지향성 보청기 성능 검사 장치 개발 (Development of Directional Digital Hearing Aid Performance Testing System)

  • The most recent trend on digital hearing aid is to increase the ratio of signal to noise by directivity or to develop noise reduction algorithm inside DSP IC chip. This paper designed, fabricated and tested a digital hearing aid directivity testing device in which a micro-mouse-1ike the stepping motor with a speaker rotates around an examinant. Both ears of the examinant were fixed with ITE hearing aids in order to response to receiving sound. The experimental results were compared with a boundary element method program for verification. The diameter of the directivity testing device was 2 [m] and the micro-mouse was precisely controlled by PICBASIC micro processor.

저소음 청소기 개발 (Low Noise Vacuum Cleaner Design)

  • Vacuum cleaner is a close life product that can remove various dusts from our surroundings. However well vacuum cleaner clean our environments, many people are looking away from it, due to its loud noise. Its noise causes a big trouble in the usual life, for example, catch calls, TV watching and discussing etc. To reduce these inconveniences, noise reduction methods and systematic design of low noise vacuum cleaner are studied in this paper. At first, sound quality investigation is performed to get the noise level and quality that make people TV watching and catch calls available. Based on the European and domestic customer SQ survey result, sound power, peak noise level and target sound spectrum guideline are studied and introduced. As a second, precise product sound spectrums are designed into each part based on the sound quality result. Fan-motor, brush, mainbody, cyclone spectrums are decided to get the final target sound based on the contribution level. Fan-motor is the major noise source of vacuum cleaner. Specially, its peak sound, RPM peak and BPF Peak, cause the people nervous. To reduce these peak sounds, high rotating impeller and diffuser are focused due to its interaction. A lot of experimental and numerical tests, operation points are investigated and optimization of flow path area between diffusers is performed. As a bagless device, cyclones are one of the major noise sources of vacuum cleaner. To reduce its noise, previous research is used and adopted well. Brush is the most difficult part to reduce noise. Its noise sources are all comes from aero-acoustic phenomena. Numerical analysis helps the understanding of flow structure and pattern, and a lot of experimental test are performed to reduce the noise. Gaps between the carpet and brush are optimized and flow paths are re-designed to lower the noise. Reduction is performed with keeping the cleaning efficiency and handling power together and much reduction of noise is acquired. With all above parts, main-body design is studied. To do a systematic design, configuration design developments technique is introduced from airplane design and evolved with each component design. As a first configuration, fan-motor installation position is investigated and 10 configuration ideas are developed and tested. As a second step, reduced size and compressed configuration candidates are tested and evaluated by a lot of major factor. Noise, power, mass production availability, size, flow path are evaluated together. If noise reduction configuration results in other performance degrade, the noise reduction configuration is ineffective. As a third configuration, cyclones are introduced and the size is reduced one more time and fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh configuration are evolved with size and design image with noise and other performance indexes. Finally we can get a overall much noise level reduction configuration. All above investigations are adopted into vacuum cleaner design and final customer satisfaction tests in Europe are performed. 1st grade sound quality and lowest noise level of bagless vacuum cleaner are achieved.

  • 사물인터넷 기술을 활용하는 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 사물인터넷을 활용하는 스마트 웨어러블 기기의 상황인식 기능을 향상시키기 위하여 센서부의 이벤트 데이터에 대한 잡음 제거방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 저역필터를 이용함으로써 비정상적으로 측정된 값에 대한 감쇠를 유도하고 센서의 이벤트 데이터를 이용한 상황 인지에서 유익을 얻을 수 있었다. 스마트 폰과 스마트워치에 기본 내장되어 있는 3축 가속도 센서가 감지하여 보고한 이벤트 데이터를 활용하여 검증한 결과 비정상적으로 과도하게 측정되어 입수된 잡음 값에 대한 값에 대한 감쇠처리를 실행할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 잡음이 제거된 값의 패턴을 분석함으로서 실시간 상황인식에 필요한 다양한 패턴 자료를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) have become a major source of conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) which is the combination between differential mode (DM) noise and common mode (CM) noise. This paper presents the conducted EMI reduction approach in flyback switched mode power supply by rerouting for circuit balance to reduce common mode noise. And differential mode noise can be reduce by adding $c_x$ capacitor across the input power line, and passive element to the gate drive of switching device MOSFET to slow down the switching times. This combination of our approach is the effective way to reduce the conducted EMI and it is also a cost effective for product design

자기공명영상(MRI) 검사 시 방사선사의 소음노출 (Noise Exposure of Radiographer Caused by Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI))

