돈분 슬러리의 저장형태 및 온도에 따른 가용화 특성 (Solubilization Characteristics of Piggery Slurry by Different Storage type and Temperature Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 돈분 슬러리의 저장형태 및 온도에 따른 유기물의 거동을 관찰하였는데, closed system과 open system의 저장형태에 따른 유기물 농도는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 30일 저장 후 약 2배 정도의 차이를 보였다. 또한 온도에 의한 유기물 농도의 거동은 온도가 증가할수록 TS 및 VS 농도가 감소하였고, $20^{\circ}C$ 약 23%, $35^{\circ}C$ 약 29% 정도가 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 하절기 외부온도 특성을 반영한 온도조건(20, $35^{\circ}C$) 및 저장기간 따른 생성된 유기산 종류는 비슷하였고, 저장기간 15일 이후부터 분변내 포함된 가수분해 및 산생성 미생물의 성장이 증대되어 유기산의 생성이 증가하였다. 반응시간 30일 후 생성된 총유기산 농도는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 $2,829\;mg{\cdot}COD/L$이었으며, $30^{\circ}C$에서는 $9,123\;mg{\cdot}COD/L^{\circ}C$로 초기 유기물농도 대비 각각 5.4, 17.4%의 유기산 전환율을 나타내었다. 따라서 돈분슬러리의 저장기간이 길어질수록 외부온도에 따라 가수분해 및 산생성 반응으로 유기산이 생성되고, 메탄생성균의 기질이용으로 유기물의 손실이 발생하여 온실가스 배출도 증가할 것으로 예상된다.

경유차 적용 디젤산화촉매장치의 성능 변화 분석 (An Investigation of Performance Change of Diesel Oxidation Catalyst for Diesel Vehicle)

  • This paper is to investigated the analysis of performance characteristics of diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) for diesel vehicle with 2.5L piston displacement. The performance evaluation test of DOC applied to test diesel vehicle was carried out for four kinds of DOCs manufactured from different company. The testing DOCs were randomly selected from the retrofit vehicle and then standard test vehicle that was representative for the application group was equipped with DOC for the test. In this verification test, the reduction rate of particulate matter (P.M.) and the deviation of the performance of the DOC were examined through CVS-75 mode of the standard vehicle and SOF reduction rate of specific DOC was investigated. It was found that some DOCs failed to pass the criteria of the P.M. reduction rate because of the reason seen catalyst aging even if they were same devices. In the result of SOF analysis, the specific DOC showed more PM reduction than SOF of PM. reduction exceptionally.

실시간 토양 유기물 센서와 DGPS를 이용한 질소 시비량 지도 작성 시스템 개발 (Development of Electronic Mapping System for N-fertilizer Dosage Using Real-time Soil Organic Matter Sensor)

  • It is crucial to know spatial soil variability for precision farming. However, it is time-consuming, and difficult to measure spatial soil properties. Therefore, there are needs fur sensing technology to estimate spatial soil variability, and for electronic mapping technology to store, manipulate and process the sampled data. This research was conducted to develop a real-time soil organic matter sensor and an electronic mapping system. A soil organic matter sensor was developed with a spectrophotometer in the 900∼1,700 nm range. It was designed in a penetrator type to measure reflectance of soil at 15cm depth. The signal was calibrated with organic matter content (OMC) of the soil which was sampled in the field. The OMC was measured by the Walkeley-Black method. The soil OMCs were ranged from 0.07 to 7.96%. Statistical partial least square and principle component regression analyses were used as calibration methods. Coefficient of determination, standard error prediction and bias were 0.85 0.72 and -0.13, respectively. The electronic mapping system was consisted of the soil OMC sensor, a DGPS, a database and a makeshift vehicle. An algorithm was developed to acquire data on sampling position and its OMC and to store the data in the database. Fifty samples in fields were taken to make an N-fertilizer dosage map. Mean absolute error of these data was 0.59. The Kring method was used to interpolate data between sampling nodes. The interpolated data was used to make a soil OMC map. Also an N-fertilizer dosage map was drawn using the soil OMC map. The N-fertilizer dosage was determined by the fertilizing equation recommended by National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology in Korea. Use of the N-fertilizer dosage map would increase precision fertilization up to 91% compared with conventional fertilization. Therefore, the developed electronic mapping system was feasible to not only precision determination of N-fertilizer dosage, but also reduction of environmental pollution.

