직무요구와 직무자원이 병원행정직 간호사의 소진과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Demand and Job Resources on Burnout and Work Engagement of Hospital Nurse Administrators)

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the degree of job demand, job resources, burnout, and the organizational commitment of administrative nurses based on the job demands-resources model. Further, it seeks to confirm the influencing factors affecting nurses' burnout and organizational commitment. Methods: The participants were 188 administrative nurses working at hospitals (one tertiary hospital and six general hospitals) located in D City. The collected data were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The influential factors of burnout were role conflict (β=.50), job demand (β=.18), job position (β=-.17, team leaders and above), and social support (β=-.15). The regression model had an explanatory power of 59%. The influential factors of organizational commitment were appropriate rewards (β=.59), job position (β=.15, team leader or above), working department (β=.14, referral center and health screening administration department), and social support (β=.18). The regression model had an explanatory power of 59.5%. Conclusion: The results support the job demands-resources model, and interventions should be developed to decrease job demand and provide sufficient job resources.

대학생의 진로타협과 진로관련 변인들의 관계 탐색 (A Search of Relationship of Career Compromise and Career Related Variables of University Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 진로타협이 진로관련 변인들과 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 278명을 대상으로 진로타협, 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대, 직업희망, 진로동기, 진로관여행동의 수준을 측정하는 설문을 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0을 활용하여 신뢰도 분석, 기초 통계 분석, 상관 분석, 회귀 분석을 실시하였고 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대 및 직업희망이 높을수록 진로타협 수준은 낮아졌으며, 그 상대적 영향력은 직업희망이 가장 컸다. 또한 진로타협 수준이 높을수록 진로동기와 진로관여행동이 모두 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 우리나라 대학생들의 진로타협은 진로관련 요인들과 부정적인 영향을 주고받고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 진로상담자는 진로지도 및 상담 시 대학생들이 진로타협 상황에 효율적으로 대처할 수 있도록 도울 필요가 있다는 점을 밝혔다는 데 의의가 있다.

병원 조직의 상사리더십 유형이 조직 유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 직종 및 직급 수준에 따른 차이를 중심으로 (The Study on the Effects of Leadership Types in Hospital Organization on Organization Effectiveness: Focused on Medical and Non-Medical, Middle manager and operator)

  • Objective: In this study, in order to investigate the relationship between leadership type and job satisfaction, the types of leadership in medical institutions are divided into transformational leadership, servant leadership and authentic leadership. In addition medical staff and non-medical staff are classified according to their job characteristics, and middle managers and operators are classified according to position. Methods: For this purpose, 589 questionnaires were applied to the medical institutions in Seoul and Gyunggi-do, and empirically analyzed with multiple regression. Results: The results of this study are first, among gender, medical or non-medical staff, position and career experience, men, non-medical staffs, and middle managers showed higher leadership, job engagement, and job satisfaction. Second, servant leadership and authentic leadership have significant positive relationships with job engagement. In the case of medical staff, only servant leadership has a positive effect on job engagement, while in the case of non-medical staff, both servant leadership and authentic leadership have significant influence on job engagement. Job satisfaction was found to have a statistically significant effect of servant leadership and authentic leadership in medical staff and non-medical staff. Third, in the case of middle managers, servant leadership showed a statistically significant effect only on job satisfaction, while servant leadership and authentic leadership had statistically significant effects on job engagement and job satisfaction of operators. Conclusions: This study suggests the possibility and applicability of authentic leadership in addition to transformational leadership and servant leadership in hospital organizations. Also, by identifying differences in the effects on organizational effectiveness, it is also suggested the need for research on identifying leadership factors that reflect strictly distinctive job characteristics.

작업치료에서 몰입경험 이해를 위한 이론적 고찰 (Theory Review for Understanding Flow Experience in Occupational Therapy)

  • 서론 : 본 연구는 대상자의 신체기능과 활동 및 참여를 위해 다양한 치료적 중재를 실시하는 작업치료 분야에 몰입경험 이론의 소개를 목적으로 한다. 본론 : 작업치료 영역에서의 몰입경험 이해를 위해 국내·외 문헌고찰을 통한 몰입경험의 개념과 특징, 단계와 뇌과학적 특성, 측정방법 및 관련 연구들을 정리하였다. 작업치료에서 대상자의 몰입경험은 '시간이 흐르는 것을 잊으면서 하고 있는 치료 활동에 완전하게 빠져드는 심리적 상태'로 정의할 수 있다. 대상자는 과제에 대한 명확한 목표를 인식하며, 도전과 기술 수준이 높은 상태로 균형을 이룰 때에 몰입을 경험하게 된다. 선행 연구에서 몰입을 경험한 대상자는 주의 및 집중, 집행 기능, 상지기능, 일상생활활동 수행 증진과 긍정적인 경험에 긍정적 변화가 있음을 확인하였다. 결론 : 국내 작업치료 영역에서 다양한 치료적 중재에 대상자의 몰입경험이 고려된다면 치료 결과의 효과는 보다 촉진될 것이라 생각되어진다.

