We analyzed the mediation effects of weekly frequencies of each meal type taken by one-person households between eating habits such as eating alone and dietary lifestyles of one-person households and healthy eating capability. We also analyzed data from the 2019 Food Consumption Behavior Survey using a sample of 688 one-person households. Factor analysis, latent profile analysis, structural equation model analysis was conducted; direct and indirect effects of independent variables were tested using bootstrap method. The major results were as follows. Frequency of eating alone was about 10 times a week on average; one-person households had home-made meals about 12 times a week, for restaurant meals, 4 times, for delivered/take-out food, 0.39 times, and for other types, 0.44 times. Weekly frequencies of eating alone and meal types taken by one-person households were significantly different among the different socio-demographic groups. Dietary lifestyle was classified into four classes: traditional, health ignorant, food lifestyle ignorant, and balanced. Eating alone and dietary lifestyle had a significant effect on weekly frequency of each meal type. Frequencies of eating alone, balanced dietary lifestyle, and taking home-made meals had a positive direct effect on healthy eating capability, and frequency of taking delivered or take-out food and food consumption ignorant lifestyle had a negative direct effect. Eating alone, balanced and traditional dietary lifestyles had a positive indirect effect through the meal type; however, watching Mug-bang had a negative indirect effect.

And through social network analysis, the most influential contents were derived from the space editing and space composition categories. This means that the residential space is an important part of the design idea that can flexibly respond to changes in the user's life. Based on this study, future research will focus on the concept and design methodology of one-person housing space.

  • This study examines the effects of chronic disease/disability and stress from health on depressive symptoms among one-person households living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province in Korea. This study also investigates the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between 1)having a chronic disease/disability and depressive symptoms as well as 2)stress from health and depressive symptoms. This study used data from an online survey targeting one-person households living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The final sample included 499 one-person households. Using a multiple regression analysis with SPSS 20.0, results showed that having a chronic disease/disability was associated with a higher level of depressive symptoms. In addition, stress from health was associated with a higher level of depressive symptoms. In regard to the roles of social support, economic support and emotional support had a direct negative effect on depressive symptoms. Emotional support had a moderating effect on the relationship between having a chronic disease/disability and depressive symptoms. In addition, emotional support also had a moderating effect on the relationship between stress from health and depressive symptoms. Based on these findings, this study suggests that policy makers should reduce the economic burden from a chronic disease/disability and help one-person households to strengthen their social support network.

  • This paper aims to describe the rapid growth of the one-person households in terms of the socio-economic demographic perspectives during the period of 1995-2005 and to analyze the spatial distribution patterns based on different characteristics of one-person households. The increase in the divorce ratio in the middle-aged, the growth of unmarried people the young generation, and the increase of life expectancy in the old generation are explanatory factors for the rise and diversification of one-person households in Korea. The rapid increase of one-person households is accompanied by a diversification in their age, gender, marital status, education level. Uneven distribution of one-person households depends on their age, level of education and dwelling type. Highly educated young adults residing in their own apartment are generally concentrated in major cities, whereas senior citizen with their own single house who lives alone are mostly in rural area. One-person households of the highly educated young adults are significantly polarized in the light of their the living standards. In particular, metropolitan area or big cities are mixed with those who have their own apartment and are financially capacity and with those who rent in a detached single house. As such, one-person households have considerably heterogeneous characteristics. Therefore, each local government will face different economic and social problems based on which group of one-person households are increasing and where they are concentrated in. To this extent, the local government should have differentiated welfare policy according to its own respect.

  • The cognitive approaches on library and librarianship are being questioned. These are led from what the identity of the librarian is and from what the library is. This revealed that the perception of the library should not be acquired by interpreting its appearances but by interfering its nature. In conclusion, the information service is disclosed virtually as the essence of the library. On realizing the library virtually, even a person could be entitled as the library on the underlying assumption of information service (one-person-library).

  • The one-person producing system is that planning program, arrangements, composition, taking pictures and edition are all done by only one person. In the reality of the producing systems of the broadcasting programs, as the number of the broadcasting stations, which apply one-person producing systems, is gradually increasing, the study on the change is going on. In this study I grasped the merits and demerits of both systems ; multi men producing system and one-person producing system. And then I analyzed the sudden change of the method of the producing programs into one using the 6m digital camera. The merits of producing programs by means of the 6m digital cameras are following ; the mobility of producing programs, a close contact with the source, the enlargement of the diversity of the contents and cutting down expenses. The demerits of it are following ; a lowering of the degree of completion and the unstableness of an image. Nowadays because of the enlargement of the rate of the outsourcing production, the number of the independent production studios rapidly increased. From the viewpoint of cutting down expenses and the diversity of contents, the number of broadcasting programs produced by means of one-person producing broadcasting program system is increasing.