UF를 이용한 용존성 유기물질 제거시 운전조건이 파울링에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Operating Conditions on the Fouling of UF Membrane in Treatment of Dissolved Organic Matter)

  • UF를 이용한 용존성 유기물질 제거시 파울링을 저감할 수 있는 운전인자를 알아보기 위하여 pilot plant 규모의 중공사형 UF막을 다양한 실험조건에서 운전하였다. 연구결과 유입압력이 높으면 막표면에 생성된 케익의 압밀화화 흡착이 증대되어 막간차압의 증가폭과 투과플럭스 감소폭이 커졌다. 역세효과는 역세압을 높여서 유효압을 증가시키거나 역세빈도를 짧게 할수록 좋았다. 유효압이 증가할수록 역세후 막표면의 오염물질이 감소하고 역세빈도가 짧을수록 재순환수의 오염물질농도가 감소하기 때문이다. 파울링과 상관성이 높은 운전인자는 역세압, 유입압력, 회수율, 누적투과플럭스, 투과플럭스였다. 이 중 역세압력이 파울링과 가장 밀접한 관계가 있었고 유입압력이 두 번째로 상관성이 높았다. 이것으로 보아 막표면의 케익층 압밀화와 흡착의 원인이 되는 압력이 파울링과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 생각된다.

응집과 막여과 공정에서 응집제에 따른 유기물 및 THMFP제거 (Removal of natural organic matter and trihalomethane formation potential by four different coagulants during coagulation-microfiltration processes)

  • Integrated process with coagulation and microfiltration as an advanced water treatment has been expanded its application in recent years due to its superb removal of particles and natural organic matter. In usual, effectiveness of coagulation sometimes determines performance of the whole system. Several new polymeric coagulants introduced to water utilities for better efficiency were studied in this paper. Three polymeric coagulants (i.e., PACl, PACs, and PAHCs) along with alum were evaluated for removal of natural organic matter, especially for reduction of trihalomethane formation potential, for which regulation has become stringent. Turbidity removal was closely related to pH variation showing the reduced turbidity removal by PACs due to the decreases in the pH of supernants at high doses. The four coagulants showed different organic matter removal during coagulation and affected the removal in microfiltration. For instance, DOC concentration was not reduced by microfiltration when PAHCs were used however 10 % of DOC removal was observed by microfiltration with alum coagulation. Coagulation pretreatment also impacted the THM removals, i.e., approximately 30 % of THMs and 13 % of DOC was removed by microfiltration only, but 40 to 67 % of THMs and 30 % of DOC was removed by the integrated process. Strategies on selection of coagulants are needed depending on characteristics of target pollutants in raw waters.

중부지역 일본잎갈나무림의 친환경벌채가 산림 내 유기물 변화에 미치는 초기 영향 (Early Effect of Environment-friendly Harvesting on the Dynamics of Organic Matter in a Japanese Larch (Larix leptolepis) Forest in Central Korea)

