  • There is a wide variety of data quality attributes such as the ones proposed by the ISO/IEC organization and also by many other domestic and international institutions. However, it takes considerable time and costs to apply those criteria and guidelines to real environment. Therefore, it needs to define data quality evaluation attributes which are easily applicable and are not influenced by organizational environment limitations. The purpose of this paper is to derive data quality attributes and order of their priorities based on customer requirements for managing the process systematically and evaluating the data quantitatively. This study identifies the customer cognitive constructs of data quality attributes using the RGT(Repertory Grid Technique) based on a Korean quality standard model (DQC-M). Also the correlation analysis on the identified constructs is conducted, and the evaluation attributes is prioritized and ranked using the AHP. As the results of this paper, the consistent system, the accurate data, the efficient environment, the flexible management, and the continuous improvement are derived at the first level of the data quality evaluation attributes. Also, Control Compliance(13%), Regulatory Compliance(10%), Requirement Completeness(9.6%), Accuracy(8.4%), and Traceability(6.8%) are ranked on the top 5 of the 19 attributes in the second level.

  • Construction management performs a variety of tasks, and the buildup of the WBS and OBS is one of the core tasks. However, the practical utilization of WBS and OBS is low in the current construction management work. In this study, we conducted a survey of related experts to analyze the understanding, utilization level, application effect, and connectivity of WBS and OBS. As a result, it was identify that the standardization and linkage of WBS and OBS should be secured so that the construction manager (CMr) could apply it. Therefore, we extracted management control factors through expert in-depth interviews and workshops and conducted AHP importance analysis. Analysis results of importance shows that there is a high importance of strengthening the link between WBS and OBS and updating OBS due to changes in WBS. The results presented are not direct solutions, but are expected to provide a standard for construction managers to consider.

  • Protein phosphorylation at tyrosine residues is a key regulatory event that modulates insulin signal transduction. We studied the PTPN1 gene with regard to susceptibility to Korean type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and its related quantitative traits. A total of seven SNPs [g.36171G>A (rs941798), g.58166G>A (rs3787343), g.58208A>G (rs2909270), g.64840C>T (rs754118), g.69560C>G (rs6020612), g.69866G>A (rs718050), and g.69934T>G (rs3787343)] were selected based on frequency (>0.05), linkage disequilibrium (LD) status, and haplotype tagging status. We studied the seven SNPs in 483 unrelated patients with type 2 diabetes (age: $64{\pm}2.8$ years, onset age: $56{\pm}8.1$ years; 206 men, 277 women) and 1138 nondiabetic control subjects (age: $64{\pm}2.9$; 516 men, 622 women). The SNP rs941798 had protective effects against T2DM with an odds ratio of 0.726 (C.I. $0.541{\sim}0.975$) and p-value=0.034, but none of the remaining six SNPs was associated with T2DM. Also, rs941798 was associated with blood pressure, HDL cholesterol, insulin sensitivity. rs941798 also has been associated with T2DM in previous reports of Caucasian-American and Hispanic-American populations. This is the first report that shows an association between PTPN1 and T2DM in the Korean as well as Asian population.

  • Sunflower, selected as a trap plant that can be controlled by attracting Ricania spp. adults via attraction has the highest attractiveness during the preoviposition period. Considering the ecological characteristics of Ricania spp., adults are distinguished by the preoviposition and oviposition periods and the attractiveness of sunflower to Ricania spp. adults was 91.4~95.2% higher than that of blueberry during the preoviposition period. On August 20, when Ricania spp. adults entered the oviposition season, sunflower attractiveness was low at 9.8~11.6% owing to preference for tree species. Based on the result of the selection of systemic chemicals that could be used concomitantly with sunflower, all chemicals, except etofenprox, showed a high controlling effect of over 90%, and among them, dinotefuran showed the highest insecticidal rate of 95.8%. The systemic chemicals acetamiprid, dinotefuran, thiamethoxam, and imidacloprid persisted for 13 days (survey period). Therefore, the concomitant use of sunflower and systemic chemicals can reduce the density of Ricania spp. entering farmlands and their populations in surrounding habitats, which are expected to help in stabilizing the ecosystem.

  • Science and technologies develop rapidly and in conditions where it is difficult to predict both domestically and abroad, the rapidly changing business environment demands innovation. To strengthen the businesses' competitive edge, the key challenge is not to control but rather grant autonomy, allowing it to anticipate the future and actively deal with. This will allow to train and manage talented people with competence and abilities, which all links to the concept of the Super Leadership. Currently, our society is in the change due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution wave and paradigm related with high-tech industry, hence is in desperate need for creativeness and speed management. It is a time where risk and challenges coexist and is not a standardized environment. Businesses must make efforts in managing human resources and allow them to have leaderships compatible with the current era, giving them opportunities to face challenges. The necessity for Super Leadership is emphasized especially in the industry-orientated era, where new revolutionary technologies are emerging and existing technologies are being advanced and maximized, to cultivate the potentials of the members and secure competitive superiority for the best management and creation. Therefore, in this research, the empirical analysis of the relationship between Super Leadership of small and medium enterprises and the business outcome was conducted. Research outcome states that, in order to create a sustainable business outcome, enterprises need to invest more in developing leaderships and in accordance with it, promote talent. In order to survive and sustain growth in the period of endless competition like today, it is concluded that it is imperative to establish a powerful Super Leadership that will endeavor to engage and maximize the competence of members of the organization.

