This study surveys the degree of residents' satisfaction on the current street space to suggest alternatives for the improvement of the street space design in detached house areas. In the results of the survey, we find the following. First, in the result of analysis on age, residential term, having children or not, income level, and type of house ownership, residents are homogeneous in social and economic characteristics. There are similarity in geographical, locational conditions, neighboring facilities, deterioration of residential house, and the time of residential formation among residential areas. Second, satisfactory determinants of residents on street space according to street types, are maintenance, protection of privacy, and parking space. Third, satisfactory determinants of residents on street hierarchy is the inner circulation road while unsatisfactory one is the inner roads. Fourth, age, residential term and type of house ownership are significant factors influencing residents' satisfaction. Factors influencing satisfaction on street space are also affecting total satisfaction and factors associated with street environment are perceived more important ones than factors associated with street activities. Thus we find the degrees of satisfaction for residents on street type and street hierarchy are different despite that general characteristics of residents are similar. We also find residents consider street noise and maintenance as critical factor among physical factors of street space.

What is Art on the street? Is it a series of artworks or activities performed on the street? In other words, does "art on the street" refer to "Street Art" such as street performance, happening, graffiti, or wall-painting, or does it refer to "Street Furniture" which is related to "City Design" or "Environmental Design"? In a formal sense, they all belong to Art on the street. However, in this paper, I would like to use Art on the street in an even broader sense. To me, " the street" is a metaphor of "environment." Thus Art on the street is the art related to environment; it is an environment art. Art on the street attests the expansion of the concept of art and shows a new possibility of contemporary art. It is a promising new concept of art, but we cannot ignore the misapplication of the concept that we can find at the crossroad of Art on the street and "city beautification." Of course, Art on the street can and sometimes needs to beautify the city. However we still need to ask how to contribute to the city beautification with Art on the street and how to validate such a practice. City space is, most of all, a space that people live in. It sounds a cliche, but it is worth repeating to better understand Art on the street. When we consider the city space in terms of its system or organization, we often overlook that it is the space in which people live, and which people create. Art on the street concerns not the city itself, but the space in which people live and make relations for each other. Without taking this into account, Art on the street becomes a mere means to' embellish' the city and falls prey to the logic of capital. In this paper, I critically reviewed the problems such as City Development, Spectacularization, City Environmental Design, Public Interest and City Museum. I intended to emphasize that Art on the street is produced in the cultural space of city, but it also tends to break the mold of the cultural space and seeks a new possibility. Some might argue that my claims are unrealistic because Art on the street is not an idea but a practice. While humbly accepting the objection, I hope my critical suggestions guide a more productive direction to continue our discussions of Art on the street.

In Korea, the top priority of the exterior space in the urban commercial street has been put on the road and parking for cars, not on the street for pedestrians, because of the lack of institutional urban planning, the land use of high density, the pursuit of maximum commercial profit, etc. Also, it is true that the form and facade of the street buildings which form the characteristics of the commercial street are regarded as the consumption-stimulating tool and, subsequently, are symbolized for commercial profit. This study starts from the recognition of reality, and, with the perspective of general plan for urban exterior space, tries to improve the environmental design of street space. Also, this study searches the ways to enhance the cultural, art, aesthetic and functional values of a city, as well as the ways to promote commercial activities and to perform commercial symbolism and pedestrian functions. This study aims at exploring the importance of street environmental design and the information of environmental design, so that the problems of current street environment, which generates the disorder and chaos of information, may be solved. Also, this study aims at promoting the continuous development for the future street environmental design and design plan.

The modern public facility has been changed by complexity and diversity. It pursues public facility applying safety and amenity based on universal design. Among public facilities, the importance of street furniture is emphasized currently due to offer for pedestrians rest ares in a city street. However, it is very difficult for pedestrians to use street furniture conveniently and safely, because on the planning street furniture has not been considered thoroughly in aspects of universal design. The Purpose of this study is to evaluate street furniture in aspects of universal design. Also, this study suggests the Improvement plan for considering users of street furnitures. The method of this study is literature review and questionnaire survey. Firstly, we collected the data related to public facility and universal design, analyzed the data. Secondly, the items of questionnaire survey deduced based on analyzed data of literature review. Thirdly, we analyzed the result of questionnaire survey and evaluate the street furniture. Lastly, We discussed the solution to improve the present street furniture for a rest through the results and overseas cases. It has contributed in the improvement plan of street furniture thanks to deal with the evaluation of street furniture for pedestrians in aspects of universal design.

