외란관측기를 이용한 볼스크류 구동 2축 서보계의 최적튜닝 (Optimal Tuning of a Ballscrew Driven Biaxial Servo System)

  • In this paper, optimal tuning of a cross-coupled controller linked with the feedforward controller and the disturbance observer is studied to improve contouring and tracking accuracy as well as robustness against disturbance. Previously developed integrated design and optimal tuning methods are applied for developing the robust tuning method. Strict mathematical modeling of the multivariable system is formulated as a state-space equation. Identification processes of the servomechanism are conducted for mechanical servo models. An optimal tuning problem to minimize both the contour error and settling time is formulated as a nonlinear constrained optimization problem including the relevant controller parameters of the servo control system. Constraints such as relative stability, robust stability and overshoot, etc. are considered for the optimization. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimal tuning procedure, linear and circular motion experiments are performed on the xy-table. Experimental results confirm the control performance and robustness despite the variation of parameters of the mechanical subsystems.

  • In order to acquire high-speed and high-precision performances in servomechanisms, an integrated design method have been proposed. Based on strict mathematical modeling and analysis of system performance according to design and operating parameters, a nonlinear constrained optimization problem including the relevant subsystem parameters of the servomechanism is formulated. Optimum design results of mechanical and electrical parameters are obtained according to the design parameters specified by designers through the integrated design processes. Motors are optimally selected from the servo motor database. Both the geometric errors referring to Abbe offset and the contour errors are minimized while required constraints such as stability conditions and saturated conditions are satisfied. This design methodology both offers the improved possibility to evaluate and optimize the dynamic motion performance of the servomechanism and improves the quality of the design process to achieve the required performance for high-speed/precision servomechanisms.

선박자동조타를 위한 RCGA기반 T-S 퍼지 PID 제어 (T-S fuzzy PID control based on RCGAs for the automatic steering system of a ship)

  • In this study, the second-order Nomoto's nonlinear expansion model was implemented as a Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy model based on the heading angular velocity to design the automatic steering system of a ship considering nonlinear elements. A Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy PID controller was designed using the applied fuzzy membership functions from the Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy model. The linear models and fuzzy membership functions of each operating point of a given nonlinear expansion model were simultaneously tuned using a genetic algorithm. It was confirmed that the implemented Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy model could accurately describe the given nonlinear expansion model through the Zig-Zag experiment. The optimal parameters of the sub-PID controller for each operating point of the Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy model were searched using a genetic algorithm. The evaluation function for searching the optimal parameters considered the route extension due to course deviation and the resistance component of the ship by steering. By adding a penalty function to the evaluation function, the performance of the automatic steering system of the ship could be evaluated to track the set course without overshooting when changing the course. It was confirmed that the sub-PID controller for each operating point followed the set course to minimize the evaluation function without overshoot when changing the course. The outputs of the tuned sub-PID controllers were combined in a weighted average method using the membership functions of the Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy model. The proposed Tagaki-Sugeno fuzzy PID controller was applied to the second-order Nomoto's nonlinear expansion model. As a result of examining the transient response characteristics for the set course change, it was confirmed that the set course tracking was satisfactorily performed.

  • 본 논문은 헬리콥터 비선형 제어기 설계를 위한 State-Dependent Riccati Equation (SDRE) 기법을 다루었다. SDRE 제어기법은 비선형 운동방정식에 대해 선형 시스템과 같은 구조를 갖는 방정식을 필요하기 때문에 State-Dependent Coefficient (SDC) factorization 기법을 개발하여 비선형 운동방정식으로부터 이러한 구조의 방정식을 유도하였다. SDRE제어기를 온라인상에서 설계하는데 필요한 대수 Riccati 방정식의 효율적인 수치해법을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 수치기법을 헬리콥터의 경로추종문제로 적용하였으며, 고 신뢰도의 헬리콥터 수학적 모델을 적용하여 실시간으로 SDRE 제어기를 설계할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.

A Highly Efficient Broadband Class-E Power Amplifier with Nonlinear Shunt Capacitance

  • A new approach to designing a broadband and highly efficient class-E power amplifier based on nonlinear shunt capacitance analysis is proposed. The nonlinear shunt capacitance method accurately extracts optimum class-E power amplifier parameters, including an external shunt capacitance and an output impedance, at different frequencies. The dependence of the former parameter on the frequency is considered to select an optimal value of external shunt capacitor. Then, upon determining the latter parameter, an output matching network is optimized to obtain the highest efficiency across the bandwidth of interest. An analytical approach is presented to design the broadband class-E power amplifier of a MOSFET transistor. The proposed method is experimentally verified by a 140-170 MHz class-E power amplifier design with maximum added power efficiency of 82% and output power of 34 dBm.

