  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of achieving global optimization for distributed carrier aggregation (CA) in small cell networks, using a game theoretic solution. To cope with the local interference and the distinct cost of intra-band and inter-band CA, we propose a non-cooperation game which is proved as an exact potential game. Furthermore, we propose a spatial adaptive play learning algorithm with heterogeneous learning parameters to converge towards NE of the game. In this algorithm, heterogeneous learning parameters are introduced to accelerate the convergence speed. It is shown that with the proposed game-theoretic approach, global optimization is achieved with local information exchange. Simulation results validate the effectivity of the proposed game-theoretic CA approach.

  • This work puts forward a theoretical analysis on position estimation performance of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) according to the injection frequency in carrier-based sensorless operation. The effects of spatial harmonics on inductance and voltage distortion due to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM and inverter are examined as factors influencing the position estimation performance. Furthermore, the position estimation performance is analyzed by calculating the current at the switching instant in several operating conditions. In summary, the half switching frequency injection is more robust to the nonideal characteristics of IPMSM, especially with light load condition. The validity of the analysis is verified by the simulation and experimental results.

  • The present research was focused to investigate the quality of non-polar SiC substrates grown by a conventional PVT method for optoelectronic applications. The half part of the PVT-grown 6H-SiC crystal boules was sliced along a-direction and m-direction to extensively analyze non-polar planes and then remaining part of that was sliced along the basal plane to produce wafers. The non-polar SiC m-plane and a-plane exhibited apparent peaks around 2 theta=$120^{\circ}$((3-300) plane) and 2 theta=$60^{\circ}$ ((11-20) plane), respectively. FWHM values of m-plane measured along a-direction and c-direction were 60 arc see and 57 arcsec respectively, a-plane measured along m-direction and c-direction were 41 arcsec and 51 arcsec respectively. The typical absorption spectra of SiC crystals indicated that each of SiC crystals were the 6H-SiC with fundamental absorption energy of about 3.04 eV. Non-polar planes contained no micropipe on etched surface. The carrier concentration and mobility of non-polar SiC wafers have estimated by Raman spectrum. It was observed that the carrier mobility is low in the area far from seed crystal with compared to other places.

  • This article investigates numerically the carrier-phonon interactions in thin gallium arsenide (GaAs) film structures irradiated by subpicosecond laser pulses to figure out the role of several recombination processes on the energy transport during laser pulses and to examine the effects of laser fluences and pulses on non-equilibrium energy transfer characteristics in thin film structures. The self-consistent hydrodynamic equations derived from the Boltzmann transport equations are established for carriers and two different types of phonons, i.e., acoustic phonons and longitudinal optical (LO) phonons. From the results, it is found that the two-peak structure of carrier temperatures depends mainly on the pulse durations, laser fluences, and nonradiative recombination processes, two different phonons are in nonequilibrium state within such lagging times, and this lagging effect can be neglected for longer pulses. Finally, at the initial stage of laser irradiation, SRH recombination rates increases sufficiently because the abrupt increase in carrier number density no longer permits Auger recombination to be activated. For thin GaAs film structures, it is thus seen that Auger recombination is negligible even at high temperature during laser irradiation.

  • A comparison between sea trial measurements and full-scale CFD results is presented for two self-propelled ships. Two ships considered in the present study are: a general cargo carrier at Froude number $F_n=0:182$ and a car carrier at $F_n=0:254$. For the general cargo carrier, the propeller rotation rate is fixed and the achieved speed and trim are compared to sea trials, while for the car carrier, the propeller rotation rate is adjusted to achieve the 80% MCR. In addition, three grids are used for each ship in order to assess the grid refinement sensitivity. All simulations are performed using the Naval Hydro pack based on foam-extend, a community driven fork of the OpenFOAM software. The results demonstrate the possibility of using high-fidelity numerical methods to directly calculate ship scale flow characteristics, including the effects of free surface, non-linearity, turbulence and the interaction between propeller, hull and the flow field.

  • Carrier billing services market is growing according to the technical development. This study investigated the limiting factor in carrier billing services and suggested the improvement factor for it using the Delphi Method. The amount money to use in carrier billing charges should be provided in their credit based and the accumulated payment using a text message is displayed and also telecommunications carriers and carrier billing firms are the least responsible for consumer harm. It also provides administrative responsibility for communications carriers and billing services company for non recognition and payment. The service provider to prove negligence not proven by consumer and telecommunications billing service delinquency rate is applied at a rate such as a credit card and it also should integrate retail payment and service fee. This study will contribute to the communication billing services market growth through improved communication billing service. Further research is needed to continue the study of the factors that emerged from communication and billing services due to emerging technologies and services.

  • A new local model for impact ionization coefficients is proposed to account for a non-local effect. New model uses an effective electric field which comes from the path integral of a tangent electric field at an arbitrary point. The model consists of local variables, such as doping concentration, carrier concentration and gradient of the field, and can be easily applied to a conventional drift-diffusion device simulator. By comparing the results with Monte Carlo simulation, it is confirmed that new model explains the non-local effect fairly well.

  • This study investigated the effects of polyurethane foam on continuous hydrogen production from mixed wastes. Molasses was co-fermented with non-pretreated sewage sludge in a sequencing batch reactor. The results indicated that the addition of polyurethane foams as a microbial carrier in the reactor mitigated biomass loss at HRT 12 h, while most of the biomass was washed out during the operation period with no carrier. There was a stable hydrogen production rate of $0.4L-H_2/l/d$ in the carrier-sequencing batch reactor. Suspended biomass in the carrier-reactor indicated it possessed the highest specific hydrogen production rate ($241{\pm}4ml-H_2/g\;VSS/d$) when compared to that of biomass on the surface ($133{\pm}10ml-H_2/g\;VSS/d$) or inner carrier ($95{\pm}14ml-H_2/g\;VSS/d$).

  • The selective permeate transport characteristics of iodine ion at follicle cell membrane model in thyroid which irradiated by high energy x-ray(linac 6 MV) was investigated. The follicle cell membrane model used in this experiment was a polysulfonated copolymerized membrane of poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-acrylonitrile:VP-AN). The difference of membrane thickness [2 mole AN%(w/w)], fixed carrier concentration[VP-AN%(w/w)], OH- concentration were occurred at difference of I- concentration and quantity of thyroid hormone, respectively. The tensile strength in fixed carrier concentration[VP-AN% (w/w): 0-62 %] of irradiated membrane was found to be decreased about 1.2-1.8 times than non-irradiated membrane. The I- selective permeate initial flux with increase of membrane thickness [2mole AN%(w/w)], fixed carrier concentration[VP-AN%(w/ w)], OH- concentration in irradiated membrane were found to be decreased about 2.1-4.5 times, about 2.2-2.5 times, about 2.1-2.67 times than non-irradiated membrane, respectively. As a result, the quantity of thyroid hormone was decreased at irradiated membrane than non-irradiated membrane. The decrease of thyroid hormone was occurred at hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, thyroid cancer, and so on. As the thyroid hormone in cell membrane model were abnormal, cell damages were appeared at cell.
