본 연구는 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템과 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템을 구축하고 두 실험시스템의 사용성을 비교 평가하여 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템의 유용성을 밝히고자 하였다. 사용성은 전체적으로 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템 보다온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템이 더 높게 나타났고, 통계적으로유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 도서관들이 인터넷서점, 검색엔진, 웹포털 등에서 공개한 도서검색용 Open API를 통해 제공되는 풍부한 콘텐트를 온라인목록에서 공유하고 활용하면 서지데이터의 확충, 주제접근과 주제검색 능력의 확대, 메타 검색서비스의 확장, 소장도서의 이용가능성 증대, 목록비용의 절감 등에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

본 연구 목적은 코로나 상황 학교도서관의 온라인 도구 활용 분석을 통해 학교도서관 독서교육 플랫폼으로서 독서교육종합지원시스템 개선에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 초중등 교육에 온라인 도구 활용이 극대화된 코로나 상황 속 독서교육종합지원시스템의 학교도서관 교육에 대한 지원과 기여도를 분석하기 위해 코로나 이전과 이후 상황의 독서교육종합지원시스템 활용도를 비교 분석하였다. 그리고 코로나 상황 속에서 전반적 온라인 도구와 독서교육종합지원시스템의 활용도에 대한 인식을 사서교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시해 비교하였다. 그리고 사서교사의 자유기술 의견을 중심으로 독서교육종합지원시스템에 대한 요구사항을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 독서교육종합지원시스템이 학교도서관의 온라인 플랫폼으로 기능하기 위한 시사점을 발견할 수 있었다.

This paper describes qualities of a library classification system that are commonly discussed in the LIS tradition and literature, and explains such a system’s three main functions, namely knowledge mapping, information retrieval, and shelf arrangement. In this vein, the paper states the functional requirements of bibliographic classifications, which broadly are subject collocation and facilitation of browsing the collection. It explains with details the components of a library classification system and their functions. The major components are schedules, notations, and index. It also states their distinguished features, such as generalia class, form divisions, book numbers, and devices for number synthesis which are not required in a knowledge classification. It illustrates with examples from the WebDewey good examples of added features of an online library classification system. It emphasizes that institutional backup and a revision machinery are essential for a classification to survive and remain relevant in the print and e-environment.

이 연구의 목적은 코로나19 기간 동안 대학도서관에서 실시된 다양한 비대면, 온라인 서비스를 살펴보고 뉴노멀시대 대학도서관에 적용할 수 있는 지속가능한 서비스를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 코로나19 사태로 인한 대학도서관 서비스의 운영 현황을 살펴보고, 국내 대학 중 재학생 10,000명 이상 대학의 도서관 63개관의 비대면·온라인 서비스 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 대상 도서관의 홈페이지와 대학도서관 발전계획을 살펴보았으며, 비대면·온라인 서비스를 '장서', '시설·공간', '프로그램'의 범주로 분류하여 서비스 사례를 분석하였다. 또한 국내 공공도서관 및 해외 도서관의 비대면·온라인 서비스 사례를 분석하여 국내 대학도서관에 적용할 수 있는 지속가능한 비대면 서비스를 살펴보았다. 연구의 결과, 뉴노멀시대 대학도서관의 지속가능한 서비스로 '수업자료에 대한 비대면·온라인 서비스 확대', '연구·학습지원 큐레이션 확대를 통한 도서관 자원의 이용 활성화', '스마트도서관 구축 및 시설·공간 서비스 혁신', '이용자와의 상호작용 확대를 통한 비대면·온라인 프로그램 기획'을 제시하였다.

The objective of this study was to investigate factors that could bring about successful implementation of extensive reading using online/offline blended English library system called 'Reading Gate' in primary and secondary schools. Although there are a great number of studies on effects of various extensive reading on linguistic, cognitive, and affective development, few studies have investigated how extensive reading programs can be implemented at large scale, e.g., whole school level. After analyzing students' reading levels in 200 schools using the same online extensive reading program called Reading Gate, results showed that while some schools were successful, others were not. Five primary and 13 middle schools were selected as successful schools. Data on implementation of the program of schools was gathered. Eighteen teachers and seven headteachers took part in the interview. After analyzing these data on the implementation of the extensive reading program, results revealed that the following five factors for successful implementation of blended extensive reading programs: online level-up system, teacher intervention, integration with the curriculum, school-level support, and parents' awareness of literacy. This suggests that each factor might have contributed to the successful implementation of the extensive reading program at large scale. Implications and applications of this finding are discussed in this study.

This study aims at defining the concept of OPAC, tracing of research trends and development of it, and clarifying various methods of subject access and patterns of bibliographic searching in OPAC as well as strategies for improving to implement online catalogs. Although OPAC is so far the most user-friendly bibliographic searching method, there are still a lot of issues including online subject access in particular. Therefore a more effective and useful method for computer end-users have to be developed, for instance, improvement of an indexing system, a n.0, pplication of the classification system as a searching tool, a new design and construction of standardized thesaurus, betterment of user interface, introducing of expert system into bibliographic searching, establishment of subject authority file. Those would raise the success-rate of users seeking bibliographic information in the library catalogs. Korean libraries are in very early stage of OPAC implementation so that every efforts and concerns to improve strategies and techniques for subject access to OPAC have been strongly asked.

