We studied how we search methods of herb efficacy by the use of terminology table. In this way, we will suggest basic data and helpful methods of standardization of Oriental Medicine terminology.

Objectives : I report 12 cases of strabismus presented at [Oriental Medical Clinic of Kim Joong-Ho and Strabismus - Amblyopia Clinic, East-West Neo Medical Center, Kyung Hee University] from 2nd March 2006 to 29th February 2008. All have experienced good improvement of strabismus by treatment with Oriental medicine. Methods : Patients were treated with acupuncture, infra-red and herb medicine. The acupuncture points of (B2) 絲竹空(TE23) 承泣(S1) 陽白(G14) 太陽(E36) were mainly used. Herb medicines prescribed were Gagamseunggal-tang and Gamiboik-tang. Results : 9 cases of strabismus were caused by paralysis of the sixth cranial nerve and the third cranial nerve, while 3 cases happened with concomitant strabismus of esotropia and exotropia. They were treated to recover paralytic muscles and unelastic muscles around the eyes and face. Treatment took between 1 and 8 months. Conclusions : In the results of this study, treatment was effective to correct position at the eyeball. I report it is possible to treat strabismus successfully with Oriental medicine in a shorter time compared to western medicine.

Objectives: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric disorder, characterized by the primary symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactivity and impulsivity. The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical efficiency of the oriental medical therapy combined with art therapy in the treatment of ADHD. Methods: This study is clinical reports of 3 patients with ADHD who are being treated with the oriental medical therapy (Herb-med, acupuncture) and art therapy. K-ARS (Korean ADHD Rating Scale) was compared before and after 1 month of treatment. Results: The Oriental medical therapy including herb-med and acupuncture is effective in improving ADHD patients. Also, art therapy is effective in decreasing patients' anxiety and tension and helpful for patients themselves to make an objective observation. Therefore, it is practically useful in the treatment of ADHD. Conclusions: The results show the oriental medical therapy in combination with art therapy is effective in the treatment of ADHD.

Objectives : Oriental medicine has set the no herb medicamentous dose for child, on the other hand the western medicine has it standardizing of age, weight or dimension of body. Therefore, we aimed to research the herb medicamentous dose for child being in being used in clinic. Methods : We made up a question of the oriental medical doctors of the master's and doctor's course in ○○ university. Results : 1. Child dose of herb medicine a time likes this. 1 pack is written prescription most at children patients under 1 year. 1 pack and 2 packs are written prescription most at children patients over 1 under 2. 2 packs are written prescription most at children patients over 2 under 3. 4 packs are written prescription most at children patients over 3 under 4. 10 packs are written prescription most at children patients over 8 under 14. Dose of herb medicine written prescription at children patients over 5 under 8 is in decentralization from 2 to 10 packs. 2. 2 or 3 times are most in a number of taking medicine a day. 3. 3 days are common in period of taking medicine under 5, over 10 days are common over 5. 4. It is necessary to regulating child dose of herb medicine.

오늘날 웰니스 시대를 맞이하면서 한약재 시장에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 구기자 한약재를 대상으로 유통경로상에서 한약재 도매상과 한의원간의 관계특성, 만족 및 협력관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 조사방법은 설문지를 이용한 기술조사방법에 해당되며, 119부를 통계분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 한약재 도매상에 대한 한의원의 관계특성(관계주의, 신뢰, 보상력, 의존)은 만족에 정(+)의 영향관계에 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 한약재 도매상에 대한 한의원의 만족은 협력에 정(+)의 영향관계로 나타났다. 셋째, 만족이 관계특성과 협력 간에 있어서 매개효과 분석 결과는 관계주의와 보상력만 지지되어 부분적으로 채택되었다. 협력연구의 차별적 의의는 부존자원이 빈약한 우리나라에서 탐색비용, 기회주의, 불확실성의 감소 등 내부적 관리비용의 절감을 낳을 수 있는 경영관리적 가치를 지닌다.

