In the paper, we builds an advanced new credit evaluation system for Micro-small sized individual firms through appropriate evaluation factors derived by logistic regression analysis for credit evaluation model using in Korean Federation of Credit Guarantee Foundations, and the weights of factors computed by analytic hierarchy process(AHP). Industry characteristics are more applied to previous credit model with the additional the financial fact-information and non-financial judgement-information. Our results show that the financial factors have become more important than three years ago. Moreover, in the non-financial factors, the fact-information factors consider more important then the judgement-information factors. A new credit evaluation system is developed based on this credit evaluation model.
In this study, the effects of the founder's characteristics on venture's business success factors for pet business was investigated focused on the pet hospitals. The effects of the founder's background and psychological characteristics, the business start-up preparing procedure characteristics, and service factor characteristics for customers on the business performance was analyzed by classifying it into financial business performance and non-financial business performance for the he pet hospitals. The questionnaire survey for 150 pet hospitals located in Seoul and Gyunggi-do area was performed, and the main conclusions was drawn as follows. First, as a result of research model analysis for financial business performance among the business performance, it was analyzed that the founder's academic background factor among the founder's background factors had a statistically significantly negative Influence on the financial business performance, on the contrary, the control locus factor among the founder's psychological factors, and the financing factor among the business start-up preparing procedure factors had a statistically significantly positive influence on the financial business performance. Second, as a result of research model analysis for non-financial business performance among the business performance, it was analyzed that the danger acceptance propensity factor among the business start-up preparing procedure factors and the intangible service quality factor among the service quality factors had a statistically significantly positive influence on the non-financial business performance.

In the situation where the uncertainty of the environment of organizations is high and dynamic, the competitive advantage should be secured and maintained through securing knowledge-based intangible assets rather than tangible assets. human resources management in the service industry is more important than in any other industries. Accordingly, based on preceding researches, this study examines the adoption factors and the results of organizations with regard to the e-HRM system as IT-based information system. The proof results are summarized as follows. First, the degree of IS maturity in the information technology factors was found to have effects on the business results of organizations (financial and non-financial results) and the IS/IT based structure was found to have significant effects on financial results (productivity, growth potential) but no effects on non-financial results (revitalization of organizations, the degree of total satisfaction). Second, the degree of competition, the degree of information technology and environmental uncertainty factors in environmental factors were found to have effects on financial results (productivity, growth potential) but no effects on non-financial results (the revitalization of organizations, the degree of total satisfaction). Third, it can be seen that the scales of organizations partially play the adjustment role between information technology factors and environmental factors and the business results of organizations. Based on these results, we can cautiously draw the conclusion that it is effective in enhancing financial results (productivity, growth potential) of organizations to adopt the e-HRM system in the case of large scale organizations in the service industry.
Purpose - This article aims to present and test a model regarding franchisors' supporting activities that may positively influence franchisees' attitude toward the franchising headquarter and their own business performance. Moreover, the authors examine the moderating effect of competitive intensity between franchisee attitude and business performance. Most previous research focused on behavioral performance measurements such as satisfaction, trust, and commitment. There are few empirical studies that focus on financial performance data because it is difficult to determine a relational mechanism between behavioral and financial performance. Moreover, financial data is confidential and difficult to collect in many cases. However, this study measures financial performance (e.g., sales revenue per square meter) differently than most previous research, which is mostly focused on the behavioral performance measurements. Research design, data, and methodology - To test our hypotheses, we selected 137 franchisee managers who are running chains of one of the foremost bakery franchise brands in South Korea. This study carefully investigated the reliability, content validity, convergent validity, and discriminant validity of the proposed instrument by analyzing the data obtained from the samples. The data was analyzed using the AMOS structural equation modeling program. Results - The results indicated that: non-financial support activities (e.g., information exchange and communication) had a positive impact on the franchisee attitude toward the franchising headquarter. The franchisee attitude in turn had a positive effect on the headquarters' business performance. Furthermore, competitive intensity could enhance the relationship between franchisee attitude toward franchising headquarter and business performance in a local franchise market. However, financial support activities (e.g., rewards and promotional support) and training had no relationship with either franchisee attitude or business performance. Conclusions - This study provides some practical implications to franchisors in terms of franchise operation and store opening strategies. With respect to the franchise operation strategy, franchisors need to focus on non-financial rather than financial support. Most franchisees consider the necessity of financial support activities and not their sufficiency because these activities are specified in their franchise contract. In addition, it is important for franchisees to maintain a positive attitude for the franchise headquarters. The franchisees with a positive attitude for the franchisor can show a high degree of solidarity for various support activities, and it consequently determines franchisees' sales performance. In terms of franchise store opening strategy, this study suggests an additional criterion that can be considered in determining the location of direct and non-direct management stores (e.g., franchisees' stores). In this research, franchise stores located within high level of competitive intensity are shown to have a high relationship between franchisee attitudes of franchisor support activities and business performance compared to the franchisees located within low competitive intensity level. This result shows that opening non-direct franchise stores is more effective than direct stores in higher competitive market situations. Research contribution, implications, and further research directions are discussed at the end of the paper.

