  • In this study, the potash glass beads of 281 samples in 30 sites analyzed until now were classified according to the chemical composition. And the color, size, manufacturing technique and distribution period were compared. Korea potash glass beads are divided into 3 types depending on the stabilizer content. I, II type is the CaO and $Al_2O_3$ content of less than 5%. Relatively, I type has a high CaO and II type has a high $Al_2O_3$. In contrast, III type comprises more than CaO 5%. I, II type is the saltpetre, III type is estimated using plant ash as row material of flux. A review of the properties by type, I type is cobalt blue, copper blue and purple beads. The outer diameter is sized to the range 1.4~7.4mm. Also it was produced by the drawing technique. It was used continuously from BC 1C until around AD 6C. On the other hand, II type is outer diameter of 1.9~3.6mm and a copper blue beads. manufacturing technique is the same as the I type. This seems to have been in use since around AD 1C to 4C. Finally, III type is brown, colorless, amber beads and an outer diameter of about 10mm. It was formed by winding technique and appeared in the tombs of Goryeo and Joseon Dynasty. As a result, 3 types of potash glass beads distributed in Korea is likely to flowing through the various trade routes from different provenances.

  • Noerok is a green pigment made of mineral used the Gachil(priming coat) of wooden architecture in Chosun Dynasty era. It has been reported that various Noerok are discovered in Janggimyeon, Pohang. In this study, The Noerok from two places is compared and discussed. Noerok in the two places has blulsh-green to green color, and it is similar to their occurrences on fracture filling, vein and dike on outcrop. However, there are differences between two sites according to its petrological feature, mineral composition and geochemistry. While the Noeseongsan sample is mostly celadonite, Gwangjeongsan samples are characterized by celadonite with varying contents of cristobalite, tridymite, feldspar, along with some vitrified contents. In terms of major elements, the amount of $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, MgO and $K_2O$ decreases linearly with increasing $SiO_2$, whereas $Fe_2O_3$ is linearly proportional to MgO. In summary, Noerok in the study areas can be classified into 4 types (type 1, type 2, type 3-1, type 3-2) base on color, mineral composition, elemental composition, and vitrification grade.

  • In this study, the effect of the size of sintered body on resonant and filter characteristics in Pb(Sn1/2Sb1/2)O3-PbTiO3 piezo-electric system were investigated. The attenuation characteristics of ring-dot type and ladder type filter were also investigated. As the size of sintered body was decreased, the resonant characteristic(Fr, Fa) and the center frequency(Fo) were increased. As the poling field was increased, the Kp and bandwidth were increased. The big difference between rign-dot type and ladder type was the sharpness of bandwidth, selectivity and the movement of center frequency.

  • Lanthanide orthochromite materials have been widely studied as refractory conducting ceramics because of their electrical conductivity, oxidation resistance and high melting points. In this paper theoretical and experimental analysis about electric conductivity of the SHS prepared ceramics was carried out. The usefulness of the Seebeck-coefficient measurements as a function of P(O$_2$) is emphasized. Electronic conduction was found to be n-type in the lower P(O$_2$) range, and p-type in the higher P(O$_2$) range. The carrier concentrations were calculated as a function of P(O$_2$) and defect structure.

  • ZnO is a promising material for UV or blue LEDs p-Type ZnO thin films which are imperative for the p-n junction of LEDs are difficult to achieve because of strong compensation of intrinsic defects such as zinc interstitial and oxygen vacancy. The method of codoping group three elements and group five elements is effective for the realization of p-type ZnO films. In this study, We codoped N and Al m ZnO thin films by RF magnetron sputtering and annealed the films in sputtering chamber. Some films showed p-type conductivity m Seeback effect measurement.

  • A prerequisite for the development of graphene-based field effect transistors (FETs) is reliable control of the type and concentration of carriers in graphene. These parameters can be manipulated via the deposition of atoms, molecules, and polymers onto graphene as a result of charge transfer that takes place between the graphene and adsorbates. In this work, we demonstrate a unique and facile methodology for the homogenous and stable p-type doping of graphene by hybridization with ZnO thin films fabricated by MeV electron beam irradiation (MEBI) under ambient conditions. The formation of the ZnO/graphene hybrid nanostructure was attributed to MEBI-stimulated dissociation of zinc acetate dihydrate and a subsequent oxidation process. A ZnO thin film with an ultra-flat surface and uniform thickness was formed on graphene. We found that homogeneous and stable p-type doping was achieved by charge transfer from the graphene to the ZnO film.

  • ZnO thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering and then diffused by using an As source in the ampouletube. Also, the ZnO p-n homojunction was made by using As-doped ZnO thin films, and its properties were analyzed. After the As doping, the surface roughness increased, the crystal quality deteriorated, and the full width at half maximum was increased. The As-doped ZnO thin films showed typical p-type properties, and their resistivity was as low as $2.19{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$, probably because of the in-diffusion from an external As source and out-diffusion from the GaAs substrate. Also, the ZnO p-n junction displayed the typical rectification properties of a p-n junction. Therefore, the As diffusion method is effective for obtaining ZnO films with p-type properties.

  • The tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) of a ramp-edge type junction with SrTiO$_3$barrier layer has been stud-ied. The samples with a structure of glass/NiO(600${\AA}$)/Co(100${\AA}$)/SrTiO$_3$(400 ${\AA}$)/SrTiO$_3$(20-100${\AA}$)/NiFe(100${\AA}$) were prepared by the sputtering and etched by the electron cyclotron (ECR) argon ion milling. Nonlinear I-V characteristics were obtained from a ramp-type tunneling junctions, having the dominant difference between two different external magnetic fields (${\pm}$100 Oe) perpendicular to the junction edge line. In the SrTiO$_3$ barrier thickness of 40${\AA}$, the TMR was 52.7% at a bias voltage of -50 mV The bias voltage dependence of resistance and TMR in a ramp-type tunneling junction was similar with those of the layered TMR junction.

  • Photocatalyst reaction has limit of its usage because application range mostly centered on atmosphere purification area. Thus, it is true that an alternative plans are necessary to increase usage of $TiO_2$ as photocatalyst material. (1) The result of flow felt according to $TiO_2$ replacement rate has shown that both of anatase type and rutile type over 12% deviated from desired flow, $110{\pm}5mm$. Consequently, the range below 9% will be suitable when the anatase type $TiO_2$ if used for functional additives if workability is considered. (2) After compressive strength test, replacement rate 6-9% is estimated as suitable range if $TiO_2$ is used as compressive strength material. Rutile type and anatase type are suitable for in early-age strength and long-age strength respectively. (3) It was revealed that bending strength was dramatically decreased when replacement rate was increased. The main reason were the increase of $TiO_2$ doesn't influence hydration reaction and the decrease of bending strength. (4) The result from the water purification properties test using ion-chromatograhpy has shown that the condition with anatase type $TiO_2$ was normally better than rutile type on the same replacement rate.