  • This study is to develop digital leadership in a field of national defense. Today, korean society is facing the crisis of national security. But national defense leadership is not show in the circumstance of national security crisis. As you know, national defense leadership is a process that make use of influence. Which means it converges people's interest and demands well and also show people the right vision of national defense and make them to comply the policy about national security. Because of the environmental change, our national defense leadership is having a new turning point. First, international order, which is under post-cold war, raises possibility of guarantee of peace and security in international society but also, cause the increase of multiple uncertainty and small size troubles in security circumstance. In addition, Korean society is rushing into democratization and localization period by success in peaceful change of political power went through about three times. The issue of political neutralization of military is stepping into settlement but still, negative inheritance of old military regime is worrying about it. In this situation, we can't expect rise in estimation about the importance of security and military's reason for being. So, military have to give their concern to not only internal maintenance of order and control and growth of soldiers but also developing external leadership to strength influence to society and military's the reason for being. So for these alternative I'm suggesting a digital leadership of national defense which fits digital era. This digital leadership is the leadership which can accept and understand digital technology and lead the digital organization. To construct digital national defense we need a practical leadership. The leadership has to be digital leadership with digital competence that can direct vision of digital national defense and carry out the policy. A leader who ha s digital leadership can lead the digital society. The ultimate key to construct digital government, digital corporate and digital citizen depends on digital leader with digital mind. To be more specific, digital leadership has network leadership, next generation leadership, knowledge driven management leadership, innovation oriented leadership. A leader with this kind of leadership is the real person with digital leadership. From now on, to rise this, we have to build up human resource development strategy and develop educational training program.

  • This study investigated a mechanism of naming a disease, as examining how obesity attain a status of disease. WHO(World Health Organization) warned 'The obesity is definitely a disease to need medical treatment' in 1996 and 1997. However, before then, obesity was classified as unusual or nonstandard body status but it was not categorized as a disease. In order to examine a mechanism how obesity attain the status of disease, this study examined the historical process of construction to obesity in discourse of disease and ontological reality of pathological epidemiological to obesity. As a result of this research, it was found that the medical community manipulated BMI(Body Mass Index) and deliberately narrowed the range of person's normal weight, and institutionalized sizism. Especially, it was found that as the medical community associated the body state of obesity with high blood pressure, diabetes, and etc that causes burden of medical expenses to patients, that was fatphobia. And it tried to from a medical control mechanism to assign obesity to an independent status of a disease. Based on this examination, this study found an entailment: the noninfectious disease such as obesity attains the status of disease not because of the pathologic reason but because of cultural or socio-economical reason which han nothing to do with any medical source.

  • There were three banks that had the head office in Busan since 1912, Gyong-Nam Bank, Dong-Rae Bank and Busan Commercial Bank. This article tries to catch hold of the characteristics of the establishment and management, and the merging process of three banks. The main stockholders and managers made use of the money of the banks for the enterprises that they operated. Gyong-Nam Bank was combined with Dae-Gu Bank in 1928 to be Dae-Gu Commercial & Industrial Bank. The revised bank ordinance of 1928 regulated that the head office banks had to meet the requirement of the paid-in capital, 2 million yen. Not meeting such an excessive requirement, Dong-Rae Bank was amalgamated to Ho-Nam Bank of Gwang-Ju in 1933. Busan Commercial Bank was absorbed in Cho-Sun Commercial Bank in 1935 because it couldn't get back huge loan from a company which belonged to its three main stockholders. Japanese were already the main stockholders of Cho-Sun Commercial Bank from the beginning of 1920s. The banking agencies were not able to deal with the economic fluctuations effectively, and didn't have any economic organization in support of their profit. Cho-Sun Government-General forced the head office banks to be merged to control the colonial economy.

  • The International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the International Convention on the Control of Ships' Air Pollutants and Discharge as it became interested in environmental issues such as global warming and air pollution. In addition, a special bill on the improvement of air quality, including in port areas, has recently been enacted in Korea to reduce the amount of fine dust generated. As part of such fine dust reduction measures, feasibility studies have been underway on converting diesel engines into battery electric propulsion systems that do not cause fine dust and emissions. Since the battery electric propulsion system can easily utilize renewable energy sources, and does not generate exhaust gas due to combustion of fuel, small coastal ferries with battery electric propulsion systems that use renewable energy have been operating in Europe and the U.S. for several years. However, they have not been introduced in Korea. Therefore, in this study, we selected small coastal ferries in Korea as target ferries, and performed simulations to study the applicability of electric propulsion with batteries linked to solar power systems. Based on the results, we want to confirm the applicability of battery electric propulsion.