  • 우리나라의 친환경벌채는 생태계, 경관 및 산림재해 방지 기능을 유지하도록 실행되고 있으며, 벌채 시 임목 중 일부를 남겨 임지가 일시에 드러나는 것을 방지하고 있다. 경기도 포천시 신북면 심곡리에 위치하고 있는 연구대상지에서 벌기령에 이른 41~50년생 일본잎갈나무림이 2017~2019년에 걸쳐 2 년간 벌채되었다. 벌채 3 년 후 산림 내 유기물 분포 및 변화를 측정하여 벌채에 따른 산림 내 유기물의 동태를 규명하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 2020년 6월부터 2021년 1월까지 지상부 바이오매스, 낙엽층, 낙엽생산량 및 토양(0-30m 깊이)의 유기물 함량을 측정하였다. 친환경벌채가 이루어진 일본잎갈나무림의 지상부 바이오매스는 142.22 t ha-1에서 44.20 t ha-1로 감소하였다. 낙엽층의 유기물 함량은 미벌채구에서 32.87 t ha-1였으며, 친환경벌채구에서 23.34 t ha-1로 감소하였다. 연간 낙엽생산량은 미벌채구에서 4.43t ha-1yr-1였으며, 친환경벌채구에서 1.16t ha-1 yr-1로 감소하였다. 토양용적밀도는 미벌채구 토양 B층이 0.97 g cm-3였으며 친환경벌채 후 1.06 g cm-3로 증가하였다. 토양유기물 함량은 미벌채구 토양 A층에서 11.5%였으며 벌채 후 12.8%로 증가하였다. 토양유기물 총량은 대조구와 친환경벌채구에서 각각 245.21 t ha-1과 263.92 t ha-1로 유의성 있는 변화를 보이지 않았으나, 전체적으로 벌채 후 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 일본잎갈나무림 내 유기물 총량은 406.48 t ha-1였으며 친환경벌채로 인하여 338.21 t ha-1로 감소하였다. 벌채 후 산림 내 지상부 유기물 비율은 13.1%로 감소하였으며, 토양유기물은 78.0%로 증가하여 산림 내 유기물 분포가 변화한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과 친환경벌채는 지상부에 축적된 탄소가 크게 소실된 반면 토양내에 저장된 탄소량의 증가로 전체적으로 산림 내 탄소 저징량의 감소 규모가 완화된 것을 보여주고 있다. 이 결과는 기후변화에 대응할 수 있는 산림 관리 방안의 마련을 위한 기초가 될 것으로 생각된다. 본 연구는 친환경벌채 후 3 년이 지난 시점에서 얻은 결과를 보여 주었으며, 이후의 산림 변화를 파악하기 위하여 산림 유기물의 변화와 수목 생장에 대한 추가연구가 필요한 것으로 보인다.

하수슬러지의 토양개량재 적용시 유기인계 농약의 흡착능력에 관한 연구

  • This study has been assessed the influence of applying sewage sludge to soil amendments on the sorption properties, and leaching potential of three commonly used organophosphorus pesticides, Diazinon, Fenitrothion, and Chlorpyrifos. A sandy soil with a low content of organic carbon was treated with sewage sludge with a ratio sandy soil : sludge ratio of 30:1. The sorption was determined with the batch equilibrium technique. The sorption isotherms could be described by Freundlich equation. The Freundlich constant, K value which measures sorption capacity, were 3.97, 9.94, 22.48 for Diazinon, Fenitrothion, Chlorpyrifos in non-amended soil. But in amended soil, K value was 12.58, 28.47, and 61.21 for Diazinon, Fenitrothion, and Chlorpyrifos. The overall effect of sewage sludge addition to soil was to increase pesticides adsorption, due to the high sorption capacity of the organic matter. The effect of sludge on tile leaching of pesticides in the soil was studied using packed soil columns. Total recoveries of pesticides in soil and leachate with leaching in soil column, were in the range of about 73~84%, was reduced with the passage of time. Diazinon moved more rapidly than Chlorpyrifos in the unamended soil due to greater sorption and lower water solubility of Chlorpyrifos. Total amounts of pesticides leached from the sewage sludge amended soils were significantly reduced when compared with unamended soils. This reduction may be mainly due to and increase in sorption in amended soils, as a consequence of the increase in the organic matter content.