Enabling Effective Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Interventions

  • Background: The design, implementation, and evaluation are three important stages of occupational safety and health (OSH) interventions. Historically, there has been a tendency to prioritize implementation, often neglecting detailed design and rigorous outcome evaluation. Currently, much has changed, and contemporary approaches recognize the interdependence of these stages, considering them integral to the success of any intervention. This work presents a comprehensive procedure for implementing interventions, not only to ensure short-term effectiveness but also their long-term sustainability through continuous monitoring. The focus is on a national OSH project introducing a near-miss management system (NMS) in Italy. Methods: Initial meetings were convened among project partners, complemented by interviews with diverse stakeholders, to plan implementation steps and test the NMS. Tailored questionnaires were designed for diverse stakeholder groups - initial promoters, company managers and employers, and employees - facilitating targeted implementation, and three case studies were started in Italian regions to assess the structured implementation, involving intervention promoters and collaborating companies. Results: The primary outcome is the development of practical tools, specifically three questionnaires, which are considered valuable for establishing an effective human-centered implementation strategy, meticulously designed to facilitate ongoing monitoring of processes and continual enhancement of instruments intended for NMS integration within companies. Conclusions: This work lays the foundation for successful NMS implementation in Italy and, although the outlined procedure had specific objectives, it also provides valuable insights applicable in enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of interventions across diverse contexts. It underscores the importance of comprehensive planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous evaluation in achieving lasting OSH interventions.

장애인활동지원사의 직무스트레스와 자기효능감이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 연구: 직무몰입 매개효과 (The Effect of Job Stress and Self-Efficacy on the Turnover Intention of Disability Assistance Workers:Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Job Engagement)

  • 본 연구는 장애인활동지원사의 직무스트레스와 자기효능감이 이직의도에 영향을 미치고 직무몰입이 매개효과가 있는지를 통해 장애인활동지원사의 위기와 역경을 극복할 수 있는 문제해결에 기여함을 목적으로 한다. 이에 서울.경기 장애인활동지원사업 수행기관에서 재직 중인 활동지원사 290명을 대상으로 2019.5.1.-6.30.까지 설문조사하여 SPSS 24.0 통계프로그램으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인활동지원사의 직무스트레스와 자기효능감이 직무몰입에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 관계갈등이 높을수록, 직장문화에 대한 부적응이 심할수록 직무몰입에 악영향을 미치고 정서적지지, 평가적지지, 정보적지지가 높을수록 직무에 몰입하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직무스트레스와 자기효능감이 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 관계갈등이 많을수록, 직장이 불안정할수록 직장문화에 적응이 힘들수록 이직의도는 더 많은 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 직무스트레스와 이직의도와의 관계에서 직무몰입은 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째 자기효능감은 이직의도와의 관계에서 직무몰입은 매개역할을 하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 장애인활동지원사의 직무스트레스 감소와 직무몰입을 향상시키며 이직의도를 줄이기 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

작업치료중재과정모델의 적용: 감각통합기능장애 아동 사례 (Application of Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model: A Case of Child With Sensory Integration Dysfunction)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 한 아동을 대상으로 이루어진 작업치료중재서비스 안에서 이루어진 OTIPM의 적용 사례를 소개하고, 그 OTIPM에 기반한 임상적 추론과정과 재평가의 유익함과 시사점을 고찰하는 데 그 의의가 있다. 연구방법 : 대상 아동에 대한 작업치료중재서비스 안에서 OTIPM이 적용된 구체적 실행과정을 네 개의 주요부분으로 구분하여 기술하였다. 1) 클라이언트 중심의 수행문맥 확립; 2) 기초선 확립 및 원인해석(초기평가); 3) 중재 계획 및 실행; 4) 중재효과 확인(재평가). 수행 문맥은 보호자와의 면담을 통해 확립하였으며 초기평가 및 재평가에서 사용된 평가도구는 임상관찰 및 일본감각력평가(JSI-R), 덴버발달검사(DDST-2), 사회성숙도, 녹스학령전기놀이 척도(KPPS-R), 과제수행평가이다. 과제수행평가에서는 작업치료 실행 체계(Occupational Therapy Process Framework)에 의거한 수행기술 즉, 운동, 처리, 및 사회적 상호작용기술들을 평가하였으며, 표준화 된 수행기술검사인 운동처리기술검사(Assessment of Motor and Process Skill)와 사회기술평가(Evaluation of Social Participation)의 평가 체계를 사용하였다. 작업치료중재는 회복적모델의 감각통합치료활동과, 교육적모델의 보호자교육과, 습득적모델의 작업수행기술훈련이 계획되었으며, 일주일에 2회씩 총 4개월간 진행되었다. 결과 : 재평가 결과 사회연령과 사회성지수가 대상 아동의 연령에 맞게 향상되고, 전반적인 발달수준이 약 2년가량 향상되며, 전체적인 놀이수준 또한 13개월 향상되었다. 작업에 기반을 두어 설정되었던 중재 목표가 성취되었다. 아동의 보호자는 아동의 작업수행과 작업치료서비스에 대한 만족을 서술적으로 보고하였다. 결론 : 본 사례에서 작업치료사는 OTIPM에 기반하여 포괄적인 수행문맥을 확립하고 클라이언트 중심의 작업에 기반한 중재를 제공할 수 있었다. 임상적 추론을 통해 수행의 어려움의 원인을 보다 명확히 파악하여 수행의 하위요소뿐만 아니라 수행 전반의 향상을 이끌어내는 치료를 제공할 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 OTIPM에서 정의한 '클라이언트 무리'의 개념을 적용하여 클라이언트의 만족도를 이끌어내는 중재도 계획할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해, OTIPM이 클라이언트 중심의 작업수행의 성취도와 만족도 모두를 고려한 중재과정을 지향함으로써 '구체적인 작업참여의 포괄적인 향상'을 이끌어내는 데 유익한 작업치료중재과정모델임을 확인 할 수 있다.

