바이스펙트럼해석을 이용한 혈관의 비선형 맥동전파특성 계측에 대한 모의실험 (A Sham Experiment for the Measurement of Nonlinear Pulse Propagation Characteristics of Blood Vessel Using Bispectral Analysis)

  • 이 연구는 다음 두가지 사실에 기초를 두고 있다. 첫째, 혈관의 맥동은 전통적으로 동양의 한방에서 오랫동안 인체진단을 위해 사용되어져 왔다는 것이고, 둘째는 신체조직에서 파동의 비선형전파특성이 의용진단에 유용한 정보를 준다는 것이다. 따라서, 혈관의 벽을 전파하는 맥동파의 비선형전파특성은 의용진단을 위하여 효과적으로 이용될 수 있다는 것을 예측할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 혈관을 따른 두 지점에서 변위파형을 초음파 도플러 신호에 대한 직교검파에 의해 구하고, 여기에 바이스펙트럼해석과 볼테라모델전개를 적용하여 두지점 사이의 비선형 전달함수를 추정하며, 이것이 의용진단에 적용가능한지 모의샘플에 대하여 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

소량의 기포를 함유한 이상유체 내에서의 압력파의 전파현상 (Pressure Wave Propagation Phenomena in Water Containing Uniformly Distributed Gas Bubbles)

  • 기포 혼합 유체 내에서의 압력파의 전파 현상을 수치해석으로 연구한다. 혼합 유체 영역을 지배하는 지배 방정식을 heuristic 한 방법으로 유도하고 기포 내부 영역에는 열전달 효과를 고려할 수 있도록 에너지 방정식을 도입한다. 기포 내부의 비등온 조건은 특히 기포가 고진폭을 가지고 진동할 때 매우 중요하다. 기포 역학 방정식으로서 Keller 방정식이 채택, 변형되어 기포 외부와 내부의 coupling을 맺어준다. 실제 문제로서 충격관내 충격파의 전파 현상을 수치해석 방법으로 해석한 결과가 Noordzij 및 van Wijngaarden 의 실험 결과와 거의 일치한다. 그러나 그들에 의해 설명된 충격파 구조의 변화 원인은 가스와 액체 간의 상대 운동인데 이는 본 모델에서 고려되지 않았기 때문에 가스와 액체 간의 열전달에 의해 충격파의 구조가 변화된다고 보는 것이 타당하다.

  • It is necessary to analyze the contact phenomena in order to effectively design the machine components with contact surfaces. In general, the contact action is highly nonlinear and irreversible because we cannot predict the contact regions and conditions. Recently, the finite element method is used to analyze the contact problem. In this paper, the contact element method is applied to avoid the mesh refinement and iterative calculation of general contact algorithms. By use of it, the deformation and stress concentration of turbo compressor rotor are computed. It shown that the contact element is convenient analysis and the results are relatively accurate.

  • The proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is different from the normal power supply, and it is a nonlinear, multi-input, strong coupling, the complex dynamic system with large time delay. At present, many studies on the content of the fuel cell fuel cells focus on a static process, this paper analyzed in subsequent sections of the process of fuel cell dynamic response time of transition, and then it found the method to reduce the response time during the process of load change to ensure that the stability of output power.

On the Contact of Partial Rotor Rub with Experimental Observations

  • Partial rotor rub occurs when an obstacle on the stator of a rotating machinery disturbs the free whirling motion of the rotor, which is more common than full annular rub among the cases of rubbing in rotating machinery. The intermittent contacts and friction during partial rotor rub makes the phenomenon complex. The several nonlinear phenomena of superharmonics, subharmonics, and jump phenomenon are demonstrated for the partial rub using an experimental apparatus in this study. The orbit patterns are also measured experimentally. In order to explain the phenomena of partial rotor rub, the analytical model for the contact between the rotor and stator should be chosen carefully. In this respect, a piecewise-linear model and a rebound model using the coefficient of restitution are investigated on the basis of the experimental observations. Also, Numerical simulations for the two models of contact are done for the various system parameters of clearance, contact stiffness, and friction coefficient. The results show that the piecewise-linear model for partial rotor rub is more plausible to explain the experimental observgations.

