객체지향 환경에서 소프트웨어 생산성 향상을 위한 프레임워크 모델 (Framework Model for Software Productivity Enhancement In Object-Oriented Environment)

  • 최근 소프트웨어 개발에 적용하기 시작한 객체지향 방법(OOM:Object-Oriented Method)은 독립적인 소프트웨어의 재사용을 통한 개발 비용과 시간의 단축을 강조하고 있다. 그러나 개발 기술에 대한 지식 부족과 확장성 및 성능을 배제한 설계로 많은 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 개발 생명주기에서 소프트웨어 생산성 향상을 위한 효율적인 객체지향 모델링 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안 방법은 Use Case 모델링, 분석 모델링, 그리고 설계 모델링 방법들을 포함하고 있다. 제안한 프레임워크 모델은 다음과 같은 특징이 있다. 첫째, 효율적인 객체지향 표준 개발모델 제안, 둘째, 소프트웨어 개발 및 유지보수 비용의 절감, 셋째, 신기숱 적용에 따른 프로젝트의 불확실한 문제 해결 등이다.

EER 모델을 이용한 Java Object 모델링과 Object 파서의 구현 (Java Object Modeling Using EER Model and the Implementation of Object Parser)

  • The modeling components in the object-oriented paradigm are based on the object, not the structured function or procedure. That is, in the past, when one wanted to solve problems, he would describe the solution procedure. However, the object-oriented paradigm includes the concepts that solve problems through interaction between objects. The object-oriented model is constructed by describing the relationship between object to represent the real world. As in object-oriented model the relationships between objects increase, the control of objects caused by their insertions, deletions, and modifications comes to be very complex and difficult. Because the loss of the referential integrity happens and the object reusability is reduced. For these reasons, the necessity of the control of objects and the visualization of the relationships between them is required. In order that we design a database necessary to implement Object Browser that has functionalities to visualize Java objects and to perform the query processing in Java object modeling, in this paper we show the processes for EER modeling on Java object and its transformation into relational database schema. In addition we implement Java Object Parser that parses Java object and inserts the parsed results into the implemented database.

광대역 통신망 시뮬레이션을 위한 객체지향 모델링 (Object-oriented Modeling for Broadband Network Simulation)

  • Broadband network based on the Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM) concept are becoming the target technology for the emerging Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network(B-ISDN). Since B-ISDN is very complex and requites a great amount of investment, optimum design and performance analysis of such systems are very important. Simulation can be widely used to analyze and examine the broadband network behavior. However, for the complicated system like broadband networks it is extremely difficult and time-consuming to develop a complete model for simulation. In this paper, an object-oriented modeling approach for the broadband network simulation is presented for the effective and efficient modeling. Object-oriented approaches can provide a good structuring capability for complicated simulation models and facilitate the development of reusable and extensible simulation models. We have developed an object-oriented model which consists of object model and behavior model. In the object mode., the components of the broadband network and both constant bit rate(CBR) and variable bit rate(VBR) traffic types of call level, burst level, and cell level are modeled as object classes. In the behavior model, the dynamic features for each object class are represented using the state transition diagram. It has been shown by illustration that objectoriented modeling is an effective tool for modeling the complicated B-ISDN.

  • Object-oriented paradigm has required the fundamental changes in the developers' practice and orientation. However. the relevant literature has not still provided the solid practical methodology but created some myths regarding Use Case modeling. In this study. we attempt to 'demythologize' some key aspects of Use Case Modeling by describing what we have observed in our research and practice. In order to identify the developers' perceptions. the survey methodology was utilized. By discussing the differences between what must be done and what has been done. this study provides rich insights into the better understanding of the Use Case modeling and the successful development of object-oriented systems.

  • The application of object-oriented modeling to develop a powertrain performance simulation program, called P-DYN, is introduced. Powertrain components, such as the engine, transmission, shaft, clutch are modeled as classes which have data and method by using object-oriented modeling methodology. P-DYN, a performance simulation program, based on the object-oriented modeling is made in C++. One powertrain example is simulated through the P-DYN. It is expected that the simulation program or individual class constructed in this paper would be useful for automotive engineers in predicting the performance of powertrains and developing a simulation program.