Background : Recently the demand was increasing on the data describing treatment rates and the outcome of Androgenetic Alopecia using Oriental Medicine. Thus this study was designed to observe androgenetic Alopecia treatment using Oriental Medicine including acupuncture and herb because there has been no such statistics. Objectives : Our purpose was determine whether oriental medicine treatment leads to clinical improvement in men with androgenetic alopecia. Methods : Eighty two Men, 17 to 53 years of age, with male pattern hair loss according to a modified Norwood/Hamilton classification scale(II to VI) were enrolled in this study. Patients were treated with multidisciplinary Korean oriental medicine treatment (herbal acupuncture, acupuncture, herb, chuna therapy) at twice a week for 6 months to 12 months. Efficacy was evaluated by patient and investigator assessment, and global photographic review. Results : Oriental medicine treatment improved scalp hair by all evaluation. Patient self assessment demonstrated that Oriental medicine treatment slowed hair loss, increased hair growth, and improvement appearance of hair. These improvements were corroborated by investigator assessments and assessments of photographs. Conclusion : Oriental medicine treatment has significant effects on the androgenetic alopecia. Longer follow up studies are needed to examine whether its effects last long enough for the patients with androgenetic alopecia.

The latest trend of our medical industry seems to have a raise on more expectation and interest in mystical therapeutics of herb medicine and its efficiency especially for the disease such as chronicity and other obstinacy that used to be impossibie to be cured with only Western medical treatment. potentiality of ideal medical treatment through interchanging of medical study between Eastern and Western is becoming an issue today. Herb medicine is our native ethnic medicine and is based on the friendly-nature and human oriented under one of the classification of natural medicine. The point of this medicine has a strong connection with the conceptional trait of Health-Care that is been newly paid a lot of attention in Western medical science. This 'Y'Oriental Medical Clinic Interior Design is to grant a new possibility of global recognition of herb medicine getting over from a limited ethnic medicine by correcting the existing problems and expanding its scope to a part of natural medicine and to newly establish its meaning as a space for Health-Care utilizing a concept of nature.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to determine clinical efficacy of herbal medicine by evaluating SCORAD Index and total level of ceramaides in the skin of 13 children with atopic dermatitis Methods : Subjects are divided into two groups : Group 1(non-differentiation children treated with Saenghyeoryunbueom) and group 2(differentiation children treated with either pyungwisan, onchungum or gamitongsungsan). We determine SCORAD Index and total level of ceramaides in the skin of 13 children with atopic dermatitis before and after taking each of herbal treatment for 12 weeks. Results : After herbal prescription for 12 weeks, A SCORAD index of both group 1 and group 2 was decreased. However, the total level of ceramides in group 1 and group 2 was not altered after 12 weeks. When the correlation between the alteration of SCORAD index and ceramides levels was determined, the SCORAD index in group 1 was inversely correlated with the total level of ceramides(r=-0.994, p=0.006) In contrast, the alteration of SCORAD index in group 2 was not correlated with ceramide levels. Conclusions : The clinical efficacy of Saenghyeoryunbueom for non-differentiation children with atopic dermatitis is paralleled with the increased level of ceramides in skin. The clinical efficacy of pyungwisan, onchungum or gamitongsungsan for differentiation children with atopic dermatitis is not correlated with ceramide level in skin.

Objectives : The purpose of this clinical study is to investigate effectiveness of oriental medical treatment for sinusitis in the two overweight children. Methods : This study was performed for two 5-years old of age and overweight (BMI>90th percentile) children with sinusitis who visited the clinic. The symptoms of sinusitis are rhinorrhea, poor sleep due to nasal congestion, cough, sputum. Oriental herb medicines(Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang and Kami-Cheonggeumganghwatang), moxibustion, nebulizer and aroma nasal spray were treated to two children. The progress of treatment for sinusitis was evaluated through the subjective symptoms and endoscope inspection. Results & Conclusions : After oriental medical treatment, the subjective symptoms and endoscope inspection were improved in all two children. Our results suggested that oriental medical treatment have effective to alleviate the symptoms of sinusitis in overweight children.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of Korean medical treatments on Anal diseases and skin disorder around anal. Methods : Based on KCI, OASIS, NDSL, KISS with the keyword 'Anal', 'Hemorrhoid', 'Ani', 'Anal fistula', 'incontinence', 'anal prolapse', 'anal fissure'. published in 2000-2018.11.10., total 9 studies have been found and analyzed. Results : Among 9 studies, 15 cases were selected. Acupuncture, herb medicine, phamacopuncture, moxibustion, fumigation therapy and habit correction were used as treatment for Anal disease. All of research which selected have reported that the Korean medical treatment was effective. Conclusions : According to the results, Korean medical treatments can be effective treatment for anal diseases. Based of this result, studies which is multifocal will be needed steadily.
