Open-ended problems can foster deeper understanding of mathematical ideas, generating creative thinking and communication in students. High-order thinking tasks such as open-ended problems involve more ambiguity and higher level of personal risks for students than they are normally exposed to in routine problems. To explore the classroom-based factors that could support or inhibit such higher-order processes, this paper also describes two cases of Singapore primary school teachers who have successfully or unsuccessfully implemented an open-ended problem in their mathematics lessons.

722 open clusters in the Sim open cluster catalogue show the outermost structure of open clusters. The catalogue is based on the proper motion and parallax of the stars. These results reveal the hidden structures of weak membership signals in the field star contamination. It contains the tidal tails, flattened structure along the galactic plane, interacting double clusters and very poor and spread clusters. We will show these interesting structures.

In this study, factors affecting the development of new products and research about the relevance of the factors based on the research model was configured. 웹 클러스터 시스템은 여러 대의 서버로 부하를 분산시키는 시스템이다. 부하 분산 알고리즘으로 가중치를 부여하고 연결 수가 가장 적은 리얼 서버를 선출하는 방식인 가중치 기반 최소-연결(WLC: Weighted Least-Connection) 스케줄링 알고리즘을 가장 많이 사용하고 있다. 이 알고리즘은 동시 사용자 수가 많은 웹 클러스터 시스템에 새로운 리얼 서버가 추가될 경우 새로운 서버에게 웹 요청을 집중적으로 할당하여 해당 서버에 과부하를 발생시키는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 리얼 서버에게 발생하는 과부하를 줄이기 위해, 웹 요청이 새로운 리얼 서버에게 연속적으로 할당되면 해당 서버를 스케줄링에서 잠시 제외되도록 하는 개선된 WLC 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다.

다중서명에서는 보안적 요소뿐만 아니라 다중서명의 길이, 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간, 복호화 시간, 통신량 등도 중요한 요소이다. 기존의 RSA를 그대로 이용한 RSA 원형 다중서명 방식과 RSA를 변형하여 적용한 RSA 변형 다중서명 방식은 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간이 각각의 개인서명을 생성하고 검증하는 시간의 합과 비례하여 증가한다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 서명자의 수만큼 분할된 각각의 부분메시지에 대해 RSA 방식을 이용하여 제각기 서명하는 다중서명 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 메시지 분할을 이용한 RSA 다중서명 방식은 블록의 수가 증가하지 않는 경우 기존 방식에 비해 다중서명의 길이가 증가하지 않으면서, 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간이 각각 $\frac{1}{L}$로 감소하고, 복호화 시간과 통신량은 각각 약 $\frac{1}{2}{\sim}\frac{1}{L}$로 감소한다.

인터넷 기반 자원 공유 시스템은 네트워크에 연결된 피어의 자원을 이용하여 고성능의 컴퓨팅 구현을 위한 시스템이다. 인터넷 기반 자원 공유 시스템의 가변적인 환경은 피어의 등록 및 삭제가 자유로워 연산 처리에 대한 신뢰성 문제를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 기반 자원 공유 시스템의 신뢰성 향상을 위해서 이기종 시스템간의 협업 그룹을 생성하여 관리하는 협업 관리 시스템을 설계한다. 효율적인 협업 관리를 위해 이기종 피어를 관리하는 협업 그룹을 정의하고 계층 구조의 중간DB서버를 제안한다. 그리고 협업 관리 시스템에서 제공되는 협업 그룹 서비스, 디스커버리 서비스, 작업 관리 서비스를 제안한다.

Folder type electronic devices have hinge to support the rotational motion of folder. This hinge is stressed by the rotational inertia moment of folder at the maximum open limit position of folder. This stress is repeated whenever the folder is open, and it is a cause of hinge fracture. In this paper, the reliability evaluation for the hinge fracture in the folder type cellular phone is discussed. For this, the durability testing machine using crank-rocker mechanism is developed to evaluate the life cycle of the hinge, and the degradation after repetitions of opening and shutting is evaluated from the deformation around the hinge, where the deformation is measured by ESPI (electronic speckle pattern interferometer). Experimental results showed that ESPI was able to measure the deformation of hinge precisely, so we could monitor the change of deformation around the hinge as the repetition number of folder open is increased.

This research demonstrates a 3D virtual visualization of urban environment and video fusion for effective damage prevention and surveillance system using open standard. We present the visualization and interaction simulation method to increase the situational awareness and optimize the realization of environmental monitoring through the CCTV video and 3D virtual environment. New camera prototype was designed based on the camera frustum view model to project recorded video prospectively onto the virtual 3D environment. The demonstration was developed by the X3D, which is royalty-free open standard and run-time architecture, and it offers abilities to represent, control and share 3D spatial information via the internet browsers.

컴퓨터 프로그래밍 실습의 공간적, 시간적 제약 및 프로그램 구입과 관련한 경제적 제약을 극복하기 위해 인터넷 웹 환경에 기반을 둔 학습 시스템에 대한 연구가 지금까지 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 웹 기반 학습 시스템을 이동기기를 학습매체로 하는 모바일 학습 환경으로 확장 적용하였으며, 이를 통하여 장소와 시간에 더 독립적인 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 학습 환경을 가능하게 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 모바일 학습 시스템은 PDA를 이용하여 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 실습을 할 수 있도록 설계되고 구현되었으며, 사용자의 PDA에 별도의 클라이언트 프로그램이 필요 없이 브라우저 상에서 바로 실행할 수 있도록 설계 및 구현하였다. 또한, 다양한 PDA 디스플레이 크기를 고려하여, 사전에 여러 규격의 디스플레이 템플릿을 보유하여, 사용자는 자신의 PDA 크기에 적합한 디스플레이를 선택할 수 있다.

소프트웨어 테스팅의 표준인 위험 기반 테스팅은 품질에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 위험들을 식별하고 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 테스트 전략을 세우는 방법이다. 성공적인 위험 기반 테스팅을 위해서는 위험을 조기에 식별하는 것이 중요하다. 위험 식별은 하나의 프로그램 혹은 프로젝트에 따라 이해관계자의 리뷰를 통해 주관적으로 추출하는 방법을 주로 사용한다. 그러나 이는 짧은 개발주기 안에서 변화되는 위험을 즉시적으로 식별하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 위험 기반 호출 그래프를 이용하여 위험을 초기에 식별할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.
