  • On purpose of relative comparison of between air-vent attached pattern and non attached one, casting tests were accomplished by castability analysis unrig wax screen mesh pattern. Experimental specimens are divided Into 4groups. 1) Air-vent attached pattern with high casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 2.5turn). 2) Air-vent attached pattern with low casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 1.5turn). 3) Air vent non attached pattern with high casting pressure(coil spring type centrifugal casting machine 2.5turn). 4) Air-vent non attached pattern with low casting pressure(coil spring type centrifrgal casting machine 1.5turn). The main results are as follows : 1) The condition of high casting pressure no.1, no.3 were showed perfect castability. 2) The condition of low-casting pressure, there is a wide difference between no.2, no.4 group. Castability of no.2 group preferable to no.4 group(p<0.001). 3) Low casting pressure and complex shape cause the low-castability. So it is recommanded that use of air-vent in case of complex shaped wax pattern with low easting pressure.

  • Current ballast water treatment technologies are applying chemical or electrical treatment technology which are not free from secondary environmental pollution. The purpose of this study is to treat the ballast water by shear stress without an additional environmental pollution and to find out the optimal treatment apparatus. We tried to treat ballast water by applying shear stress with two different type of combination of inner and outer cylinder, such as non-pattern type and groove type. In the case of non-pattern type of inner and outer cylinder, sterilization effect was comparatively low because of a slip between inner and outer cylinder. But in the case of groove type of inner and outer cylinder, sterilization effect was superior to the non-pattern type. With a same revolutional speed of 8000rpm, an extinction effect was acquired in the gap of 1 mm of inner and outer cylinder at non-pattern type, but 3mm of that of groove type.

  • Clinical and epedemiologic studies of coronary heart disease(CHD)have from time to time over the last three decades found associations between prevalence of CHD and behavioral attributes and cigarette smoking. The main purpose of this study is reduced to major risk factor of coronary heart disease through prohibition of smoking and control of behavior pattern. The subjects consisted of 120 smokers and 90 non-smokers who were married men older than 30 years working in officers. The officers were surveyed by means of questionnaire September 26 through October 6, 1989. The Instruments used for this study was a self-administered measurement tool composed of 59 items was made through modifications of Jenkuns Activity Survery(JAS). The Data were analysed by SAS(Statistical Analsis System) program personal computer. The statistical technique used for this study were Frequency, x$^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The 15 items were chosen with items above 0.3 of the factor loading in the factor analysis. In the first factor analysis 19 factors were extracted and accounted for 86% of the total variance. However when the number of factors were limited to 3 in order to derive Jenkins classification, three factors were derived. There names are Job-Involvement, Speed & Impatience, Hard-Driving. Each of them includes 21 items, 21 and 9, respectively. The results of this study were as follow : 1. The score of the smoker group and non-smoker group in Job-Involvement(t=5.7147, p<0.0001), Speed & Impatience(t=4.6756, p<.0001), Hard-Driving(t=8.0822, p<.0001) and total type A behavior pattern showed statistically significant differences(t=8.1224, p<.0001). 2. The score of type A behavior pattern by number of cigarettes smoked daily were not statistically significant differences. 3. The score of type A behavior pattern by duration of smoking were not significant differences. It was concluded that the relationship between smokers and non - smokers of type A behavior pattern was statistically significant difference but number of cigarettes smoked daily and duration of smoking were not significant differences. Therefore this study is needed to adequate nursing intervention of type A behavior pattern in order to elevated to educational effect for prohibition of cigarette smoking.

