웨이브릿 변환 및 M-채널 서브밴드 QMF 필터뱅크를 이용한 적응 능동잡음제거 모델 (An Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling Model Using Wavelet Transform and M-channel Subband QMF Filter Banks)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응필터를 기반으로 한 웨이브릿 변환 및 서브밴드 필터뱅크를 사용한 능동잡음제거의 모델을 제안한다. 분해 필터뱅크는 입력 및 오차신호를 저주파 및 고주파영역의 QMF 필터뱅크로 분해하며, 각 필터뱅크 에는 dyadic tree 구조를 갖는 웨이브릿 필터를 사용한다. 분해된 입력 및 오차신호는 filtered-X LMS 알고리듬를 사용하여 각 서브밴드의 적응 필터계수를 새롭게 갱신시킨다. 합성 필터뱅크는 그리고 각 서브밴드의 적응필터 출력신호를 합성한 후 완전복원이 되는 광대역의 출력신호를 만든다. 분해 및 합성 필터뱅크는 완전복원을 위하여 공액직교필터를 사용한다. 또한 오차경로의 전달특성을 온라인 추정하기 위한 지연 LMS 알고리듬 모델은 이득과 시간지연인자만을 사용한다. 따라서 제안한 적응 능동잡음제거 모델은 웨이브릿 서브밴드 필터뱅크를 사용하여 계산량과 수렴속도에 유리한 시스템이 되도록 제시한다.

주파수 전압 변환기와 루프 필터 전압 변환기를 이용한 저잡음 위상고정루프 (A low noise PLL with frequency voltage converter and loop filter voltage detector)

  • 본 논문은 루프필터 전압 감지기와 주파수 전압 변환기를 이용하여 잡음 특성을 개선한 위상고정루프의 구조를 제안한다. 루프 필터 전압 변화는 저항과 커패시턴스로 구성된 회로에 의해서 출력이 결정된다. 시정수 값이 작은 회로를 지나는 신호는 루프 필터의 평균 출력 전압과 거의 같은 값을 가진다. 시정수 값이 큰 회로를 지나는 신호는 루프 필터 평균 출력 값을 가지며, 추가된 루프필터 전압 감지기에서 기준 신호가 된다. 루프필터 전압 감지기 출력은 보조 전하펌프의 전류 크기를 제어한다. 루프 필터 출력 전압이 상승하면 루프필터 전압 감지기는 루프 필터 출력 전압을 하강하게 하고, 또는 루프 필터 출력 전압이 하강하면 루프필터 전압 감지기는 루프 필터 출력 전압을 상승하게 한다. 또한 주파수 전압 변환기도 필터 출력 전압 변동 폭을 줄여주어 제안된 위상고정루프의 잡음 특성을 개선해준다. 제안된 위상고정루프는 1.8V 0.18㎛ CMOS 공정을 이용하여 설계한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 0.854ps 지터와 30㎲ 위상 고정 시간을 보여준다.

A Fault Detection and Exclusion Algorithm using Particle Filters for non-Gaussian GNSS Measurement Noise

  • Safety-critical navigation systems have to provide 'reliable' position solutions, i.e., they must detect and exclude measurement or system faults and estimate the uncertainty of the solution. To obtain more accurate and reliable navigation systems, various filtering methods have been employed to reduce measurement noise level, or integrate sensors, such as global navigation satellite system/inertial navigation system (GNSS/INS) integration. Recently, particle filters have attracted attention, because they can deal with nonlinear/non-Gaussian systems. In most GNSS applications, the GNSS measurement noise is assumed to follow a Gaussian distribution, but this is not true. Therefore, we have proposed a fault detection and exclusion method using particle filters assuming non-Gaussian measurement noise. The performance of our method was contrasted with that of conventional Kalman filter methods with an assumed Gaussian noise. Since the Kalman filters presume that measurement noise follows a Gaussian distribution, they used an overbounded standard deviation to represent the measurement noise distribution, and since the overbound standard deviations were too conservative compared to the actual distributions, this degraded the integrity-monitoring performance of the filters. A simulation was performed to show the improvement in performance of our proposed particle filter method by not using the sigma overbounding. The results show that our method could detect smaller measurement biases and reduced the protection level by 30% versus the Kalman filter method based on an overbound sigma, which motivates us to use an actual noise model instead of the overbounding or improve the overbounding methods.

  • The method of induction noise reduction can be classified by using passive control or active control method. However, the passive control method has a demerit to reduce the effect of noise reduction to low frequency (below) 500Hz) range and to be limited in a space of the engine room. Whereas, the active control method can overcome the demerit of passive control method. The algorithm of active control is mostly used in LMS (Least-Mean-Square) algorithm because it can obtain the complex transfer function easily in real-time. Especially, Filtered-X LMS (FXLMS) algorithm is applied to an ANC system. However, the convergence performance of LMS algorithm could not match if the FXLMS algorithm is applied to an active control of the induction noise under rapidly accelerated driving conditions. So, in order to solve the problem in this study, the Moving Bandpass Filter(MBPF) was proposed and implemented. The ANC using MBPF for the reduction of the induction noise shows that more noise reduction as 4dB than without MBPF.

