A Study on Standards for Hospital Bed and Operating Table (의료용 침대 및 수술대의 기준규격 연구)

  • Electrically operated hospital bed and operating table are useful devices to care patients and to keep postures of them in medical treatment. However they have the risk of physical injury due to various functions and mechanisms consisting of them. In this paper we propose particular requirements for the safety and test methods of electrically operated hospital beds and operating table classified into medical devices. Each items are developed based on international standards. The results of this study can be used for developing internationally harmonized standards for the approval of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA).

온라인 정보검색 시스템의 명령어비교

  • This study is an attempt to furnish some helpful data for the maximum use of online information retrieval systems based on the comparative analysis of commands and operating terms employed by DIALOG, ORBIT and BRS which are three largest information retrieval systems in the world. To begin with, the historical development, service contents and retrieval functions of three systems were overviewed in the second chapter, on the basis of which the concrete functions and contents of the commands and the operating terms of the three systems were compared and analyzed one another. Commands were explained divided into basic and special ones. The basic commands subdivided into 44 items were put into the form of a diagram(Table 1). The special commands were first subdivided into search commnad, output-related commands and su n.0, pplementary commands, and then 14 items of which were comparatively analyzed and were represented as a chart(Table 2). In addition, any stand-alone commands employed by each system were also analyzed as a chart(Table 3). The Operating terms other than commands were subdivided into 16 items and were represented as a chart(Table 4). Password, inverted file, search step number in search session, etc were explained to the very detailed extent. A self-evident, single word is that the through understanding of commands is essential to the maximm use of all the functions of each of three systems.

  • The vibration isolation table system for the high precision Processing machinery has been developed. The system uses air spring as its isolation elements. An investigation of the model and the test results showed that the diaphragm has a role in the mathematical model. The vibration levels at various floors in the laboratory were investigated during operating the large shaking table for the selection of optimum installation location. The vibration test on the designed system showed good isolation performances.

That is what the space around the operating table so clean as it remove contaminations with circulation of interior air.   • The vertical roller mill, which performs the grinding and partly blending of raw material, is the one of the important machine to produce ordinary portland cement. It has been reported that an unexpected fatigue failure occurred in a table liner in the course of grinding portland cement. The life of table liner is estimated to $4{\times}10^7$ cycles in the design stage, but at the field, when its operating time reaches to $2{\times}10^6{\sim}8{\times}10^6$ cycles, the fracture of table liner begins to be found. The fracture of table liner is initiated from the outside edge of grinding path contacting with the grinding roller. Its maintenance normally take 30 % of the total maintenance costs of the roller mill. Therefore, this study shows the clarification of the reasons occurring the fatal destruction of the table liner by fatigue fracture analysis utilizing fracture mechanics and by the finite element method. And, the results from Goodman diagram illustrate relationship of including information on the transition between tensile and bending fatigue strength in the fatigue characterization of table liner.

  • A CHF table method has been assessed in this study for rod bundle CHF predictions. At the conceptual design stage for a new reactor, a general critical heat flux (CHF) prediction method with a wide applicable range and reasonable accuracy is essential to the thermal-hydraulic design and safety analysis. In many aspects, a CHF table method (i.e., the use of a round tube CHF table with appropriate bundle correction factors) can be a promising way to fulfill this need. So the assessment of the CHF table method has been performed with the bundle CHF data relevant to pressurized water reactors (PWRs). For comparison purposes, W-3R and EPRI-1 were also applied to the same data base. Data analysis has been conducted with the subchannel code COBRA-IV-I. The CHF table method shows the best predictions based on the direct substitution method. Improvements of the bundle correction factors, especially for the spacer grid and cold wall effects, are desirable for better predictions. Though the present assessment is somewhat limited in both fuel geometries and operating conditions, the CHF table method clearly shows potential to be a general CHF predictor.

Influence of Operating Condition on Grinding Temperature in High Effect Grinding (고능률 가공에서 연삭 온도에 미치는 연삭 조건의 영향)

  • In this paper, the influence of the table speed, metal removal rate and grinding fluid on long wheel workpiece contact zone at high effect grinding was investigated by theoretical analyses and measuring the temperature, and discussed by the temperature distribution in grinding surface layer. Main results obtained are as follows, 1) Rega.dless of the table speed, the temperature gap of the workpiece(heat influx) is about 6-8 times as high in dry condition as in wet condition. 2) Good grinding condition can be obtained owing to the effect of grinding fluid without any burning defect under the condition of the metal removal rate(1.0mm$^3$/mm.s) in case of wet grinding. 3) When the depth from the surface layer is about 1.25-1.5mm under the condition of the slow table speed, surface temperature goes up higher as the table speed slows down, because long contact time is laked at the surface layer. 4) In case of the same metal removal rate, the lower the table speed becomes, the higher the surface temperature is, because grinding depth has a far more influence on wheel workpiece contact zone than the table speed.

Spatial Dose Distribution for C-arm Examination within Operation Room Using Monte Carlo Method (몬테카를로 방법을 이용한 이동형 X선 투시검사 시 수술실 내 공간선량평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the spatial dose according to the distance by location of medical workers when using a mobile X-ray fluoroscopy device in the operating room through a simulation experiment. The MCNPX program was used for the simulation, and the location of medical workers was set around the operating table, and the spatial dose distribution according to the distance and changes in imaging conditions was evaluated. As a result, The highest score was 2.74×10-4 mGy, 2.72×10-4 mGy, and 1.18×10-4 mGy based on the 10 cm distance from the operating table. Spatial dose depending on the distance 100cm, A point 5.15×10-5 mGy is decreased 19% of 10cm, D point 5.12×10-5 mGy, 19 % of 10cm, and G pint, 1.73×10-5 mGy is reduced by 15% of 10cm. Based on this study, medical-related workers directly or indirectly participating in surgery carry potential risks of radiation exposure during surgery, but there are difficulties in radiation protection due to the nature of their work. Therefore, efforts to reduce exposure suitable for the operating room environment will be required.

  • This paper proposes a network intrusion detection model which can detect the insertion and evasion attacks. These attacks can be prevented when some kind of information are available in the network intrusion detection system. We classified these information with three categories and used each category at setup phase and executing Phase. Within the proposed model, all necessary information which are related with networks and operating systems are maintained in the database and created as a table. This table is used during intrusion detection. The overheads of database and table may be simple in this model.