The study is to assist system developers or designers who are participated in the design of the user-computer interface on online services such as Online Public Access Catalogue and Online Search-ins. To design the optimal user interface, system developers and designers should try to complete the following process orderly: 1) they should know and understand the active and potential user's information seeking behaviors concerning online services in details as possible. 2) they should design the conceptional user model on basis of that knowledge. 3）They should design the logical and hierachical computer model adaptable to the current environment. 4) they should design the display of the computer terminal which is ease to learn and use by the users. 5) finally, they should design the optimal and practical user inter-face on basis of the above 2, 3, and 4.

본 연구는 미국 켄터키 주에 소재한 머레이 주립대(Murray State University)가 제공하고 있는 주제별 맞춤형 정보제공(Library on Blackboard) 시스템의 기능들을 중심으로 현존하는 대학도서관 서비스가 온라인상에서 어떠한 정보기술을 통해 변형되어 제공될 수 있는지를 살펴보았다. 정보기술의 발달로 인하여 미국 대학교육에서 온라인 강의와 원거리 교육의 비중이 점점 늘어나는 추세이다. LMS(Learning Management System)는 새로운 대학 환경변화의 중요한 도구이다. 대학도서관의 정보제공 기능도 대학교육 환경의 변화에 발맞추어 발전해 왔고, 이에 따라 이용자에게 효과적인 서비스를 제공하기 위한 LMS와 연계한 맞춤형 정보검색 시스템을 개발하기에 이르렀다. LMS와 연계한 도서관 서비스는 학생들의 연구형 과제해결을 위한 정보수집에 적합한 검색시스템과 유용한 정보들을 한곳에 모은 가상 분관의 기능을 제공하기에 더욱 사용되고 발전해야 한다. 이 시스템을 더욱 발전시키기 위해서는 Contents Management Systems의 사용과 과목별 접근방식으로 변환이 중요하다.

도서관은 코로나 19와 같은 예기치 못한 위기에 직면하게 되었으며, 이에 대한 대응 전략으로 비대면 온라인서비스를 강화하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 급격하게 변화하는 외부환경 변화와 현재의 위기를 극복하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 통합사이트로 서비스되는 공공도서관 288개관의 홈페이지를 대상으로 자료검색과 전자도서관, 도서관서비스, 문화행사, 열린공간에 대한 운영 현황을 조사하였으며, 분석 및 파악하였다. 이를 기반으로 공공도서관의 온라인서비스가 포스트 코로나 시대에 어떠한 의미를 지니며 시사점은 무엇인지를 파악하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 비대면 문화의 확산에 따른 온라인 자료검색 서비스 이용률 증가, 둘째, 전자도서관의 서비스 확대, 셋째, 비대면, 온라인 서비스 다양화, 넷째, 온라인 문화행사 서비스 확대, 다섯째, 열린공간 서비스 다양화, 여섯째, 출입 기반 무인 대출반납 인공지능 시스템 도입과 일곱째, VR, AR 및 MR을 통한 체험형 문화 지원 서비스 및 교육 콘텐츠 확대를 제안하였다. 향후, 타 관종의 도서관에서 이루어지는 온라인서비스 현황과 코로나 시대의 도서관 서비스 유형과 사례연구를 통하여 앞으로의 도서관 비대면 서비스 방향을 모색하는 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 보인다.

웹 2.0 환경에서 웹 서비스의 활용범위가 점차 확대됨에 따라서 웹 애플리케이션을 신속하고 편리하게 개발할 수 있는 방법이 요구되고 있다. 최근에 이러한 목적으로 도입되고 있는 프레임워크는 범용으로 설계되어 다양한 웹 애플리케이션에 적용되고 있지만 프레임워크를 이용하여 개발된 웹 애플리케이션에 대한 적합한 품질 평가 모델이 제시되지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 프레임워크를 이용하여 사용자 간에 도서 정보를 자유롭게 공유할 수 있는 온라인 서재 시스템을 개발하고, 이를 평가하기 위하여 프레임워크 기반의 웹 애플리케이션에 적합한 품질 평가 모델을 제시한다. 소프트웨어 품질 평가의 대표적인 국제 표준인 ISO/IEC 9126-2를 기반으로 기능성, 사용성, 효율성, 유지보수성, 안정성의 다섯 가지의 품질 특성을 정의하고 프레임워크 기반의 웹 애플리케이션의 품질 특성에 초점을 맞춘 평가 메트릭을 제시함으로써 온라인 서재 시스템에 대한 객관적이고 정량적인 평가를 수행한다.