  • This paper proposes an indirect adaptive fuzzy controller for general SISO nonlinear systems. In indirect adaptive fuzzy control, based on the proved approximation capability of fuzzy systems, they are used to capture the unknown nonlinearities of the plant. Until now, most of the papers in the field of controller design for nonlinear system considers the affine system using fuzzy systems which have fixed grid-rule structure. We proposes a dynamic fuzzy rule insertion scheme where fuzzy rule-base grows as time goes on. With this method, the dynamic order of the controller reduces dramatically and an appropriate number of fuzzy rules are found on-line. No a priori information on bounding constants of uncertainties including reconstruction errors and optimal fuzzy parameters is needed. The control law and the update laws for fuzzy rule structure and estimates of fuzzy parameters and bounding constants are determined so that the Lyapunov stability of the whole closed-loop system is guaranteed.

Harmony search based, improved Particle Swarm Optimizer for minimum cost design of semi-rigid steel frames

  • This paper proposes a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, which is improved by making use of the Harmony Search (HS) approach and called HS-PSO algorithm. A computer code is developed for optimal sizing design of non-linear steel frames with various semi-rigid and rigid beam-to-column connections based on the HS-PSO algorithm. The developed code selects suitable sections for beams and columns, from a standard set of steel sections such as American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) wide-flange W-shapes, such that the minimum total cost, which comprises total member plus connection costs, is obtained. Stress and displacement constraints of AISC-LRFD code together with the size constraints are imposed on the frame in the optimal design procedure. The nonlinear moment-rotation behavior of connections is modeled using the Frye-Morris polynomial model. Moreover, the P-${\Delta}$ effects of beam-column members are taken into account in the non-linear structural analysis. Three benchmark design examples with several types of connections are presented and the results are compared with those of standard PSO and of other researches as well. The comparison shows that the proposed HS-PSO algorithm performs better both than the PSO and the Big Bang-Big Crunch (BB-BC) methods.

비대칭 노이즈 영상에서 SA 필터의 성능 분석 (The performance analysis of SA fitters for images corrupted by biased noise)

  • SA 필터는 선형 필터와 순서통계에 기초한 비선형 필터의 특성을 모두 포함하는 광범위한 필터 군으로 소개되었으며, 필터의 구조는 다단 필터의 형태로 첫째 단를 이루는 부 필터(sub-filter)의 종류에 따라 SAMAX, SAMIN, SAMED, SAXOR 필터로 불린다. 본 논문에서는 비대칭 노이즈 환경에서 최적 SAMAX 필터와 SAMED 필터를 설계하고 영상신호에 대하여 적용함으로써 그 성능을 비교 분석 하였다. 실험 결과 대칭 노이즈에서는 두 필터의 성능이 동일하지만 비대칭 노이즈에서는 SAMAX 필터가 SAMED 필터 보다 우수한 성능을 가진다는 사실을 보여주었다. 이러한 새로운 사실은 SA 필터의 응용에서 기초적인 지침으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

조작기의 동특성을 고려한 비선형 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 최적 제어기 설계 (Design of an OPtimal Controller for the Nonlinear Robot Manipulators with the Actuator Dynamics)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속운전 및 빈번한 부하의 변동에 대해서도 효과적인 과도응답 및 정상상태 응답특성을 갖도록 조작키(actuator)의 동특성방정식을 유도하여 매니퓰레이터의 동특성방정식과 결합시켜 2차 미분방정식으로 표현되는 새로운 매니퓰레이터의 모델 시스템 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 비선형 궤환과 선형화 기법을 적용하여 변수들이 상호간에 심하게 결합되어 있는 시변 비선형 등특성모델을 감결합된 선형모델로 변환한다. 이럴 경구 모델의 제어기 구성시 시스템의 안정성을 얻기 위하여 극 재배치 법을 적용하였으며, 또한 경로오차를 최소화 시켜주기 위하여 오차방정식에 대한 최적제어를 적용하였다. 제안한 알고리즘을 조작키가 포함된 3관절 로보트 메니퓰레이터에 적용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션한 결과 만족할만한 결과를 얻었다.

Multiple-loading condition을 고려한 구조체의 위상학적 최적화 (Topological Structural Optimization under Multiple-Loading Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 구조체의 위상학적 최적화를 위한 비선형 formulation(NLP)가 개발, 검토되었다. 이 NLP는 multiple-loading하에서 임의의 오브젝티브 함수, 응력, 변위 제약조건들을 쉽게 다룰 수가 있다. 또한 이 NLP는 해석과 최적화 디자인을 동시에 실시함으로써 요소 사이즈가 영으로 접근함에 따른 강성 매트릭스의 singularity를 피할 수 있다. 즉, 평형 방정식을 등제약조건으로 치환함으로써 강성 매트릭스 그 자체나 그의 역매트릭스를 구할 필요도 없어진다. 이 NLP는 multiple-loading conditon하에서 테스트되었으며, 이를 통해 이 NLP가 다양한 제약조건하에서 강력하게 작용함이 입증되었다.
