한.러 철도 협력 및 운송경쟁력 강화 방안 연구 (The study of strengthening railroad cooperation and transport competitiveness between Korea and Russia)

  • When the Trans-Korea Railway (Gyeong-eui Line and Dong-hae Line) initiative is completed, Korea will become one of the major trading partners of Russia through the Trans-Siberian Railway (TSR). This will be an opportunity for Korea to take-off to a 'Traffic and Logistics Center in 21st Century. The opening of the Eurasia Continental Railway will provideKorea with the opportunity to develop into the logistics center of Asia-Pacific area and the benefit of reduced cost of unification by improving the correlation between South and North Korea through the cooperation in railway business. However, there exist the uncertainties for its demand and innovative reduction in transportation time and cost, due to the practical problems including economic efficiency and transportation technology. In this paper, the practical problems of TSR are discussed in the economic and social perspectives to develop the methodology for the Korea-Russia railway cooperation and for the improvement of the competitive power of TSR.

  • This paper studied technical investigation of effective operation and methodology for technical combination in south and north korea. For harmonious transportation on railroad system, the system of trans-korea railroad investigated on each part(system, Rolling stock, Cartenary & Electricity, Signal and Track etc). Though it isn't show many difference on railroad system, we can show some difference on rolling stock, track and signaling system. For the effective and competitive operation on south and north korea, Many problem investigated and proposed alternative proposal for selecting of rolling stock(diesel or electric), track and signaling improving for speed-up and compatible system at AC and DC system.

  • Transportation routes by land like a human being blood vessel should exist for economic and trade exchange in Northeast Asia. Thinking from this point of view. I believe that TSR(Trans Siberian Railroad) and TCR(Trans Chinese Railroad). which will be connected with I would like to talk about .not only the effects of various international railroads and their connections but also economic activation TKR(Trans Korean Railroad). can play important roles. In this study, and effects in Northeast Asia which will be resulted from various international railroads construction. I tried to figure out comparative superiority and comparative advantage of the trade structure and industries in South and North Korea to find out the possibility of economic unification in East Asia. especial1y in Northeast Asia. This study also includes the effort to find out how trade exchange between South and North Korea can be expanded as a result of being a member of East Asia economic zone.

한중간 해상에서 육상으로 화물운송전환수요의 추정 : 동북 3성 지역을 중심으로 (Estimations of modal shift from maritime and air transport to surface transport between China and South Korea : focusing on China's three northeast provinces.)

  • This study is based on the assumption of surface transport linkages between Korea and China. Active economic cooperation between South Korea and North Korea are expected within the near future and Russia and China have interested in the land transport linkages in Korean peninsula. How much freight demands between the two countries that has been mainly dependent on air and sea transportation so far may convert the transport mode to surface transportation are estimated. Particularly, freight demands between South Korea and China's three northeast provinces are focused. The sensitivity analysis depends on transport time and transport cost changes is included. The modal shifts is estimated to be more sensitive to the changes in transport costs than those in transport time, suggesting the importance of transport costs of rail and road. Despite the dearth of data on the surface transport operation in North Korea, the attempts made in this study to estimate the demand conversion are hope to provide reference points for potential effects of the rail and road transport connections between China and the Korea peninsula before our discussions expand to the establishment of freight transport network of the northest Asia and, moreover, the Eurasian continent.

궤간가변화차의 동특성 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation of Dynamic Behaviour of a Gauge-changeable Freight Wagon)

  • In order to transport cargo rapidly and safely from the trans-Korean railway to the trans-Siberian railway having a different gauge, a gauge-changeable freight wagon can be used. Because the wagon is expected to run in South Korea, North Korea and Russia, it should have good dynamic performance in these railways. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of a gauge-changeable freight wagon was analyzed numerically using ADAMS/Rail in each condition of the railways having different gauges and rail profiles. The wagon makes use of load sensitive friction damping and has highly nonlinear behaviour, which is modeled in detail as the full nonlinear dynamic model. It is shown that the running behaviour of the wagon is sensitive to changes in the rail gauge and profiles, however the assessment quantities from the point of view of safety, track fatigue and running behaviour are less than the limit valves.

