초전도 코일을 적용한 무선전력전송 시스템 효율 향상 (Efficiency Enhancement of a Wireless Power Transmission System Applying a Superconducting Coil)

  • Due to high oil prices, environmental pollution, the study of electric vehicles have been actively promoted. Charger for the electric vehicle is being developed using wireless rather than cable options. In this paper, we got more efficiency from using a superconducting transmission coil compared to using a normal coil. We implemented a wireless power transmission system using a magnetic induction at a frequency of 63.1 kHz. For comparison, a transmitter was designed using a superconducting coil and a normal coil. In addition, a receiver used a normal coil to apply for electric vehicles. The applied voltage and current were12 V and 5 A. Efficiency at a distance of 40 ~ 80 mm was measured. As a result, the superconducting transmission coil had a higher efficiency than the normal transmission coil. However, the receiving coil should be normal conductor for stable operation considering that it was put in moving electric vehicle. The efficiency was increased to 44 % at a distance of 40 mm when the diameter of normal receiving coil was 120 mm.

  • The YBCO coated conductor is an important element that forms the superconducting power equipment. The first advantage of applying YBCO coated conductor to superconducting power equipment is that it can effectively addresses the normal and fault currents using less quantity of wire than when using Bi tape due to its high critical current density. Second, it can limit the fault current fast because its index value is high. so that the resistance can be produced fast when it is applied to the superconducting current limiting element. Third, the type of stabilization layer that surrounds the YBCO superconductor is selectable and the magnitude of the resistance that is produced from quenching can be adjusted. This study researched into the manufacture of current-limiting element of using YBCO coated conductor, into the characteristics of current limiter that considered by combining the manufactured element with the resistive-type superconducting fault current limiter.

  • Power system has been improved during for a long time by customers demand. Power suppliers has researched the power system component for more electricity transmission. One of the research is apply the thermal conductors in new cable. The operational temperature of thermal conductors is higher than normal aluminum that thermal conductor is composed of aluminum, Zr(zirconium) and etc. Increase of operational temperature is growth of the transmission capability. Power suppliers was concerned about the increase of operation temperature by thermal conductors. Therefore, the thermal conductor has the possibility that expanded application in power system. In this paper analysed effect of thermal conductor in power distribution system.

가공송전선의 열적거동과 전류 및 외기온도의 영향 (Effect of Ambient Temperature and Current on Overhead Conductor)

  • A research was undertaken on the thermal properties and behavior of the conductors in a controlled chamber, which was designed to implement the outdoor air temperature, heat and wind conditions. With ACSR $410mm^2$ overhead conductors, we measured the maximum temperature of the conductors and the temperature gradient from the core to the surface regions as a function of current, tension, wind velocity and outdoor air temperature. This test also provided a comparative analysis between the measured temperature values of conductors in the controlled chamber and the theoretical calculations of ANSI/IEEE at normal condition.

에너지원의 종류에 따른 비닐평형코드(VFF)의 소손원인 판정기법에 관한 연구 (Study of the Method to Examine the Cause of Damage to a Flat-Type Vinyl Cord (VFF) According to the Type of Energy Source)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기기기 및 가전기기 등의 배선으로 사용되는 비닐코드의 구조 및 특성을 제시하고, 에너지원의 종류에 따라 소손된 비닐평형코드(VFF, $1.25mm^2$)의 실체 사진 및 용융된 도체의 금속 단면 구조를 분석하였다. 정상 VFF는 소선 여러 가닥을 꼬아서 제작되었으며, 도체의 표면은 적갈색이다. 또한 도체의 금속 조직 분석에서 그레인이 연신된 것을 알 수 있었다. 일반 화염에 의해 소손된 VFF의 표면은 절연물이 탄화되어 도체의 표면에 융착되었고, 윤기가 없는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 용융 부분의 단면 구조 분석에서 일정한 모양의 보이드가 형성되었고, 전선 고유의 연신 구조는 확인할 수 없었다. 통전중인 VFF에 외부 화염이 인가되어 소손된 용융 도체의 단면 분석에서 전선 고유의 연신 구조는 없었고, 불규칙적인 보이드 및 주상 조직 등이 성장한 것을 알 수 있었다. 과전류에 의해 소손된 VFF는 표면이 고르게 탄화되었으며, 용융된 도체의 단면 구조 분석에서 수지상 조직의 성장이 확인되었다. 단락에 의해 용융된 VFF의 특성 분석에서 표면의 일부가 오염되었지만 약간의 윤기가 있고, 용융되어 재결합한 부분이 둥근 모양을 나타냈다. 또한 금속 현미경을 이용한 단면 구조 분석에서 경계면 및 주상 조직 등이 확인되었고, 용융된 도체 이외의 부분에서는 정상 구리와 같은 비정질체인 구조가 확인되었다.