변수내장형 다채널 위너필터를 위한 목적신호대잡음 기여비를 이용한 잡음추정기법 (Noise Statistics Estimation Using Target-to-Noise Contribution Ratio for Parameterized Multichannel Wiener Filter)

  • 변수내장형 다채널 위너 필터는 내장된 변수를 이용하여 잔여잡음과 신호왜곡 간의 트레이드오프를 조절할 수 있는 선형 필터이다. 이러한 변수내장형 다채널 위너필터를 적용하기 위해서는 정확한 잡음추정이 중요한데 널리 쓰이는 다채널 최소 제어 재귀 평균 기법이 있다. 하지만 다채널 최소 제어 재귀 평균 기법은 방향성 간섭 신호가 존재할 경우 잡음추정의 정확도가 하락하여 변수내장형 다채널 위너필터의 성능이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 변수내장형 다채널 위너필터를 위한 새로운 잡음 추정 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 주로 잡음 섞인 마이크로폰 입력 신호의 전력 스펙트럼 밀도에 대해 고유값 분해, 방향성 정보를 이용한 목적신호의 기여도 추정, 목적신호의 기여도를 보다 합리적으로 추정하기 위한 지수 가중치 부가의 일련의 과정을 수행한다. 제안한 방법을 평가하기 위해 신호대잡음비, 음성왜곡도 등의 총 4가지 객관적 성능 평가 방법을 이용하여 기존의 방법과 비교하였다. 실험을 통해 방향성 간섭신호가 존재하는 환경에서 제안한 잡음 추정기법을 적용한 다채널 위너필터의 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

  • A new speech enhancement algorithm for speech corrupted by slowly varying additive colored noise is suggested based on a state-space signal model. Due to the FIR structure and the unimportance of long-term past information, the receding horizon (RH) FIR filter known to be a best linear unbiased estimation (BLUE) filter is utilized in order to obtain noise-suppressed speech signal. As a special case of the colored noise problem, the suggested approach is generalized to perform the single blind signal separation of two speech signals. It is shown that the exact speech signal is obtained when an incoming speech signal is noise-free.

디지털 셀룰라 시스템을 위한 개선된 GMSK 직교 변조기의 설계 (A design of an improved GMSK quadrature modulator for digital cellular system)

  • We propose the improved GMSK (gaussian-filtered minimum shift keying) quadrature modulator using the FIR(finite impulse response )filter whose coefficients are obtained form the differnce of phase response, and design its ASIC (applicaton specific integrated circuit) which can be used for GSM (global system for mobile communication) digital cellular system and DCS 1800 (digital cellular system at 1800MHz) personal communication system. Input data become quantized I and Q channel 10 bit signal through cosine and sine ROM mapping after being filtered by the FIR filter whose normalized bandwidth is 0.3 and designed by considering intersymbol interference as well as sampling ratio. These two signals become the GMSK modulated I and Q channel signal through DAC (digital-to-analog converter) and 7th order analog chebyshev LPF(low pass filter) respectively. The difference between the ideal analog signal and its digitized signal is analyzed in terms of sampling noise, quantization noise, truncation noise and coefficient noise. And the effect of the LPF following the DAC is considered. The ASIC design of the GMSK quadrature modulator is also confirmed by an experiment.

측정 잡음을 고려한 저차의 동적출력궤환 제어기 설계 (Low-Order Dynamic Output Feedback Controller Design Against Measurement Noise)

  • This paper considers a low-order dynamic output feedback controller design problem. Since the proposed control law inherently has a low-pass filter property, it can alleviate the mal-effects of the sensor noise without additional filter designs. Frequency domain analysis shows the characteristics of the proposed control law against measurement noise. The effectiveness of the proposed control law is illustrated by numerical simulations with a rotary inverted pendulum and a convey-crane. Using only one integrator the proposed control law has the advantage to the stabilization problem with sensor noise as well as it can successfully replace the measurements of derivative terms in a state feedback control law.

  • Driving sound is an effective element to promote the product identity of a vehicle by providing customers with attractive sound which reflects the concept of a vehicle. Recently, major automakers are focusing on the target sound setting so that the sound can represent the brand image as well as the unique concept of a vehicle. In this study, a new method of target setting for the driving sound will be introduced based on using formant filter and musical harmonics characteristics. In addition, a target sound suggested from this method will be realized and verified by using active noise control in vehicle.

로컬 중간값 분산을 이용한 적응형 메디안 필터 (Adaptive Median Filter by Local Central Variance)

  • Median filters in the signal processing have been most widely used and have demonstrated the strongest effects. This paper proposes the adaptive median filters with noise detection. The proposed basic algorithm of the filters is to judge whether or not the noises exist on the ground of The Noise Judgment Standards. Just in case the existence of the noises is verified by the algorithm, it takes the median filter. In order to judge the existence of the noises by the algorithm, this paper introduced the noise detection method by local central variance. As a result of comparing and analyzing the features and performance of the proposed filters and the existing [5]-[10] filters on the same conditions, it was verified that the former proved to be better than the latter, Observed even by naked eyes, it was similar, too. Accordingly, it's proved that the adaptive median filters by local central variance are useful in removing the impulse noise of the median filter and reinforce the edge preservation ability.
