A Study on Factors Affecting Chinese Users' Willing to Pay for Online Paid Knowledge Contents: Focusing on Theory of Planned Behavior (중국 온라인 유료 지식 콘텐츠 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 계획된 행동이론(TPB)중심으로)

  • In this paper, a research model was designed to investigate the factors affecting the purpose intentions to the online paid knowledge contents in China. The research model includes the contents characteristics, recognition of copyright, recognition of paid, the theory of planned behavior factors. In this research, the data was collected by online survey, and in final analysis, 457 users' questionnaires were used. The empirical paper proves research hypothesis by using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0. The results of the study are as follows: the contents characteristics partially give positive effects to attitude. In addition, recognition of paid and planning behavior theory factors have positive effects to purpose intentions. This paper provides a useful scheme to promotion the purpose of purchase for paid online knowledge contents.

A Study on the Online Service of Cultural Heritage Contents (문화유산 콘텐츠 온라인 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • Online service has been emphasized in various studies for content uses and diffusion of cultural heritage domain. This study purports to investigate the status of contents organization and information services for online cultural heritage services and to suggest improvement directions. This study conducted case studies and expert interviews based on contents, search systems, additional services, and expansion services. It also suggested an integrated information retrieval service for cultural heritage contents as well as the provision of high-quality content and various types of contents. The flexibility of the search function through the content hierarchy, the expansion of access points through the construction of controlled vocabulary, and authority data were also focused. As an additional service, the study proposed a curation-based, user-customized service, data sets open and share, and user participation.

Designing an Integrated Online-guide for Overseas Applicants Seeking to Teach English in Korea: Focus on Job and Visa Application

  • This study suggests an effective online guide for foreign teachers who want to teach English in Korean schools. When designing this guide for overseas applicants, there should be a consistent analysis to reflect the process of the system. Thus, this paper provides an analysis and results for an integrated online guide to increase the efficiency based on the pedagogical framework for analysis of the 'ADDIE' model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The number of job applicants who wish to teach English in Korea is growing rapidly because Korea is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the 'Korean Wave' has especially been experiencing significant changes with the development of social network services and digital technologies. As a result, overseas applicants' expectations regarding Korea when they are seeking information and applying is very high, but the aspects of the procedure provided by the government are somewhat disappointing. The paper presents customer needs and specific recommendation for each step of the application process to improve the guide's effectiveness.

  • The development of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has changed the manner in which English teachers are taught as instructors, as well as English language learners. Online-related technology, a product of development of ICT technology, is used for various purposes such as training teachers and enhancing professionalism of current teachers to practice more efficient training. The purpose of this study is to extract common domains and sub-domains related to development of cyber-type in-service training (INSET) through domestic and international case analyses and to develop content areas of INSET using cyberspace or efficient online INSET programs. To accomplish the purpose of this study, domestic and foreign cases were analyzed in relation to direction of development of online English teacher training programs.

  • This project aims to design and develop a prototype for an agent that support online collaborative learning. Online collaborative learning, which has emerged as a new form of education in the knowledge-based society, is regarded as an effective method for improving practical and highly advanced problem-solving abilities. Collaborative learning involves complicated processes, such as organizing teams, setting common goals, performing tasks, and evaluating the outcome of team activities. Thus, a teacher may have difficulty promoting and evaluating the entire process of collaborative learning, and a system may need to be developed to support it. Therefore, to promote interaction among learners in the process of collaborative learning, this study designed an extensible collaborative learning agent (ECOLA) for an online learning environment.

Direct Instruction and Use of Online English Writing Software on EMI Class-Takers' Self-Efficacy

  • EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) classes are now accepted policy at Korean universities, yet students often struggle with required academic English writings. The present study examined an EMI class that used direct instruction and access to online assistive English writing software. From preliminary analysis, 26 students expressed interest in how an EMI academic writing class could facilitate improved English writing skills. Study participants completed a survey on self-efficacy and learning needs and assignments for an EMI academic writing class. To establish inter-rater reliability, three trained raters assessed the written essays of students prior to and after instructional intervention. Fleiss' Kappas statistics showed moderate reliability. Students' opinions on the use of online software were also analysed. Paired t-test was run on the quality of students' pre- and post-instruction assignments, and there was significant difference in the rated scores. Self-efficacy was found to have moderate positive association with improved post-essay writing scores.

  • The aim of the study was analyzed effect of the interaction with contents (IC), learning satisfaction (LS) and learning achievement (LA) through evaluation of the self-directed learning ability (SDLA) and immersion in learning (IL) for online learning application in the radiation therapy. A total of fifty university students who completed the radiation therapy course were be surveyed. There was significant positive correlation with the IC and the intention to continue using (ICU) in SDLA, and IC, LS, LA, and ICU in LC. The online learning application could be increase the satisfaction and achievement of radiation therapy learning.

A Comparative Study on the Results of Online Learning Satisfaction at a Medical School (일개 의과대학의 온라인 수업 만족도 비교 연구)

  • Online learning at a medical school was evaluated and improved based on the results of the evaluation and the principles of online learning environments design. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of online learning satisfaction between semesters from medical students and professors. To evaluate online learning, satisfaction surveys for an online learning platform, student participation, learning methods, learning contents, student assessments, and learning supports were developed and distributed to research participants. 223 students and 37 professors participated for the 1st semester, and 218 students and 49 professors participated for the 2nd semester, and paired t-tests were used for the analysis. Student satisfaction for the online learning platform, learning methods, learning contents, and learning supports were positively changed. However, the differences in the satisfaction for the student participation and student assessments were not statistically significant. In particular, students' satisfaction in basic medical sciences and clinical medicine periods decreased, whereas students' satisfaction in preclinical medicine and clinical clerkship periods increased. Based on the results, this study will contribute to the improvement of online learning at medical schools.

  • This paper investigates the influence of social networks on the satisfaction and loyalty of online game users. We gather the resulting questionnaires written by all respondents and compare social networks of users in the online game world. Social networks of online game users influence a sense of community. In consequence, the community sense influences the satisfaction and loyalty of online game users, respectively. Therefore, the companies which produce an online game and provide various services to users should consider the social networks and communities of their game users. Especially they have to try to manage the users who are the opinion leaders of the online game. If the companies make good relationships with users who are the opinion leaders of the online game, they would easily improve the loyalty of ordinary users by performing word-of-moth marketing of the users' opinions concerning about the online game.

A study on Sensationalism of Advertisements on Online News Sites: Based on the Internet and Mobile Applications (온라인 뉴스사이트의 광고 선정성 연구: 인터넷과 모바일앱을 중심으로)

  • With several problems being pointed out with the rapid growth of online advertising markets, false, exaggerated or sensational advertisements are increasing. Particularly, the sensational appeal of online advertising is placed in the blind spot of deliberation on advertisements with any social consensus on the deliberation on online advertisements not made yet. According to these reasons, regulation and maintenance of the deliberation system are required for online advertising. In this study, content analyses on visual and verbal sensationalism in 2,009 advertisements were carried out based on 32 national online news services. According to the analyses, obscene advertisements on online news services are more than serious. In this study, based on the analyses, need for deliberation and regulation on online advertising is raised and direction of the deliberation on desired advertising is explored. In the future, effective advertising deliberate models need to be constructed through gathering opinions of the various members of the online advertising industry, such as advertisers, advertising agencies, media representatives, and publishers, etc.