  • 본 연구는 MRI 검사로 인하여 방사선사가 노출되는 소음의 양을 평가하여 소음저감 시설의 필요성과 제도 마련을 제안하고자 하였다. 소음측정은 대전광역시 S 종합병원의 1.5 Tesla MRI 장비(7개 검사)와 3.0 Tesla MRI 장비(16개 검사)를 대상으로 하였고, 소음측정기는 SC-804를 사용하였다. 소음측정 거리는 MRI 검사실 방음문에서 검사자의 업무 위치까지 100cm 이며, 측정 높이는 업무 시 검사자의 귀 높이 100cm 이다. 검사별 소음측정은 각 검사의 시퀀스(Sequence)마다 발생되는 소음 수치를 관측하여 20초마다 기록하였고 검사별 3회씩 측정하여 평균값을 제시하였다. 연구결과 방사선사가 노출되는 소음의 최댓값은 73.3 dB(A)로 3.0 Tesla 장비에서 시행한 MRCP 검사, 검사별 평균소음의 최댓값은 66.9(3.1) dB(A)로 역시 3.0 Tesla 장비에서 시행한 Myelogram 검사이다. 장비별 평균소음은 3.0 Tesla 장비가 61.9(4.1) dB(A), 1.5 Tesla 장비가 52.0(3.1) dB(A)로 3.0 Tesla MRI 장비가 약 10 dB(A) 정도 높았다(p<0.001). 방사선사가 노출되는 소음의 양은 청력에 영향을 미치는 수준은 아니지만 비청력적영향이 발생할 수 있는 수준이다. 소음을 저감하기 위해 MRI 조정실 후면에 커튼을 설치하여 반사음을 제거할 수 있지만, 제도 마련이 선행되어야 할 것이다.

제조공정용 Fast Back 이송장치 진동·소음 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vibration & Noise Reduction of Fast Back Feeding Device for Manufacturing Process)

  • 본 논문은 스낵식품 가공 공정라인에서 사용하는 설비 중 하나로 이송물의 관성을 이용한 제조공정용 Fast Back 이송장치이다. 기존의 이송 장치는 벨트 컨베이어와 기계식 크랭크를 적용한 구동 장치로써 소음과 진동이 크고 환경 공해 발생하며 주기적인 유지보수가 필요하다. 이로 인해 본 논문에서는 제안하는 Fast Back 이송 장치는 크랭크식 구동장치 부분을 리니어 서보모터로 대체하고 가속에 따른 힘의 평형을 맞추기 위한 평형추 장치를 적용하여 안정된 동작을 확보하였다. 평형추 장치는 주기적으로 발생하는 충격형태의 가진력을 상쇄 시키는 것으로 진동해석을 통해 진동의 주요 원인을 파악하고 저감대책을 수립하였다. 시제품 제작을 통한 진동시험에서 약 10배 정도의 진동 저감에 대한 유효성을 검증하였다. 또한, PLC제어를 통한 전진과 후진에서의 속도, 가속도 조정을 가능하게 설계함으로써 직선형 구동력을 직접 발생시켜 별도의 기계적 변환장치가 필요하지 않아 에너지 손실이나 소음 및 진동을 발생시키지 않고 운전 속도에도 제한을 받지 않음을 증명하였다.

철도차량 운행시 차륜방사소음 저감장치에 관한 연구 (A Study on Wheel Noise Reduction Device for Railway Vehicle)

  • The noise emitted during train operation is generated with various reasons. It is known that the major noise generation is classified according to the ranges of train speed; that is, engine noise at lower speed range, rolling noise at medium speed range, and air-borne noise at higher speed range. These noises are transmitted in combined form with the noises generated from track components and under-carriage, etc. The rolling noise as a major noise at medium speed range is caused by the vibration occurred at wheel/rail interface. The vibration occurred at wheel/rail interface is transmitted to wheel and rail, and this vibration is emitted from wheel and rail as a noise. The object of this study is to investigate the effect of wheel damper of low noise wheel. In this study theoretical and experimental analysis is performed by numerical model calculations and impact test.

  • Axial fans are widely used for automotive engine cooling device due to their ability to produce high flow rate to keep engine cool. At the same time, the noise generated by these fans causes one of the most serious problems. Especially, engine cooling fan noise in idle condition of a car is noticeable. Therefore, the high efficient and low-noise fan is seriously needed. When a new fan system is designed, system resistance and non-uniform inflow are the key factors to get the high performance and low noise fan system. In this study, experimental study on the fan and system was carried out and brought a successful result of performance and noise from a designed fan. And through the modification of the fan system, the fan produced more flow rate and became less noisy.

저작운동으로 인한 진동 잡음 신호의 경감을 위한 측두골 이식형 마이크로폰의 설계 (The Design of Temporal Bone Type Implantable Microphone for Reduction of the Vibrational Noise due to Masticatory Movement)

  • A microphone for fully implantable hearing device was generally implanted under the skin of the temporal bone. So, the implanted microphone's characteristics can be affected by the accompanying noise due to masticatory movement. In this paper, the implantable microphone with 2-channels structure was designed for reduction of the generated noise signal by masticatory movement. And an experimental model for generation of the noise by masticatory movement was developed with considering the characteristics of human temporal bone and skin. Using the model, the speech signal by a speaker and the artificial noise by a vibrator were supplied simultaneously into the experimental model, the electrical signals were measured at the proposed microphone. The collected signals were processed using a general adaptive filter with least mean square(LMS) algorithm. To confirm performance of the proposed methods, the correlation coefficient and the signal to noise ratio(SNR) before and after the signal processing were calculated. Finally, the results were compared each other.

  • As the data storage device market demands higher data transfer rate with higher track density. TMR budget is to be tighter so that even minor improvement is sought in HDD development fields. Disk flutter associated with the turbulent air flow inside the chamber becomes of great interest for the reduction of PES especially at OD. A comparative transient turbulent flow study is presented in this paper for the reduction of disk flutter with different housing designs.