마이크로버블과 촉매 적용에 따른 가축분뇨의 슬러지와 유기오염물질 감량 효과 (Effect of the Application of Microbubbles and/or Catalyst on the Sludge Reduction and Organic matter of Livestock Wastewater)

  • 마이크로버블과 촉매 그리고 산화제(공기)의 적용에 따라 6개의 서로 다른 조건으로 구분하여 가축분뇨의 슬러지 감량과 유기오염물질의 저감 효과를 알아보았다. 마이크로버블과 촉매, 그리고 산화제 모두 사용 하였을 때(조건1), 슬러지는 99% 이상 제거 되었으며, TCOD와 SCOD는 각각 58%와 13% 제거되었으며, 모든 조건에서 가장 높은 저감 효과를 나타냈다. 산화제를 공급하면서 마이크로버블(조건2)과 촉매(조건 4)를 사용하였을때, 슬러지 감량은 95%와 93.1%, TCOD의 감량은 53%와 47%로 나타났다. 산화제(공기)를 공급할 때는 마이크로버블의 저감효과가 촉매보다는 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 마이크로버블과 촉매 반응은 산화제와 함께 반응 과정 중에 OH-라디칼이 생성되고, OH-라디칼의 강한 산화력에 의해 오염물질이 분해되는 것이다. 산화제와 함께 마이크로버블과 촉매에 의한 슬러지 감량 효과는 모두 93% 이상이었으며, TCOD의 감량은 47% 이상이었다.

인삼 재배 시 토직모 생산에 적합한 유기물 선발 (Selection of Suitable Organic Matter for To-jik Nursery in Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer)

  • This experiment was carried out to select suitable organic matter in To-jik nursery (self soil nursery) for complement To-jik nursery's defects that are deterioration of raw material by poor quality of seed ginseng and reduction of the quantity in seed ginseng production. Organic matter used were Yacto, rice bean, defatted rice bran, soybean cake and their mixture. As follows, bulk density in soil physical property by treating organic composts was the greatest in soybean cake and the next was followed by mix, Yacto, defatted rice bran, and rice bran treatment in order. Soil pore space ratio was totally the opposite; that was rice bran the first and followed by defatted rice bran, Yacto, mix and soybean cake treatment. The incidence rate of damping off by treating organic composts was 1.5% in both soybean cake and mix while the others was 1.0%. Emergence time was the same among treatment on April 16 and Emergence rate was the highest at 73% in Yacto. There was no significant differences among treatment in the growth of aboveground part but it was a little better in defatted rice bran treatment. In Yacto treatment, the growth of underground part, total root number per kan, rate of first grade ginseng seedling, and rate of usable ginseng seedling etc. were entirely higher but there was little differences. Using defatted rice bran was slightly lower in productivity compared to Yacto, but the possibility was high as a alternative for Yacto in a view of managing cost down.

Effects of controlled environmental changes on the mineralization of soil organic matter

  • This study investigated how the combined changes in environmental conditions and nitrogen (N) deposition influence the mineralization processes and carbon (C) dynamics of wetland soil. For this objective, we conducted a growth chamber experiment to examine the effects of combined changes in environmental conditions and N deposition on the anaerobic decomposition of organic carbon and the emission of greenhouse gases from wetland soil. A chamber with elevated $CO_2$ and temperature showed almost twice the reduction of total decomposition rate compared to the chamber with ambient atmospheric conditions. In addition, $CO_2$ fluxes decreased during the incubation under the conditions of ambient $CO_2$ and temperature. The decrease in anaerobic microbial metabolism resulted from the presence of vegetation, which influences the litter quality of soils. This can be supported by the increase in C/N ratio over the experimental duration. Principle component analysis results demonstrated the opposite locations of loadings for the cases at the initial time and after three months of incubation, which indicates a reduction in the decomposition rate and an increasing C/N ratio during the incubation. From the distribution between the decomposition rate and gas fluxes, we concluded that anaerobic decomposition rates do not have a significantly positive relationship with the fluxes of greenhouse gas emissions from the soil.
