  • There are several types of distributed subscribers network using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL), and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS), The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks and resources require the general information model of network, which has abstract and conceptional managed objects independent of type of network and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network, This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network modeling framework using RM-ODP (Reference Model Open Distributed Processing) to manage that network In the form of integrated hierarchy, This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML (Unified Modeling Language) and designs and implements the HFC network of DOCSIS as an example of the subscriber network.

  • Construction of roof structure, cable suspended structure, for Pusan main stadium is adapted a lifting method that is VSL lifting system. 5 precesses are practiced for erection of the roof structure including the first lifting process for erection of upper cables and the second lifting process for erection of lower cables. Since all cables of this roof structure with two open speller sockets are determined their length, some cable were wrong length, the roof structure would be unstable. But At complete of erection for the roof structure each cab3e is attained to theoretical tension force with average $4\%$ errors.

  • IPTV provides their services only for their subscribers who have a eligibility to watch it by using Conditional Access System(CAS). CAS has been servicing their contents for subscribers by using set-top box or cable card so far, but these days, to solve the compatibility between kinds of devices, linkage with other services as DRM and confirming stability, the research of Downloadable CAS(DCAS) is being advanced steadily. On this paper, we analyse the vulnerability of DCAS based on the OpenCable and make up for the vulnerability in DCAS, then proposes to use secure DCAS system for IPTV. Also we show the result of the research and analyse the satisfaction of requirements.

  • The aim of this paper is to open up a relatively new type in bridge engineering by introducing plan and design of extradosed bridge which is implemented in Sungnam-Janghowon T/K project. The topic encompasses parametric study including the behavior of the bridge relevant to the cable layout, the distance from pier table to the first cable's location, the height of pylon, the stiffness of cross section and wind vibration to ascertain sectional type of bridge and span length. For the purpose of the knowledge base presented here, the important feature of design is recommended such as modeling method, camber control, finite element analysis and heat hydration of pier table. We can verify the issue related to the characteristics of extradosed bridge as a result of study and design endeavor.

  • 본 논문은 디지털 케이불망에서 초고선명 TV(Ultra High Definition TV) 서비스를 위한 100Mbps급 1024-QAM 전송시스템 개발에 관하여 기술한다. 8K-UHD TV(해상도 7680x4320) 콘텐츠 전송을 위해서는 l개의 프로그램당 약 100-160Mbps의 대용량 데이터 전송률이 확보되어야 하며. 이러한 대용량 데이터 전송을 위해 타매체에 비해 상대적으로 전송채널 환경이 우수한 디지털 케이블망(HFC:Hybrid Fiber and Coaxial)을 이용한 대용량 실감데이터 전송기술에 대한 연구가 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 UHD 실감콘텐즈 전송을 위하여, OpenCable(J.83 Annex B) 확장형 1024-QAM 송수신기술 및 방송망 채널본딩기법을 적용한 100Mbps급 송수신 기술개발에 대한 내용을 기술한다.

Conceptual design of light bascule bridge

  • This paper proposed a conceptual design of bascule bridge, which is a new kind of movable bridge with an aim of reducing the weight of superstructure. Compared with the traditional bascule bridge, the light bascule bridge chooses cable-stayed bridge with inclined pylon as its superstructure; therefore, the functions of balance-weight and structure will fuse into one. Otherwise, it adopts moving counterweight to adjust its center of gravity (CG) to open or close the bridge. In order to lighten the superstructure, it uses contact springs to auxiliary retract, and intelligent prestressing system (IPS) to control the main girder's deformation. Simultaneously the vibration control scheme of structure is discussed. Starting from establishing the mechanical model of bridge, this article tries to analyze the conditions that the design parameters of structure and attachments should satisfy to. After the design procedure was presented, an example was also adopted to explain the primary design process of this kind bridge.

Performance of passive and active MTMDs in seismic response of Ahvaz cable-stayed bridge

  • Cable-stayed bridges are attractive due to their beauty, reducing material consumption, less harm to the environment and so on, in comparison with other kinds of bridges. As a massive structure with long period and low damping (0.3 to 2%) under many dynamic loads, these bridges are susceptible to fatigue, serviceability disorder, damage or even collapse. Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is a suitable controlling system to reduce the vibrations and prevent the threats in such bridges. In this paper, Multi Tuned Mass Damper (MTMD) system is added to the Ahvaz cable stayed Bridge in Iran, to reduce its seismic vibrations. First, the bridge is modeled in SAP2000 followed with result verification. Dead and live loads and the moving loads have been assigned to the bridge. Then the finite element model is developed in OpenSees, with the goal of running a nonlinear time-history analysis. Three far-field and three near-field earthquake records are imposed to the model after scaling to the PGA of 0.25 g, 0.4 g, 0.55 g and 0.7 g. Two MTMD systems, passive and active, with the number of TMDs from 1 to 8, are placed in specific points of the main span of bridge, adding a total mass ratio of 1 to 10% to the bridge. The parameters of the TMDs are optimized using Genetic Algorithm (GA). Also, the optimum force for active control is achieved by Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC). The results showed that the maximum displacement of the center of the bridge main span reduced 33% and 48% respectively by adding passive and active MTMD systems. The RMS of displacement reduced 37% and 47%, the velocity 36% and 42% and also the base shear in pylons, 27% and 47%, respectively by adding passive and active systems, in the best cases.

  • Networked Digital Recorder(NDR) Platform is a system that owns contents jointly between tv viewers connected by the broadcast broadband convergence network. NDR suggests a new content distribution chain model that users can receive broadcast contents, share contents and sends contents by convergence network. This paper looks at the system requirements, service model and the overall system architecture of NDR platform.

  • In this paper, we have analyzed algorithm about physical layer, data link layer and MAC layer of out-of-band specified in the DVS 178 and designed architecture of Out-of-band processor. Out-of-band processor extracts session key information from EMM packet to descramble MPEG-2 TS packet scrambled. Also, analyze EAS Packet including emergency alert information to provide emergency communications such as national emergency. In this paper, we have implemented prototype board for out-of-band processor.

디지털유선방송 표준화 동향

  • 미국 디지털 유선방송 표준인 OpenCable 방식을 디지털유선방송 추진위원회에서 만장일치로 선정하여 정보통신부에 권고한 상태, 기술기준 정리 및 데이터 방송, Text Bed 관리 등의 업무를 추진위원호에서 수행할 예정임. 디지털 유선방송은 전송방식이 256QAM이 표준이므로, 최대 6MHz 대역내 다수의 HDTV 채널 수용이 가능할 것임. STB내에 OCAP Middleware가 탑재될 것이고 Web Browsing, Chatting, Email 등이 표준으로 되어 있고 양방향 데이터방송이 가능하므로, 현재의 단순한 방송위주의 유선방송에서 본격적인 방송 통신의 융합체로 새롭게 탄생할 것으로 예상됨
