CDN 환경에서 콘텐츠 보안 방법 연구 (A Study on Contents Security Method Based on a Content Delivery Network)

  • 인터넷 사용자의 폭발적 증거와 전자상거래를 통한 디지털 컨텐츠 유통 시장의 성장 등으로 인해 급격히 증가하는 네트워크 트래픽을 수용하고 처리하기 위해 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 새로운 네트워크 서비스의 중심으로 등장할 CDN 시스템 환경에서 디지털 컨텐츠와 저작권을 보호하기 위한 방안으로 CDN 기반의 분산 DRM 시스템을 설계한다. 이를 위해 분산 저장되어 있는 컨텐츠에 보다 강한 보안성을 제공하는 DRM 패키지 형식이 정의되었으며, 기존의 CDN 시스템과 상호 운용하기 위한 분산 DRM 시스템의 동작 절차를 제시한다.

Optimal Vertical Handover Control Policies for Cooperative Wireless Networks

  • Inter-operability between heterogeneous radio access technologies (RATs), in the sense of seamless vertical han-dover (VHO) support with common radio resource management (CRRM) functionalities, has recently attracted a significant research attention and has become a prominent issue in standardization fora. In this paper, we formulate the problem of load balancing between cooperative RAT's as a mathematical program and by trading off a pre-defined delay tolerance per request we propose a vertical handover batch processing (VHBP) scheme. To quantify the performance of the proposed VHBP scheme we compare it with a baseline processing scheme, where each VHO request is processed independently under a number of different network scenarios. Numerical investigations reveal significant net benefits of the proposed scheme compared with the baseline, both in terms of achieved load balancing levels but also with regard to the acceptance rate of the VHO requests.

  • Bioterrorism events have worldwide impacts, not only in terms of security and public health policy, but also in other related sectors. Many countries, including Korea, have set up new administrative and operational structures and adapted their preparedness and response plans in order to deal with new kinds of threats. Korea has dual surveillance systems for the early detection of bioterrorism. The first is syndromic surveillance that typically monitors non-specific clinical information that may indicate possible bioterrorism-associated diseases before specific diagnoses are made. The other is infectious disease specialist network that diagnoses and responds to specific illnesses caused by intentional release of biologic agents. Infectious disease physicians, clinical microbiologists, and infection control professionals play critical and complementary roles in these networks. Infectious disease specialists should develop practical and realistic response plans for their institutions in partnership with local and state health departments, in preparation for a real or suspected bioterrorism attack.

자율운항선박의 회피 항로 적용을 위한 항로 추종 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Route following Algorithm for Application in Collision Avoidance Routes of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship)

  • 최근 자율 항해 기술의 수요가 높아져 관련 연구도 증가하는 추세이다. 자율운항선박들은 일반적으로 계획 항로를 추종하여 항해하는 도중 위험 상황에 따라 회피항로를 산출하고 산출된 항로를 추종한다. 항로 추종에는 일반적으로 자동조타장치가 활용되며, 자동조타장치의 운용 방식 중, 항로제어 모드를 자율운항선박에 적용하는 것이 현 시점에서 가장 적절한 방안이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 자동조타장치의 항해제어 모드를 활용해 회피 항로를 적용하기 위한 항로 추종 알고리즘을 개발한다. 알고리즘은 직선구간과 선회구간을 구분하여 개발하였으며, 이에 대한 성능을 검증하기 위해 국제 인증을 취득한 시뮬레이터 장비를 사용하여 관련 국제 표준인 IEC 62065에서 제시한 성능을 만족하기 위한 성능 시험을 진행하였다. 성능 검증 결과로 보았을 때, 선박이 항로를 추종함에 있어서 선박과 항로 사이의 직선거리를 나타내는 Cross Track Error가 IEC 62065에서 제시하는 성능 기준을 만족하는 것을 확인하였다.

화장실 이용 피난공간의 방연시스템 제안 및 실규모 실험 (Study on Suggestion of Smoke-proof System Using a Restroom for a Refuge Space)

  • 고층 건축물의 화장실은 평상시 악취 등의 배출을 위하여 송풍기와 풍도로 구성된 배기시스템이 설치되어 있으며 용수의 공급이 이루어지고 있어서 화염과 연기에 대한 방호기능만 추가되면 화재발생시 긴급한 피난공간으로 활용될 수 있다. 평상시 화장실의 배기용으로 사용하는 송풍시스템을 화재시 급기시스템으로 전환함으로써 기존 화장실의 연기에 대한 방호성능을 확보하는 화장실 방연시스템을 제안하였다. 또한 지상 5층 규모의 연기제어 실험동에 기존 화장실을 이용한 피난공간의 방연시스템에 대한 실규모 실험 시설을 설치하고, 화재발생 조건에 따른 작동성능 평가 실험을 수행하였으며 그 결과를 제시하였다.