  • With the increasing danger of personal information being exposed, a technique to protect personal information by identifying a non-user in case it is exposed. A study to construct a neural network recognizer for developing a economical and effective user protecting system. For this, time variables regarding user typing patterns from a pattern extraction device. With the variations in the standard deviation for the collected time variables, non-user patterns were generated. The recognition performance increased with the increase in the standard deviation and a higher recognition was achieved at 2.5. Also, five types of training data were generated and the recognition performance was examined as a function of the number of non-user patterns. With the increase in non-suer patterns, the recognition error quantified in the root mean square error (RMSE) was reduced. The smallest RMSE was obtained at the type 5 and 90 non-user patterns. In overall, the type 3 model yielded the highest recognition accuracy Particularly, a perfect recognition of 100% was achieved at 45 non-user patterns.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze trends of posture pattern in Korean literature. Methods : We searched four Korean databases (NDSL, RISS, OASIS, and KISTI) and classified the studies according to publication year and the study type. Additionally, we analyzed clinical research papers according to the predominant reported posture pattern, the type of study, assessment for clinical outcomes. Results : In total, 50 published studies were included in our analysis, and we determined the following: By study type, there were 37 interventional studies, 6 observational studies and 7 non-clinical research papers. In the interventional studies, the most common posture pattern was the forward head posture pattern, which was investigated in 22 studies. As a tool for evaluating posture pattern, cervical vertebral angle and the height of the scapula inferior angle are used most. Conclusions : Although this study has provided insight into the commonly investigated posture patterns types in Korean clinical studies, further research is required and future studies should include randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews in their analyses.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song. For the purpose, this researcher classified types of Seon, found in the Chinese costume, in terms of composition method, decorative technique and used materials. In addition, the researcher attempted to analyze formative characteristics of Sean in accordance with the range and post of use, pattern and color combination. Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song can be classified into standard, decoration, application and Buseon in type. When the typical distribution of Seon expressed in the costume of Chinese Song, standard type was highest in percentage, especially different color type. Looking at the range of use, Seon was mainly used for outfits, especially Jikcheol(直?) and Hakchangeui for men and Baeja(背子) for women. Looking at the post of use, Seon was mainly used to edges of costume and sometimes also to seams. In regard to materials of Seon, they were selectively used depending on the existence or non-existence, size and brilliance or non-brilliance of pattern employed in the texture of Seon. The most commonly used pattern of Seon was single-type pattern, especially the pattern of plant. Pattern arrangement was most often filling in type. Concerning the color combination of Seon, men's dress most often used black-white combination, followed by different color combination while, women's dress most often employed complementary color combination, followed by different color combination.

  • Protective coveralls are very uncomfortable to work in comparison to ordinary top and bottom separated clothing. A pattern maker has to consider the size of the human body and human motion range when designing protective coverall patterns. It is difficult to produce well-fitted coveralls because of the lack of readymade patterns despite the increased need for protective coveralls at various jobs. Patterns are decomposed by unsewing 18 products in the domestic market to provide the fundamental information on developing patterns for protective coveralls. The characteristics and differences of pattern types are compared after grouping patterns with information taken from the analysis of the shapes and measurements of patterns from the acquired patterns. The results of the analysis showed that on-market protective coveralls were less curved but much linear when compared to ordinary clothing patterns; however, the breasts and crotch circumferences were very loose and bulky, which is quite different from the other all-in one style working clothes. For the pattern shapes, patterns are classified into waistline-seamed and bustline-seamed types. The result of the hierarchical cluster analysis with 27 measurement variables were classified into four groups. Types by shape and measurements were related to each other; therefore, we expect the information of each type to be used in developing protective clothing patterns.

  • In this paper, a nonlinear numerical method to solve the large deflection problem is introduced. And the non-dimensional load-deflection behavior of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) plates is parametrically investigated. The large deflection problem is formulated according to the von Kármán nonlinear theory and the (1,1,0)* hierarchical model, and it is approximated by 2-D natural element method (NEM). The shear locking phenomenon is suppressed by the selectively reduced integration method. The nonlinear matrix equations are solved by combining the incremental loading scheme and the Newton-Raphson iteration method. The proposed method is validated from the benchmark experiments, where the propose method shows an excellent agreement with the reference methods. The nonlinear behavior of FG-CNTRC plates is evaluated in terms of the non-dimensional load-deflection curve, and it is parametrically investigated with respect to the existence/non-existence and gradient pattern of CNTs, the width-to-thickness and aspect ratios of plates and the type of boundary conditions. The non-dimensional central deflection is significantly reduced when CNTs and added, and it decreases with the volume fraction of CNTs. But, it shows a uniform increase in proportion to the width-to-thickness and aspect ratios. Both the gradient pattern of CNTs and the type of boundary conditions do also show the remarkable effects.

  • Background and Purpose: To explore anatomic substrate of specific wandering patterns in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) by performing positron emission tomography with $^{18}F$ fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET). Methods: Drug-naïve AD patients with wandering (n=80) and without wandering (n=262) were recruited. First, the specific pattern of wandering type was operationally classified according to specific wandering score and clinical assessment. Second, brain FDG PET was performed and fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake differences of specific brain regions according to wandering patterns were compared to those of non-wanderers. Results: In patients with pacing pattern, FDG PET showed significant lower FDG uptake in both middle cingulum and left putamen cluster compared to non-wanderers. The right precuneus and supplementary motor area in patients with random pattern and left calcarine sulcus, right calcarine sulcus, right middle cingulum, and right post central gyrus in patients with lapping pattern had significantly lower FDG uptake compared to non-wanderers. Conclusions: This study showed that wandering in patients with AD had three distinct patterns. These specific patterns showed significant lower FDG uptake in specific brain areas compared to non-wanderers.