  • The Chinese government portrays the One Belt One Road Initiative (BRI) and South Korea President Park Geun-hae's Eurasia Initiative as a win-win opportunity which will hurt nobody's interests, but some South Korean commentators have interpreted it as much more than just a trade and development deal: they focus on the geopolitical implications and the possibility that the balance of power in Asia will be disturbed. South Korea depends upon its maritime-oriented Sea Lanes of Communication (SLOC) in focusing on its alliance with the US to deter North Korean threats and explore its export-based economic growth and development, and yet cannot afford to be left out of these initiatives which could transform the economic and logistical linkage between South Korea and Europe. Given its negative reception by the some pundits, however, South Korea should be more precautious for expressing only full-fledged supports for the BRI and Eurasia Initiative. Opponents of these two initiatives doubt that its putative benefits can be realized, at least in the short term, arguing that creating the necessary rail interconnections may be too costly.

금강산(내금강) 관광을 위한 남북연결 교통망에 관한 연구 (Restoration of The Transportation Network between North and South Korea for Mt. Geumgang Tourism)

  • 금강산은 조선 시대 이전부터 한반도를 대표하는 명승지였으며, 남북 분단 이후에는 개성공단과 함께 남북교류의 상징이 되었다. 금강산 관광코스는 크게 내금강과 외금강으로 구분되는데, 조선시대와 일제 강점기의 금강산 관광 경로는 서울에서 가까운 내금강으로 진입하여 외금강을 거쳐 동해로 빠져나가는 것이 일반적이었다. 그러나 현대아산에서 운영한 금강산 관광코스는, 북한이 외금강 위주로 개방함으로 인하여, 고성에서 외금강으로 접근하는 관광 경로가 활용되었다. 북한은 금강산 관광코스 중 일부만 현대아산에 개방하였지만, 향후 금강산 관광이 재개된다면 2007년 내금강 일부 구간 개방과 같이 금강산 관광 지역을 추가로 개방할 가능성이 크다. 이 경우 남한에서 내금강으로 접근할 수 있는 추가적인 교통망 연결이 필요하다. 최적의 대안은 금강산철도 구간의 복원이었지만, 임남댐의 건설로 인하여 금강산철도 구간의 복원이 불가능하게 된 현실을 고려할 때, 양구와 금강읍을 연결하던 국도31호선을 복원하는 것이 가장 현실적인 대안이다. GIS를 이용한 내금강 연결도로 분석 결과, 기존 국도31호선, 국도31호선과 인접하여 양구 두타연에서 문등리를 통과하는 노선, 인제에서 출발하여 국도31호선으로 합류하는 노선 등 모두 3개의 노선이 확인되었다. 이들 노선 중 도로 길이, 지형특성, 군사시설배치 등을 고려할 때 두타연-문등리-금강읍 구간이 남한에서 내금강으로 연결할 수 있는 현실적인 대안이 될 수 있다.

  • ㆍ수도권 철도는 우리나라의 경제성장과 함께 증가하는 교통처리 대책으로 1974년 8월 15일 서울지하철 1호선과 함께 경인선 서울∼인천간, 경부선 서울∼수원간, 경원선 용산∼청량리∼성북간을 복선 전철화 하여 도시철도로 전환, 이에 따라 수도권 위성도시의 발전과 인구 폭증으로 안산, 산본, 평촌, 분당, 일산 등 신도시를 개발하고 교통난 해소를 위해 서울지하철은 1호선에서 9호선가지 건설중이며, 수도권 철도는 경부선 영등포∼천안간 2복선전철과 안산선, 분당선, 일산선, 경의선, 경원선, 중앙선, 경춘선, 용산선, 신공항선 등 복선전철화와 경부고속철도 등 수송능력 증강을 위해 건설하고 있다.   • The Korean railroads' logistics are facing the important turning points by the connection of. South and North Korean railroads, and the commercial opening of the High Speed Rail. These two factors demand several plans for the development of railroads' logistics, in which intermodal transportation with the others modes is wholly studied. In this respect the case of port of Hamburg, Germany, where railroads are completely integrated in the port, will permit the Koreans some useful lessons for the future of railroads' logistics.

  • It is expected to confront numerous technological advancements in ter railroad technology with an opening of state-of-art Kyung-Bu High Speed Railroad that permits traveling speed in excess of 300 Km/hr. Expansions of railroad facility such as revival of silk railroad in Eurasia due to the connection of South-North Korea and modernization of rolling stock and ancillary equipment have certainly contributed to the technological development of Korean Railroad. Such technological advancements will provide of opportunities to participate in foreign projects that have been offered in past years. Thus, a comprehensive plan and R&D policy is necessary to continuously raise and upgrade national competitiveness in the railroad industry.
