Some rank score tests are proposed for testing the equality of all sampling distribution functions against ordered location-scale alternatives in k-sample problem. Under the null hypothesis and a contiguous sequence of ordered location-scale alternatives, the asymptotic properties of the proposed test statistics are investigated. Also, the asymptotic local powers are compared with each others. The results show that the proposed tests based on the Hettmansperger-Norton type statistic are more powerful than others for the general ordered location-scale alternatives. However, the Shiraishi's tests based on the sum of two Bartholomew's rank analogue statistics are robust.

We establish fixed point and multidimensional fixed point results satisfying generalized (𝜓, 𝜃, 𝜑)-contraction on partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces. By using this result we obtain the solution for periodic boundary value problems and give an example to show the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results generalize, extend and modify several well-known results in the literature.

An adaptive estimation and testing method is proposed for comparing dispersions among several ordered groups. Based upon the large sampling theory for nonparametric quartile estimators, we derive the order restricted estimators and construct a simple test statistic. This test statistic has a mixture of several chi-square distributions as its asymptotic null distribution. The proposed test is illustratively applied to survival time data for the patients with carcinoma of the oropharynx.

We prove some common fixed point theorems for β-non-decreasing mappings under contraction mapping principle on partially ordered metric spaces. We study the existence of solution for periodic boundary value problems and also give an example to show the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results improve and generalize various known results.

We establish coincidence point theorem for g-nondecreasing mappings satisfying generalized nonlinear contraction on partially ordered metric spaces. We also obtain the coupled coincidence point theorem for generalized compatible pair of mappings F, G : X² → X by using obtained coincidence point results. Furthermore, an example is also given to demonstrate the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results generalize, modify, improve and sharpen several well-known results.

We establish some common fixed point theorems satisfying weak ψ - ϕ contraction on partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces. By using this results we show the existence of fixed point on the domain of words and apply this approach to deduce the existence of solution for some recurrence equations associated to the analysis of Quicksort algorithms and divide and Conquer algorithms, respectively and also give an example to show the usefulness of our hypothesis. Our results generalize, extend and improve several well-known results of the existing literature in fixed point theory.

Consider an $r\;\times\;c$ contingency table under the full multinomial model in which each classification is ordered. The problem is to test the null hypothesis of independence. A number of tests have been proposed for this problem. In this article we show that all of these tests can be improved on in some sense for most cases. In fact the preceding tests sometimes are inadmissible in a strict sense. Furthermore, we show by example that in some cases improved tests can yield substantially improved power functions.

EVMS(Earned Value Management System)는 건설프로젝트의 선진관리기법으로서 최근 국내건설공사의 공공부분 공사에 도입되어 제도화되었으며, 정부발주뿐만 아니라 민간발주 건설프로젝트에서도 EVMS를 관리기법의 도구로 활용하기 위하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 선진관리기법인 EVMS를 도입하기 이전에 EVMS의 여러 업무들이 국내건설사업 환경에 대한 적합성에 대하여 검정할 필요성이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 EVMS에서 프로젝트 예측단계로서 최종예상공사비(Estimate At Completion)를 정확하게 평가하고 실질적인 비용을 측정하는데 유용하게 사용하기 위하여 최종예상공사비 평가방법을 제안하고 그 방법들에 대하여 통계적 방법인 가설검정(Hypothesis testing)을 이용하여 타당성을 검증하고자 한다.

표본수 결정에서 요구되는 검정력 함수는 연구가설에 상응하는 가장 적절한 검정방법에 의한 것이어야 한다. 의학연구의 논문에 자주 나타나는 순위자료 또는 범주형 빈도자료의 분석에는 비모수적 방법이 적절하며, 본 논문에서는 단변량 및 이변량 순위변수에 대한 윌콕슨-만-휘트니(Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney; WMW) 검정법에 의한 표본수 결정방법을 제시한다. 단변량 순위변수의 윌콕슨 검정에서는 귀무가설과 대립가설 하의 분산을 이용한 표본수 공식이 귀무가설 하의 분산만 이용한 표본수 공식보다 정확하지만, 대립가설 하의 분산식에 나타나는 확률값이 일반적으로 알려져 있지 않으므로 이 확률값의 추정이 문제가 된다. 모의실험으로 두 방법에 대한 장, 단점을 알아본다. 효능과 안전성의 이변량 순위변수에서는 이변량 WMW 검정법에 의한 표본수 결정방법이 모수적 검정법에 의한 표본수 결정방법보다 더욱 바람직하다.

광역도시내 대도시와 신도시는 경제적인 유기체임에도 불구하고 임의적인 행정구역으로 분할되어 있다. 이 결과 대도시는 신도시 주민들을 위하여 막대한 재원을 투자하여 도시기반시설을 건설하여야 하나, 상주인구의 감소로 재원부족이라는 어려움에 빠지게 된다. 본 연구는 1990년 미국 센서스 1% 자료를 이용하여 53개 광역도시내 인구이동을 분석하여 대도시가 도시기반시설에 투자를 하면 할수록 신도시로 대도시 인구가 빠져나가는 "신도시 주민의 대도시 찰취가설"을 입증하였다. 결국 광역도시내에 상이한 지방정부가 존재하는 경우 지방정부서비스 공급은 티부이론이 제시하는 효율성을 달성하지 못하기 때문에 광역도시내 정부 서비스의 공급은 사무엘슨 방식의 통합적 제공이 필요하다. 제공이 필요하다.