팩인홀 작업을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 컴플라이언스 해석 (Compliance Analysis for Effective Peg-In-Hole Task)

  • This paper deals with an analysis of the compliance characteristic for effective peg-in-hole task using robot hand without inter-finger coupling. We first observe the fact that some of coupling stiffness elements cannot be planned arbitrary. next we classify the task of inserting a peg-in-a-hole into two contact styles between the peg and the hole. Then we analyze the conditions of the specified stiffness matrix in the operational space to successfully and more effectively achieve the give peg-in-hole task for each case. It is concluded that the location of compliance center on the peg and the coupling stiffness element existing between the translational and the rotational direction play important roles for successful peg-in-hole task. Simulation results are included to verify the feasibility of the analytic results.

굴착기의 부하율에 따른 실작업 질소산화물 배출 특성 연구 (Study on Real-Work NOx Emission Characteristics according to Load Factor of Excavator)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the impact of engine load on the emission characteristics of excavator engines, with the aim of improving the method for calculating the emission inventory of construction machinery. The engine load in excavators is directly correlated with the operational workload, and variations in the load factor (LF) can significantly influence the emission inventory. Thus, on-board diagnostic (OBD) data from an excavator at a construction site were systematically collected to measure engine output and emissions. The results revealed discernible differences in emissions based on engine load, even when the average excavator engine performance remained constant. This highlights the significant influence of the type and characteristics of the work being carried out on emission characteristics. Making realistic adjustments to the LF used in emission calculation formulas emerges as a crucial strategy for environmental improvement. Moreover, the analysis of the effects of engine load on emissions from excavators provides valuable insights for enhancing environmental protection measures.

Icevaning control of an Arctic offshore vessel and its experimental validation

  • Managing with the presence of sea ice is the primary challenge in the operation of floating platforms in the Arctic region. It is widely accepted that offshore structures operating in Arctic conditions need station-keeping methods as well as ice management by icebreakers. Dynamic Positioning (DP) is one of the station-keeping methods that can provide mobility and flexibility in marine operations. The presence of sea ice generates complex external forces and moments acting on the vessel, which need to be counteracted by the DP system. In this paper, an icevaning control algorithm is proposed that enables Arctic offshore vessels to perform DP operations. The proposed icevaning control enables each vessel to be oriented toward the direction of the mean environmental force induced by ice drifting so as to improve the operational safety and reduce the overall thruster power consumption by having minimum external disturbances naturally. A mathematical model of an Arctic offshore vessel is summarized for the development of the new icevaning control algorithm. To determine the icevaning action of the Arctic offshore vessel without any measurements and estimation of ice conditions including ice drift, task and null space are defined in the vessel model, and the control law is formulated in the task space. A backstepping technique is utilized to handle the nonlinearity of the Arctic offshore vessel's dynamic model, and the Lyapunov stability theory is applied to guarantee the stability of the proposed icevaning control algorithm. Experiments are conducted in the ice tank of the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

사이버공간 내 상황인식을 위한 사이버 공통 작전 상황도 연구 (A study on the cyber common operation picture for situational awareness in cyberspace)

  • 사이버공격은 사이버공간에서 눈 깜짝할 사이에 일어나며, 그 피해는 전 세계에 점차 늘어나고 있다. 따라서, 사이버공간 3계층에 속하는 다양한 자산들을 여러 가지 시각에서 파악할 수 있는 사이버 공통작전상황도의 개발이 필요하다. 이는 군에서 사용하는 전장 정보 파악에 대한 방안을 적용하면 최적의 사이버공간 내 상황인식을 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사이버 공통작전상황도에 필요한 가시화 화면들을 식별하고 기준(응답속도, 사용자 인터페이스, 객체 기호, 객체 크기)들을 조사한다. 그 후 식별 및 조사한 사항들을 적용하여 프레임워크를 설계하고 그에 따라 가시화 화면들을 구현한다. 최종적으로 가시화 화면이 조사한 기준 중 사진으로는 알아볼 수 없는 응답속도에 대한 실험을 진행한다. 결과적으로 구현된 가시화 화면들은 모두 응답속도 기준에 부합했다. 이와 같은 연구는 지휘관이나 보안 담당자들이 사이버공격을 대비하기 위한 사이버 공통작전상황도를 구축하는데 도움이 된다.

A Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy power-distribution method for a prototypical advanced reactor considering pump degradation

  • Advanced reactor designs often feature longer operating cycles between refueling and new concepts of operation beyond traditional baseload electricity production. Owing to this increased complexity, traditional proportional-integral control may not be sufficient across all potential operating regimes. The prototypical advanced reactor (PAR) design features two independent reactor modules, each connected to a single dedicated steam generator that feeds a common balance of plant for electricity generation and process heat applications. In the current research, the PAR is expected to operate in a load-following manner to produce electricity to meet grid demand over a 24-hour period. Over the operational lifetime of the PAR system, primary and intermediate sodium pumps are expected to degrade in performance. The independent operation of the two reactor modules in the PAR may allow the system to continue operating under degraded pump performance by shifting the power production between reactor modules in order to meet overall load demands. This paper proposes a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy logic-based power distribution system. Two T-S fuzzy power distribution controllers have been designed and tested. Simulation shows that the devised T-S fuzzy controllers provide improved performance over traditional controls during daily load-following operation under different levels of pump degradation.