철도차량의 임계속도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Critical Speed of Railway Vehicles)

  • This research has been performed to reveal the hysteresis phenomena of the hunting motion in a railway passenger car having a bolster. Since linear analysis can not explain them, bifurcation analysis is used to predict its outbreak velocities in this paper. However bifurcation analysis is attended with huge computing time, thus this research proposes more effective numerical algorithm to reduce it than previous researches. Stability of periodic solution is obtained by adapting of Floquet theory while stability of equilibrium solutions is obtained by eigen-value analysis. As a result, linear and nonlinear critical speed are acquired. Full scale roller rig test is carried out for the validation of the numerical result. Finally, it is certified that there are many similarities between numerical and test results.

Modeling of rain-wind induced vibrations

  • Rain-wind induced vibrations of cables are a challenging problem in the design of cable-stayed bridges. The precise excitation mechanism of the complex interaction between structure, wind and rain is still unknown. A theoretical model that is able to accurately simulate the observed phenomena is not available. This paper presents a mathematical model describing rain-wind induced vibrations as movement-induced vibrations using the quasi-steady strip theory. Both, the vibrations of the cable and the movement of the water rivulet on the cable surface can be described by the model including all geometrical and physical nonlinearities. The analysis using the stability and bifurcation theory shows that the model is capable of simulating the basic phenomena of the vibrations, such as dependence of wind velocity and cable damping. The results agree well with field data and wind tunnel tests. An extensive experimental study is currently performed to calibrate the parameters of the model.

연소 불안정 예측을 위한 열음향 해석 모델 - Part 2 : 비선형 안정성 해석 (Thermoacoustic Analysis Model for Combustion Instability Prediction - Part 2 : Nonlinear Instability Analysis)

  • 연소 불안정 현상을 완전하게 이해하기 위해서는 천이 과정과 한계 진폭과 같은 비선형 거동에 대한 예측이 매우 중요하다. 가스터빈 희박 예혼합 연소기에서 이러한 비선형 거동은 화염의 비선형 동특성에 크게 의존하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 선형 해석으로부터 비선형 열음향 해석으로 확장하기 위해서 화염 묘사 함수를 통한 시스템 안정성 해석 기법이 소개되었다. 이를 위하여, 주파수 뿐만 아니라 속도 진폭에 따른 열발생율의 변동 특성이 실험 결과로부터 모델링되었다. 현재 해석 조건에서 비선형 모델링 결과, 주어진 연소기 길이에서 속도 진폭이 불안정 주파수에 미치는 영향은 미비하였으나, 성장률에는 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 다양한 조건에서 비선형 모델의 검증과 한계 진폭의 예측 결과에 대한 실험 결과와의 비교가 요구된다.

  • Longitudinal dynamic behaviors of a bridge system under seismic excitations are examined with various magnitudes of peak ground accelerations. The stiffness degradation due to abutment-soil interaction is considered in the bridge model which may play the major role upon the global dynamic characteristics. The idealized mechanical model for the whole ridge system is proposed by adopting the multiple-degree-of-freedom system which can consider components such as pounding phenomena friction at the movable supports rotational and translational motions of foundations and the nonlinear pier motions. The abutment-soil interaction is simulated by utilizing the one degree-of-freedom system with nonlinear spring. The stiffness degradation of the abutment-soil system is found to increase the relative displacement under moderate seismic excitations.

Geiger형 케이블 돔 구조물의 외력에 따른 동적 불안정 특성 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Dynamic Instability Characteristic of Geiger-Typed Cable Dome Structures by Load Condition)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study comparative of dynamic instability characteristic of Geiger-typed cable dome structures by load condition, which is well-known among the cable dome structures that are the lightweight hybrid structure using compression and tension element continuously. Dynamic buckling process in the phase plane is very important thing for understanding why unstable phenomena are sensitively originated in nonlinear dynamic by various initial conditions. But there is no paper for the dynamic instability of hybrid cable dome by Sinusoidal Excitations, many papers which deal with the dynamic instability for shell-structures under the step load have been published. As a result of Geiger-typed cable dome, which shows chaotic behavior in dynamic nonlinear analysis with initial imperfection.
