This paper presents an on-line modeling method approach for the machine condition. the machine condition is continuously monitored with a sensor such as, a vibration, a current, an acoustic emission (AE) sensor. In this study, neural network modeling by radial basis function is designed for analysis a prediction error. An on-line learning algorithm is designed using the RLS(recursive least square) estimation and the existing clustering method of Kohonen neural network. Experimental results show that the proposed RBNN modeling is suitable for predicting simulated data.
In this paper, we presents the algorithm which is to recognize the traffic sign on the road the traffic signal in a video image for autonomous navigation. First, the rocognition of traffic sign on the road can be detected using boundary point estimation form some scan-lines within the lane deducted. For this algorithm, index matrix method is used to detemine what sign is. Then, the traffic signal recognition is performed by usign the window minified by several scan-lines which position may be expected. For this algoritm, line profile concept is adopted.
This paper presents adaptive add-on control algorithms for theconventional mode of operation of MEMS z-axis gyroscopes. This scheme is realized by adding an outer loop to a conventional force-balancing scheme that includes a parameter estimation algorithm. The parameter adaptation algorithm estimates the angular rate, identifies and compensates the quadrature error, and may permit on-line automatic mode tuning. The convergence and resolution analysis show that the proposed adaptive add-on control scheme prevents the angular rate estimate from being contaminated by the quadrature error, while keeping ideal resolution performance of a conventional force-balancing scheme.
In the hot rolling process, the RF AGC (Roll Force Auto Gauge Control) is used to control the roll gap to reduce the variation of rolling force caused by the roll eccentricity and the variation of material thickness. However the effect of the roll eccentricity cannot be distinguished. To eliminate the effect of the roll eccentricity, the roll eccentricity estimation is needed to supplement some drawbacks of RF AGC. In this paper, an ALE(Adaptive Line Enhancer) that extracts the rolling force variation due to the roll eccentricity is suggested. We also provide an algorithm that enhances the convergence time of roll eccentricity estimation. The performance improvement of the Suggested algorithm is shown via simulations.
In this paper, an on-line noise coherence estimation algorithm for binaural speech enhancement system is proposed. A number of noise Power Spectral Density (PSD) estimation algorithms based on the noise coherence between two microphones have been proposed to improve the speech enhancement performance. In the conventional algorithms, the noise coherence was characterized using a real-valued analytic model. However, unlike the analytic model, the noise coherence between the two microphones is time-varying in real environments. Thus, in this paper, the noise coherence is updated in accordance with the variation of the acoustic environment to track the realistic noise coherence. The noise coherence can be updated only during the absence of speech, and the simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm over the conventional algorithms based on the analytic model.
One of the most fundamental problems in business is to evaluate the value of each product. The difficulty is that the profit of one product not only comes from its own sales, but also its influence on the sales of other products, i.e., the "cross-selling effect". This study integrates a measure for cross selling and an algorithm for profit estimation. Sales transaction data and post sales survey data from on-line and off-line shopping mall is used to show the effectiveness of the method against other heuristic for profit estimation based on product-specific profitability. We show that with the use of the new method we are able to identify the cross-selling potential of each product and use the information for better product selection.
We present a dynamic Bayesian network (DBN) model of a generalized class of nonstationary birth-death processes. The model includes birth and death rate parameters that are randomly selected from a known discrete set of values. We present an on-line algorithm to obtain optimal estimates of the parameters. We provide a simulation of real-time characterization of load traffic estimation using our DBN approach.
In this paper, we propose real time transient stability assessment and energy margin estimation using fuzzy approximate reasoning. The proposed method used rotor angle, kinetic energy and acceleration power of generators at clearing time as fuzzy input. In order to calculate energy margin in transient energy function (TEF), we obtained controlling unstable equilibrium point (UEP) using mode of disturbance procedure (MOD). The proposed algorithm is tested on 4-machine, 6-bus, 7-line power system to prove of effectiveness.
This paper presents a new overall system for state-of-available-power (SoAP) prediction for a lithium-ion battery pack. The essential part of this method is based on an adaptive network architecture which utilizes both fuzzy model (FIS) and artificial neural network (ANN) into the framework of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). While battery aging proceeds, the system is capable of delivering accurate power prediction not only for room temperature, but also at lower temperatures at which power prediction is most challenging. Due to design property of ANN, the network parameters are adapted on-line to the current battery states (state-of-charge (SoC), state-of-health (SoH), temperature). SoC is required as an input parameter to SoAP module and high accuracy is crucial for a reliable on-line adaptation. Therefore, a reasonable way to determine the battery state variables is proposed applying a combination of several partly different algorithms. Among other SoC boundary estimation methods, robust extended Kalman filter (REKF) for recalibration of amp hour counters was implemented. ANFIS then achieves the SoAP estimation by means of time forward voltage prognosis (TFVP) before a power pulse occurs. The trade-off between computational cost of batch-learning and accuracy during on-line adaptation was optimized resulting in a real-time system with TFVP absolute error less than 1%. The verification was performed on a software-in-the-loop test bench setup using a 53 Ah lithium-ion cell.
In this paper, we will present a container auto-landing system, the system use the stereo camera to measure the container depth information. And the container region can be detected by using its hough line feature. In the line feature detection algorithm, we will detect the parallel lines and perpendicular lines which compose the rectangle region. Among all the candidate regions, we can select the region with the same aspect-ratio to the container. The region will be the detected container region. After having the object on both left and right images, we can estimate the distance from camera to object and container dimension. Then all the detect dimension information and depth inform will be applied to reconstruct the virtual environment of crane which will be introduce in this paper. Through the simulation result, we can know that, the container detection rate achieve to 97% with simple background. And the estimation algorithm can get a more accuracy result with a far distance than the near distance.