The vitality of a main street is essential to get the urbanity of the urban residential estates. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the vitality of a main street and street land uses in the residential estate. The outcomes of this study are as follows: first, the street land uses have influence on the vitality of a main street; the main streets with the small commercial and business facilities are more vitalized than those with the boundary wall of the residential building or the buffer zone. Second, the number of shops in street has positive influence on the vitality of a main street. Third, the vitality of a main street is effected by the entrance of apartment site.

캡콤은 스트리트 파이터의 30주년을 맞아 "STREET FIGHTER 30th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION"을 출시하였으며, 이 제품은 스트리트 파이터 시리즈의 12편이 수록된 합본이다. 이를 통해 스트리트 파이터 시리즈가 재조명되는 계기가 되었다. 게임음악적인 측면에서 보았을 때 스트리트 파이터 4와 스트리트 파이터 5는 스트리트 파이터 2의 멜로디를 거의 그대로 사용하였다. 이는 스트리트 파이터 2의 각 캐릭터별 주제음악이 후속작에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 그러므로 원조에 해당하는 스트리트 파이터 2 즉 주인공인 류의 주제음악을 분석하는 것은 게임음악 작곡가에게 많은 영감을 줄 것이라 기대한다. 스트리트 파이터의 시리즈를 연구한 결과 형식과 장르의 차이점이 크게 두드러졌다.

This study aims to evaluate the cultural street and to find ways to revitalize a culture street. To achieve this, the study relied on empirical study method and the descriptive method; additionally, present condition survey was performed with a user interview. As a result, the item of 'night visit' shows the highest mean and the item of 'convenience of walking' follows. It means that this street has such a good condition in the convenience and accessibility of physical environment that it gives pedestrians pleasure like night activity and satisfying their curiosity. 5 lowest items of inquiry, however, are all about regional history and origin. It means that this cultural street did not reflect the history and embody the original form of the street. Also, this study proposes 4 type of street; a street with contents, a street with sequence, a street for pedestrians, and a street with identity.

In today's fashion Street is a birthplace of new generation fashion and Street Fashion have frequently influenced on high fashion. From this view point this study is a meaningful approach to forecast future fashion trend by examining the street style of youth who are regarded as Street Fashion leaders. The purpose of this study is to examine the Youth Fashion style in early 1990s and to pro-vide a reference to fashion designer and mer-chandiser in trend forecasting and product plan-ning. This study is focused on 1990s Youth Fashion style through the historical Street Fashion : 1950s Teddy boys & Mods 1960s Hippies & Skinhead and 1970s Punk. There were mainly two popular Street Fashion phenomena in early 1990s. There were mainly two popular Street Fashion phenomena in early 1990s. One is grunge fashion created by new gener-ation in opposition to existing generation society and impacting on hish fashion leaders. The other is Remix style that is mixed : sub culture fashion originated by young group in 1950-1970s with 1990s sensitivity. Both fashion styles origionated and led by youth of street have influenced on famous high fashion designeres as well as the general public. Street Fashion will continue to play an import-ant role in future fashion and more study and interest on Street Fashion should be taken by fashion forecaster and related.

In order to improve the atmosphere within Historic and Culturally Symbolic Street- DongChun-Dang street which represents the historical characteristics of Daejeon- this study aims to derive improvement methods by analyzing preceding studies, identify problems and offer the directions that could make historic cultural street, and propose the guidelines could apply to new district development at historic cultural area. The research results are as follows : First, method for improvement of historic cultural street is not fragmentary but integrated. Second, we suggested plans for improvement of DongChun-Dang street. Third, to make historic cultural images of streets, it is considered that guidelines include volumes, colors of surrounding buildings and designs of street furnitures have to be provided on the new urban or district development at historic cultural area.

This paper presents study on the electric potential distribution when have a short in street lamp. In order to measure electric potential testing ground is built in. A experiment is conducted to simulate dry and submerged situation of street lamp. The street lamp is leaked by artificial means. And electric potential is measured in grounded street lamp and street lamp alone. The results show that touch voltage of grounded street lamp is possible more high than street lamp alone. And the electric shock hazard is high because high electric potential is distributed near submerged street lamp. Also if street lamp is submerged ground is not useful to decrease electric shock hazard.
