  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of mobile web-based cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) convergence education for nurses. This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 46 nurses was included. The experimental group was given mobile web-based online CPR education with self-directed offline CPR practice. The control group was given traditional CPR lecture education with CPR practice. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and performance skill test and were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The experimental group had higher scores on CPR knowledge and CPR self-efficacy than those of the control group. there were no significant differences between groups (p=.741; p=.162). CPR skill ability was significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group(p=.001). This findings indicate that mobile web-based CPR convergence education can be an effective to strengthen CPR capabilities for nurses. These contribute to expanding convergence of education program development.

  • The purpose of this paper is to find out the nature of language variation by exploring the ways of the progress of the language variation that produces all English-lects, i.e., the World Englishes. The study of language variation in linguistics is a hybrid enterprise, so the study of World Englishes has led to the recognition of a highly diverse set of all English-lects, encompassing regional dialects, sociolects, ethnolects and (post-)colonial dialects of World Englishes. In this paper, we propose a hybrid language variation model with three interacting factors of social distancing, on/off-contact, and linguistic diversity to examine the characteristics of language variation. In the context of World Englishes, the social distance is typically low in terms of their local location (country/speech) for local purposes. The social distance also varies based on online/offline communication modes and other social factors like gender, age and ethnic groups, resulting in all English-lects. To clarify the nature of World Englishes, the core Englishes, BrE, AmE and CanE are discussed here.

  • The purpose of this study is to design a community-based career education app for college students. Currently, career education in universities has various problems. First, career education is not systemized, second, satisfaction of participating students is not high, and third, competency-based career education is not conducted. Designing a community-based career education app for college students will solve the problem of lack of college career education instructors and increase the satisfaction of students participating in career education. To this end, core values were derived through the results of demand surveys, literature analysis, and network text analysis for college students, and a prototype of the app was devised according to the design of the rapid prototype. The career education program to be used in the app was designed by dividing online and offline activities so that university students can execute them in units of learning communities. Through the first and second usability evaluation and expert evaluation, the final prototype was designed and the app screen was designed.

  • A number of studies have been conducted on the evaluation of bi-national products, but studies that may be applied in practice are lacking. This study suggests several implications for bi-national products in the sub-market using a more specific approach than previous studies. To this end, this comprehensive comparative study reflects the purchasing routes, product category, and consumers' personal characteristics (regulatory focus, prior knowledge) of bi-national products. Results found the evaluation of bi-national products according to purchase routes showed that consumers in offline stores were more favorable than consumers in online stores. In comparison with product categories, necessities were more positive than luxury goods. On the other hand, according to consumer's personal characteristics, consumers with promotion focus tendency perceived brand preference more highly than consumers with preference focus tendency. Also, it was found that groups with high prior knowledge had a positive evaluation of products compared to low knowledge groups.

  • Recently, according to the rapid development of the Internet, information is increasing exponentially. A lot of this information Various studies are being conducted in order to communicate smoothly. In recent years, related researches applying artificial intelligence and big data technologies have been actively conducted. However, it has not produced remarkable results. One of the causes can be found in the severe limitation of the lack of language and knowledge standards. Currently, there is an active research on conferences using a multimedia approach, and gradually, interest in knowledge-based conference systems has begun. In the case of a meeting with a multimedia approach, the advantages and disadvantages of the existing offline meetings are expressed online as they are, and the management of information on the actual contents and process of important meetings is neglected. Therefore, in this paper, we study a plan to convert conference content information into an ontology, and propose a method to systematically analyze the ontology-formed information.

  • The Body Appreciation Scale-2 (BAS-2) measures the extent to which individuals feel, accept, and respond to their own bodies in a positive manner. Given the research need to explore positive body image and its associations with various sociocultural factors and related consequences among individuals with various cultural backgrounds, several studies have established the psychometric properties and factor structures of the BAS-2 in different languages and samples with different characteristics. The current study investigated the psychometric properties and measurement invariance of a Korean version of the BAS-2 in an older Korean adult population (599 older Korean adults with the average age of 70 years). Data were collected using both online and offline (paper-based) survey questionnaires. The results of exploratory factor analyses and confirmatory factor analysis evidenced the unidimensional factor structure and measurement invariance of the Korean BAS-2 among older Korean men and women, after dropping item 1. Scalar invariance was supported across gender, and men and women did not significantly differ in observed mean scores of the Korean BAS-2. The results also supported good convergent validity and criterion validity. Incremental validity was demonstrated by predicting self-esteem over and above measures of age, BMI, subjective financial and health status, body esteem, and ageism. High internal reliability and test-retest reliability over a 2-week period were confirmed. Overall, the results of this study support the reliable use of a Korean BAS-2 to measure positive body image among older Koreans after excluding item 1.

  • This study focused on the change of environment and cognition of dental hygienists about dental calculus removal after the national health insurance. We conducted online and offline surveys for 290 dental hygienists working in dental clinics in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon areas. Differences in perceptions were assessed by independent t-test and ANOVA. 62.1% answered that the health insurance coverage of dental calculus removal was appropriate, and 49.6% said that the desired number of health insurance coverage about the dental calculus removal should be applied twice a year. 54.3% said that the age after 20 years-old was not appropriate in national health insurance coverage of dental calculus removal, and 49.3% said that the appropriate starting age of dental calculus removal should be applied from high school students. 26.3% said that the number of national health insurance applications should be increased yearly, 20.5% said that oral care education should be added. Most of the dental hygienists said that the number of scaling patients increased, but that the quality of the scaling did not deteriorate. According to general characteristics, in the recognition of the removal of calculus, the dental hygienists having a career for 7~8 years felt less change. The dental hygienist wanted to expand the scope of national health insurance about scaling removal so that more subjects could remove dental calculus removal. Dental hygienists wanted that national health insurance should be systematically supplemented in order to contribute to the promotion of oral health of the people.