  • Purpose: This paper presents a framework development for BIM (Building Information Modeling)-based OOPM (Object-Oriented Physical Modeling) for Building Thermal Simulation. The framework facilitates decision-making in the design process by integrating two object-oriented modeling approaches (BIM and OOPM) and efficiently providing object-based thermal simulation results into the BIM environment. Method: The framework consists of a system interface between BIM and OOPM-based building energy modeling (BEM) and the visualization of simulation results for building designers. The interface enables a BIM models to be translated into OOPM-based BEM automatically and the thermal simulation from the created BEM model immediately. The visualization module enables the simulation results to be presented in BIM for building designers to comprehend the relationships between design decisions and the building performances. For the framework implementation, we utilized the Modelica Buildings Library developed by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a thermal simulation solver. We also conducted an experiment to validate the framework simulation results and demonstrate our framework. Result: This paper demonstrates a new methodology to integrate BIM and OOPM-based BEM for building thermal simulation, which enables an automatic translation BIM into OOPM-based BEM with high efficiency and accuracy.

객체지향 데이터베이스 기반의 XML 응용을 위한, UML을 이용한 통합 설계 방법론 (A Unified Design Methodology using UML for XML Applications based on OODB)

  • Nowadays an information exchange on XML such as B2B electronic commerce is spreading. Therefore the systematic and stable management mechanism for storing the exchanged Information is needed. For this goal there are many research activities for connection between XML application and relational database. But because XML data have hierarchical structures and relational database can store only flat-structured data, we need to store XML data in object-oriented database that support hierarchical structure. Accordingly the modeling methodology for storing XML data in object-oriented database is needed. In order to build good quality application systems, modeling is an important first step. In 1997, the OMG adopted the UML as its standard modeling language. Since industry has warmly embraced UML, its popularity should become more important in the future. So a design methodology based on UML is need to develop efficiently XML applications. In this paper, we propose a unified design methodology for XML applications based on object- oriented database using UML. To this goal, first we introduce a XML modeling methodology to design W3C XML schema using UML and second we propose data modeling methodology for object-oriented database schema to store efficiently XML data in object-oriented databases.

  • 최근에 객체지향 프로그래밍 언어의 광범위한 활용과 더불어 객체지향 개발방법론, 객체지향 모형화 언어가 활발히 보급되어 있다. 객체지향 개발방법론을 채택하여 정보 시스템을 개발할 경우, 사전 작업인 업무 분석 및 재설계 작업을 객체지향 모형화 언어를 활용하여 진행하면 업무 분석 및 재설계 산출물을 정보시스템 개발자들이 쉽게 이해하고 정보시스템 개발에 참조할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 객체지향 모형화 언어의 표준으로 대두되고 있는 UML(Unified Modeling Language)에 기반한 업무 프로세스 모형화 기법(UML-B, UML extension for Business Modeling)을 제시한다. UML-B에서는 UML의 표기법을 사용하여 업무 시스템의 조직 구조, 행위자, 사용사례, 업무 프로세스, 개체 관점을 표현하도록 한다. 또한 UML이 제공하는 확장 메카니즘을 사용하여 업무에 대한 모형화 작업의 용이성을 증진시키고 경영혁신(BPR, Business Process Reengineering) 기법을 객체지향 모형화와 함께 사용할 수 있도록 지원한다.

  • 유즈케이스 다이어그램은 사용자와 시스템간의 상호작용을 정의하는데 사용되어 진다. 소프트웨어 개발에 있어서 사용자의 요구사항을 도출하고 정의하는 것은 가장 중요한 일중에 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 클래스 추출 및 정의를 위하여 계층화 된 유즈케이스 모델링 과정을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 모델링 과정에서는 먼저, 여러 계층에 걸쳐서 유즈케이스 다이어그램을 정의하고 다음단계로서 각 계층별 클래스를 추출하고자 하였다. 즉, 소프트웨어 개발에 있어서의 사용자 요구사항 정의단계에서 도출된 유즈케이스 다이어그램과 클래스 다이어그램들의 상호작용을 비교 검증함으로써 보다 효율적인 객체지향모델링 과정을 수행할 수 있게 된다.

  • Object-oriented programming goes on increasing in many areas, as its advantages of flexibility and ease of maintenance have been recognized. As in usual programmings, the productivity and flexibility of CACSD package can be improved by adopting object-oriented programmin. This paper describes our efforts to implement an OO-CACSD(Object Oriented CACSD) package for control system design and simulation. Since the proposed OO-CACSD is based on the modularity, portability, reuseability, and matrix-oriented data structure, a control system can be not only modeled and simulated but also maintained easily.