This study investigated the relationship between the social legitimacy and financial performance perceived for venture company. In particular, social legitimacy was classified into prior experiences, organizational competency, market-related, and government-related legitimacy according to the characteristics of venture businesses, and its effect on the financial and non-financial performance of venture businesses was verified. Data were collected by conducting a survey among 300 domestic venture businesses. According to the results it can be understood that social legitimacy affects the financial and non-financial performance of venture businesses. In other words, it was found that the acquisition of resources from external investors and governments which is justified by stakeholder and investors, venture business executives and employees' prior experience such as start-up experience, and retention of outstanding talent, etc., developing trust from the market and consumers through high organizational competency and differentiated product provision, have a positive effect on the financial and non-financial performance of venture companies. It can be interpreted that higher survival is possible through running the venture businesses with social legitimacy. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it presents a new standard for survival through measuring the relationship of the influence on substantial performance of venture businesses by expanding the existing sociological research to business management research.

NIST SP 800-90B is developed to evaluate the security of entropy sources. As SP 800-90B was updated to Second Draft, Estimators with predictors were added at Non-IID track. Though the predictors are known as detecting periodic property of noise sources, periodic properties which are detected by predictor are not clearly known. In this paper, we experiment to find properties of predictors. Once, by experiments we have a result that the min-entropy of Non-IID noise sources is generally determined by tests except for estimators with predictors. And then through presenting various experimental results for clarifying periodic properties detected by predictor, we experimentally analyze on its meaning and role of predictor estimation.

The government is promoting policies to increase policy efficiency by supporting corporate growth through corporate support and establishing the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as a control tower for corporate support projects. However, opinions on the efficiency of the government's corporate support project are divided, and this study aims to check how the government's corporate support project affects corporate performance and how absorption capacity and satisfaction, which are internal factors, affect corporate growth. Research was conducted on companies receiving government corporate support projects, and previous studies focused on financial support among government corporate support projects, while the effect of government corporate support was analyzed by dividing government support projects into financial and non-financial support, and absorption capabilities and corporate support satisfaction were analyzed. Through this, the effect on corporate financial performance and non-financial performance was empirically analyzed according to the mediating effect of absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction in the government's corporate support project. As a result, both the government's financial and non-financial support had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance, and it was confirmed that both absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction mediate both financial and non-financial performance, and it was analyzed that it had a positive (+) effect. In order to improve the absorption capacity of a company, it is expected that it will be meaningful to improve the efficiency of the business by defining the problems faced by the company and suggesting solutions through the establishment of a supplier and consumer network.
An economic signal in the real world usually reflects complex phenomena. One may have difficulty both extracting and interpreting information embedded in such a signal. A natural way to reduce complexity is to decompose the original signal into several simple components, and then analyze each component. Spectral analysis (Priestley, 1981) provides a tool to analyze such signals under the assumption that the time series is stationary. However when the signal is subject to non-stationary and nonlinear characteristics such as amplitude and frequency modulation along time scale, spectral analysis is not suitable. Huang et al. (1998b, 1999) proposed a data-adaptive decomposition method called empirical mode decomposition and then applied Hilbert spectral analysis to decomposed signals called intrinsic mode function. Huang et al. (1998b, 1999) named this two step procedure the Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT). Because of its robustness in the presence of nonlinearity and non-stationarity, HHT has been used in various fields. In this paper, we discuss the applications of the HHT and demonstrate its promising potential for non-stationary financial time series data provided through a Korean stock price index.

Building a target capital structure is one of the most important decisions in corporate financial management. The purpose of this article is to identify the determinants of capital structure and adjustment mechanism toward the target leverage. The partial adjustment model was applied on a sample of 306 non-financial companies listed on Vietnam stock exchange market during the period of 2008-2017. By the fixed effect model estimation method, the research results have discovered the factors of growth opportunities, firm size, tangible fixed assets and firm's unique characteristics have a positive effect on the target capital structure of enterprises. Besides, profitability and dividend payment have a negative effect on the target capital structure of enterprises. Accordingly, the research results show that the average adjustment speed toward target leverage of the firms is 90.03%. Research results also demonstrate firms have higher or lower debt ratio than the target debt ratio, capital surplus or capital deficit also have an impact on the adjustment rate toward the target capital structure. The research results are consistent with the Dynamic Trade-off Theory. From this result, this article has provided policy implications for non-financial companies listed on Vietnam's stock market in building a reasonable target capital structure according to operating timeline to maximize enterprise value.
Purpose - The aim of this study is to explore the effectiveness in educational differences between students of the government's financial-funded groups and the non-financial-funded groups at a university in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The study was conducted using a survey tool of National Assessment for Student Engagement in Learning. In total, 334 participants were surveyed, of which 290 students were participants in economic support program and 44 were nonattendance program students. The general characteristics of all of the participants were investigated by frequency analysis. The analysis of participants' collective characteristics used independent t and f-test, and one-way ANOVA with IBM SPSS Statistics package program 22.0. Results - The number of participating students is higher than that of non-participating students in relation to in-activities of university immersion, but the number of participating students is lower than that of non-participating students in relation to in-quality of student support. However, there was no statistical significance. The confidence coefficient of the university-immersion and student support questionnaire is 0.860 and 0.913, respectively. Conclusions - There is no significant difference in the activities of university immersion and student support between students who participate in the economic support program and those who do not.