카테너리 각도를 이용한 가공송전도체의 이도 추정 (Dip Estimation for Overhead Transmission Conductor using Catenary Angle)

  • 가공송전 도체는 정상 동작조건 하에서 전력회사의 선로 설계지침에 규정된 지상고를 안정범위 내에서 항상 유지할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 새로운 선로를 건설하거나 노화도체의 장력을 다시 조정하거나 또는 전력용량을 최대화하기 위해 동적송전용량을 모니터링하는 경우에, 도체 이도를 측정/또는 모니터링하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 도체의 카테너리 각도로 이도 및 장력을 추정하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 가공송전선로의 대부분의 도체들은 전형적인 카테너리 곡선을 나타내므로 철탑 측의 카테너리 각도로부터 도체의 카테너리 곡선을 유일하게 결정할 수 있다. 이 카테너리 곡선을 토대로 도체의 이도나 수평장력을 쉽게 추정할 수 있다. 몇 가지 시뮬레이션과 간단한 실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 방법이 가공송전선의 도체 이도와 장력을 측정/또는 모니터링하는데 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

적응 뉴로 퍼지 추론 시스템을 이용한 고임피던스 고장검출 (Detection of High Impedance Fault Using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)

  • A high impedance fault(HIF) is one of the serious problems facing the electric utility industry today. Because of the high impedance of a downed conductor under some conditions these faults are not easily detected by over-current based protection devices and can cause fires and personal hazard. In this paper a new method for detection of HIF which uses adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is proposed. Since arcing fault current shows different changes during high and low voltage portion of conductor voltage waveform we firstly divided one cycle of fault current into equal spanned four data windows according to the mangnitude of conductor voltage. Fast fourier transform(FFT) is applied to each data window and the frequency spectrum of current waveform are chosen asinputs of ANFIS after input selection method is preprocessed. Using staged fault and normal data ANFIS is trained to discriminate between normal and HIF status by hybrid learning algorithm. This algorithm adapted gradient descent and least square method and shows rapid convergence speed and improved convergence error. The proposed method represent good performance when applied to staged fault data and HIFLL(high impedance like load)such as arc-welder.

강 슬리브 파단 직선 슬리브의 장력 및 열적 특성 분석 연구 (Study on Tension and Thermal Properties of Corrosive-fractured Steel Sleeve)

  • According to previous report, aged sleeves of old transmission line showed several defaulted installation patterns, which was biased or corrosive-fractured of steel sleeve installed cases. These defects can cause serious accidents such as rapid increasing of sag or falling out of overhead conductor from sleeves. Consequently, the defects lead to the major power outage. Corrosion of steel sleeve is a typical defect by aging of sleeves. And it occupied almost 25 percent of investigated aged sleeves. This paper studied thermal properties and tension for ACSR conductor in case of fractured steel sleeve model by corrosion. The temperature distribution within overhead conductor has a specific gradient. Thermal properties of splice connectors(sleeve and clamp) showed normal behavior. However, mechanical properties were worse than normal sleeves. The detailed results were presented in the text.

  • An anolmalous magnetoresistance effect has been theoretically studied at very low temperatures for composite normal metal conductors. This anomalous behavior is due to transverse Hall currents in the composite which would result in increased losses and higher effective resistance for the composite conductor. In this paper, transverse current flow and effective resistance with Cu-Al conductor configuration were analyzed using FEM(finite element method) for predicting the Hall losses to be resulted in anomalous magnetoresistance effect. And they are plotted three dimensionally to be visualized.

  • Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) with the long secondary conductor often have joints between the segmented secondary, which are specially used for magnetically levitated high-speed vehicle and elevators. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of the LIM with joints in the secondary are investigated using the time-stepping finite element analysis. It is supposed that both aluminium conductor and back-iron have joint in the active zone during the analysis. As a result, thrust and normal force ripple which have effects on the motor dynamics and vibration are examined.