Characteristics of Work-related Fatal Injuries Among Aged Workers in Republic of Korea

  • Objectives: The present paper aimed to examine whether an aging workforce is associated with an increase in work-related fatal injuries and to explore the underlying reasons for this potential increase. Material and methods: Aged workers were defined as those who were at least 55 years old. Work-related fatalities were assessed in aged and young workers who were registered with the workers' compensation system in 2021 in the Republic of Korea. Total waged workers, based on raw data from the Local Area Labor Force Survey in 2021, were used as the denominator to estimate the work-related fatality rates. Results: Most work-related fatalities in the aged workers occurred among individuals working in the "construction sector" (58.9%), those with "elementary occupations (unskilled workers)" (46.1%), and those with the employment status of "daily worker" (60.8%). The estimated incidence (0.973/10,000) of work-related fatalities among aged workers was about four times higher than that (0.239/10,000) among younger workers. "Falling," "collision," "struck by an object," and "trip and slip" were more frequent types of work-related fatalities among aged workers relative to young workers. The category of "buildings, structures, and surfaces" was a more frequent cause of work-related fatalities among aged workers than among young workers. Conclusions: Aged workers had a higher incidence of work-related fatalities than young workers. Frequent engagement in precarious employment and jobs, coupled with the greater physical vulnerability of aged workers, were likely causes of their higher level of work-related fatal injuries.

Associations Between Work Characteristics, Engaged Well-Being at Work, and Job Attitudes - Findings from a Longitudinal German Study

  • Objective: The Job Demand & Resources model suggests work characteristics are related to mental well-being and work engagement. Previous work describes the development of a combined construct 'engaged well-being at work' (EWB). To what extent changes in measures of this construct are responsive to changes in job demands and resources or associated with changes in job-related attitudes has not been established. Methods: Longitudinal employee-level data from three waves (German Linked Personnel Panel) were used. Logistic and linear fixed effects regression analyses explored longitudinal associations between changes in EWB for participants over a three-year period with changes in job demands and resources and job-related attitudes (job commitment, satisfaction, and turnover intentions). Results: While job resources were associated with increased odds for a change into a healthier and/or more engaged category of EWB, job demands reduced them. Job resources were more strongly related to higher EWB (ORrange = 1.22 - 1.61) than job demands (ORrange = 0.79 - 0.96). Especially psychological job demands showed negative associations with improved EWB (OR = 0.79). A change from the least desirable category 'disengaged strain' to any other category of EWB was associated with greater odds by up to 20.6 % for increased commitment and job satisfaction and lower odds for turnover intentions. Discussion: Improving work characteristics, especially job resources, could increase employees' EWB, emphasizing the importance of job characteristics for a healthy workplace. Because EWB seems to be associated with job attitudes, an improvement of this indicator would be relevant for employees and employers.

Process Evaluation of a Mobile Weight Loss Intervention for Truck Drivers

  • Background: In a cluster-randomized trial, the Safety and Health Involvement For Truck drivers intervention produced statistically significant and medically meaningful weight loss at 6 months (-3.31 kg between-group difference). The current manuscript evaluates the relative impact of intervention components on study outcomes among participants in the intervention condition who reported for a post-intervention health assessment (n = 134) to encourage the adoption of effective tactics and inform future replications, tailoring, and enhancements. Methods: The Safety and Health Involvement For Truck drivers intervention was implemented in a Web-based computer and smartphone-accessible format and included a group weight loss competition and body weight and behavioral self-monitoring with feedback, computer-based training, and motivational interviewing. Indices were calculated to reflect engagement patterns for these components, and generalized linear models quantified predictive relationships between participation in intervention components and outcomes. Results: Participants who completed the full program-defined dose of the intervention had significantly greater weight loss than those who did not. Behavioral self-monitoring, computer-based training, and health coaching were significant predictors of dietary changes, whereas behavioral and body weight self-monitoring was the only significant predictor of changes in physical activity. Behavioral and body weight self-monitoring was the strongest predictor of weight loss. Conclusion: Web-based self-monitoring of body weight and health behaviors was a particularly impactful tactic in our mobile health intervention. Findings advance the science of behavior change in mobile health intervention delivery and inform the development of health programs for dispersed populations.
