1. All Essential oils have antibacterial properties. 2. Essential oils reduce contamination. 3. Most of essential oils acts as an antofungal, antiviral, antiparasitic, antimicrobial agent and antioxidants. 4. They contain anions, ozone, and oxygenating molecules. 5. It is belueved that they take chemicals and metallices out of the air by breaking the molecular chain. 6. In France, it was reported that various essential oils prevent a side effect of radiation. 7. The essential oils travel via the olfactory nerve stimulating a emotional and phychological response that is believed to be responsible for releasing genetic blue priting from the cells thus releasing emotional trauma.

As benign tumor originating in Schwann cells of nerve sheath, Schwannoma can rise in any site involving cranial nerve, sympathetic nerves, peripheral nerves excepting optic nerves and olfactory nerves. Schwannoma rarely occurs in trachea, and although can appear in any part, most often seen in the lower third of the trachea. Here, we reported a case of intra-tracheal schwannoma misdiagnosed and treated as bronchial asthma, later identified and successfully excised through an external approach.

산업의 발전과 함께 최근 카드뮴 중독이 사회적 문제가 되고 있다. 카드뮴 중독은 특히 건전지 제조공장, 카드뮴 광산 등에서 잘 발생하며 카드뮴 분진의 흡입, 음식물내 카드뮴 복합물의 섭취 등에 의해 유발된다. 중독증상으로는 폐부종 및 섬유화, 신부전증, 폐부전증, 고혈압, 생식선 위축, 골연화증, 무취증, itai-itati 질환등을 일으키는 것으로 알려져 있으나 무취증에 대한 정확한 발생기전은 밝혀져 있지 않다. 이에 저자들은 카드뮴 중독을 유발시키기 위하여 흰쥐에 $CaCl_2$ 11.2 mg/kg을 3주일간 매일 피하주사한 후 3주 후에 두개골을 제거하고 후구를 절취한 후 투과전자현미경으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 사구체 주위 부위에 있는 사구체 주위 세포의 세포돌기와 신경축삭에 퇴행성 변화가 발생하였다. 2. 외상망 부위와 승모세포, 과랍세포 등에서는 뚜렷한 변화를 발견할 수 없었다.

본 연구는 백서후각기의 발생과정을 세포조직학적으로 규명보고하는 바이며 사용된 stage는 stage 20부터 32까지는 Christe(1964)의것을 인용하였으며 그 외에 명시된 stage 33,34, 35 는 저자가 편의상 구분하였다. 재료는 백서 5 필을 온실서 충분한 영양으로 사육후 임신시켜 요구되는 배를 stage 별로 얻어 Bouin's solution 에 고정시켜 paraffin법을 따랐으며 5-7$\mu$의 두께로 절편을 만들어 Delafield's hematoxylin, eosin, thionin 에 염색하였다. Stage 별 후각기의 발생은 state 20 에 후순, state 22에 후와 및 조비기(Jacobson's organ), stage23A에 구비강막(oro-nasal membrane), state 23 B 에 수신경섬유 와 원시내비공, stage 24 에 조비기신경섬유, stage 27에는 골갑개상피에 후세포와 호흡상피상에 섬유 또한 악골갑개상피에서 seromucinous 선들이 최초로 나타났다. 본 실험결과 백서후각기의 형성과정은 인체와 생쥐( mouse) 에서와 유사하나 조비기의 성장, 비갑개의수, 및 후역의 범위에 있어서는 극히 차가 심한 것같다.

Coumarin is a phenolic compound that mainly affects the liver due to its metabolization into a toxic compound. The deterrent and ovicidal activities of coumarin in insect models such as Drosophila melanogaster have been reported. Here we explore the molecular mechanisms by which these insects protect themselves and their eggs from this toxic plant metabolite. Coumarin was fatal to the flies in a dosage-dependent manner. However, coumarin feeding could be inhibited through activation of the aversive gustatory receptor neurons (GRNs), but not the olfactory receptor neurons. Furthermore, three gustatory receptors, GR33a, GR66a, and GR93a, functioned together in coumarin detection by the proboscis. However, GR33a, but not GR66a and GR93a, was required to avoid coumarin during oviposition, with a choice of the same substrates provided as in binary food choice assay. Taken together, these findings suggest that anti-feeding activity and oviposition to avoid coumarin occur via separate mechanisms.

본 논문은 $0.35{\mu}m$ 2중 폴리 CMOS 공정을 이용하여 프리만 신경회로 모델의 기본 요소가 되는 입력 취합 블록과 필드 앤드 홀드 방식의 2차 저역 통과 필터의 구현 및 부궤환과 비대칭 트랜스 콘덕터로 이루어지는 비선형 함수 블록을 설계하고 SPICE 회로 모의실험을 통해 결과를 확인하였다.

Occupational exposure to cadmium (Cd) can result in brain disorders and olfactory dysfunction is the most well-known symptom. Recently Cd has been shown to induce apoptosis by activating MAPKs in various cell types. However, intracellular signaling pathways of Cd-induced cytotoxicity in neuronal cells is not known well. Thus, in the present study, we studied role of JNK and its well-known downstream transcription factor, c-JUN, in Cd-induced neuronal cell death. (omitted)

It has been common since ancient times to use fashion accessories to make a positive impression on others and develop personal brands. For this manuscript, I've designed a range of personalized electronic sounds and perfume accessories that use personalized scents and sounds to create memorable experiences. These have built-in auditory and olfactory actuators that can generate unique sound and fragrance signatures from the wearer and the other party. Based on the design explorations, I also discussed the issues of design and implementation of personalized electronic sound and fragrance accessories, as well as issues and additional business opportunities for the use of these personalized electronic sound and odor accessories in everyday life.

A method of multimedia information data acquisition based on fuzzy rules is proposed, where the multimedia means the five senses of a human being. Observed information is characterized by VAGOT(visual, acoustic, gustatory, olfactory and tactile) time series data and the goal is to extract an appropriate subset of the VAGOT data based on a given instruction. Fuzzy rules based on visual and acoustic information are used to identify the appropriate time interval on the fireworks multimedia information.

A lot of studies on the summary measures of predictive strength of categorical response models consider the likelihood ratio index (LRI), also known as the McFadden-R², a better option than many other measures. We propose a simple modification of the LRI that adjusts for the effect of the number of response categories on the measure and that also rescales its values, mimicking an underlying latent measure. The modified measure is applicable to both binary and ordinal response models fitted by maximum likelihood. Results from simulation studies and a real data example on the olfactory perception of boar taint show that the proposed measure outperforms most of the widely used goodness-of-fit measures for binary and ordinal models. The proposed R² interestingly proves quite invariant to an increasing number of response categories of an ordinal model.
