양수발전기의 신 효용성 평가 지수 개발 (Development of New Effectiveness Assessment Indices of Pumped Storage Power Plant)

  • The pumped storage power plants have excellent load following characteristics. It can also be committed quickly for synchronous reserve when it is in the generating mode because it can readily increase its generating power and, consequently, increases the overall system reliability. There are strong incentives for standing the system reliability. Additionally, $CO_2$ emission can be typically impacted due to operation of pumped generators. The increase or decrease of $CO_2$ depends on the generation mix. This paper proposes evaluation of reliability, economy and environment of power system considering pumped generator. This paper describes three case studies of the reliability and economy and environment according to capacity factor and storage capacity of pumped generators. The probabilistic production simulation model is used in this paper. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system model on the $5^{th}$ power plan in Korea.

Effect of Interactive Multimedia PE Teaching Based on the Simulated Annealing Algorithm

  • As traditional ways of evaluation prove to be ineffective in evaluating the effect of interactive multimedia physical education (PE) teaching, this study develops a new evaluation model based on the simulated annealing algorithm. After the evaluation subjects and the principle of the evaluation system are determined, different subjects are well chosen to constitute the evaluation system and given the weight. The backpropagation neural network has been improved through the simulated annealing algorithm, whose improvement indicates the completion of the evaluation model. Simulation results show that the evaluation model is highly efficient. Compared with traditional evaluation models, the proposed one enhances students' performance in PE classes by 50%.

각 지역별 확률론적 신뢰도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Nodal Probabilistic Reliability Evaluation at Load Points)

  • This paper illustrates a new method for reliability evaluation at load points in a composite power system. The algorithm includes uncertainties of generators and transmission lines as well as main transformers at substations. The CMELDC based on the new effective load model at HLII has been developed also. The CMELDC can be obtain from convolution integral processing of the outage capacity probabilistic distribution function of the fictitious generator and the original load duration curve given at the load point. The CMELDC based on the new model at HLII will extend the application areas of nodal probabilistic production cost simulation, outage cost assessment and reliability evaluation etc. at load points. The characteristics and effectiveness of this new model are illustrated by a case study of a small test system.

  • The wavelet transform is the most recent technique for processing signals with time-varying spectra. In this paper, the wavelet transform is utilized to improved the assessment and multi-resolution analysis of acoustic emission signals generating in partial discharge. This paper especially deals with the assessment of process statistical parameter using the features extracted from the wavelet coefficients of measured acoustic emission signals in case of applied voltage 20[kv]. Since the parameter assessment using all wavelet coefficients will often turn out leads to inefficient or inaccurate results, we selected that level-3 stage of multi decomposition in discrete wavelet transform. We applied FIR(Finite Impulse Response)digital filter algorithm in discrete to suppression for random noise. The white noise be included high frequency component denoised as decomposition of discrete wavelet transform level-3. We make use of the feature extraction parameter namely, maximum value of acoustic emission signal, average value, dispersion, skewness, kurtosis, etc. The effectiveness of this new method has been verified on ability a diagnosis transformer go through feature extraction in stage of acting(the early period, the last period) .

강구의 결함 판별을 위한 퍼지 논리 기반의 알고리즘 개발 (Design of Fuzzy Logic based Classifying System for the Degree of Goodness of Steel Balls)

  • 본 논문에서는 지금까지 검사자에 의해 목시 검사로 이루어지고 있는 강구의 결함 여부를 자동으로 평가할 수 있는 새로운 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저 결함 종류 판별을 위하여 특징값 6가지를 결정하고 퍼지 추론과 Choquet 퍼지 적분을 사용한다. 결함정도에 따라 분류된 결함을 Choquet 퍼지 적분을 수행하게 되면 결과 값에서 서로 상쇄가 발생하여 원하지 않는 결과를 제시할 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 같은 특징을 갖는 계열들로 결함의 종류를 재분류하여 퍼지적분을 수행함으로서 상태 평가치의 상쇄를 최소화한다. 그리고 최종 상태 평가치와 계열의 평가치를 사용하여 결함 종류를 분류하는 하는 방법을 제시하며, 실제 실험 결과를 통해 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 평가한다.

ILLUMINATION ADUSTMENT FOR BRIDGE COATING IMAGES USING BEMD-MORPHOLOGY APPROACH

  • Digital image recognition has been used for steel bridge surface assessment since late 1990s. However, the non-uniform illumination problems such as shades, shadows, and highlights are still challenges in image processing to date. Therefore, this paper develops a new approach to tackle the non-uniform illumination problem for rust image adjustment. The inhomogeneous illumination problem is divided into shades/shadows and highlights in this paper. The proposed BEMD-morphology approach (BMA) utilizes the bidimensional empirical mode decomposition to mitigate the shade/shadow effect, and the morphological processing to detect and replace the highlight area. Finally, the rust image processed with the BMA will be segmented by the K-Means algorithm, one of the most popular and effective methods, to show the effectiveness of illumination adjustment.

Soft computing-based slope stability assessment: A comparative study

  • Analysis of slope stability failures, as one of the complex natural hazards, is one of the important research issues in the field of civil engineering. Present paper adopts and investigates four soft computing-based techniques for this problem: Patient Rule-Induction Method (PRIM), M5' algorithm, Group Method of data Handling (GMDH) and Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS). A comprehensive database consisting of 168 case histories is used to calibrate and test the developed models. Six predictive variables including slope height, slope angle, bulk density, cohesion, angle of internal friction, and pore water pressure ratio were considered to generate new models. The results of test studies are used for feasibility, effectiveness and practicality comparison of techniques with each other, and with the other available well-known methods in the literature. Results show that all methods not only are feasible but also result in better performance than previously developed soft computing based predictive models and tools. It is shown that M5' and PRIM algorithms are the most effective and practical prediction models.

스테레오 정합을 이용한 3차원 재구성 과정의 정량적 평가 (Quantitative Assessment of 3D Reconstruction Procedure Using Stereo Matching)

  • 3차원 영상 해석 기법에 의해 구해진 DEM(Digital Elevation Map)을 정량적으로 평가하는 것은 영상 해석 기법의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 모의 영상 제작에 의한 3차원 재구성 과정의 새로운 정량적 평가 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 미리 확보된 DEM과 정사영상(ortho-image)을 가상의 실제 값(pseudo ground truth)으로 가정한 것에 의한 것이다. 제안된 방법의 과정은 그래픽스에서 사용되는 ray tracing 알고리즘을 구성하여 가상의 실제 값에 적용함으로서 원하는 시점으로부터의 한 쌍의 모의 영상을 제작하는 것으로부터 시작된다. 제작된 모의 영상 쌍으로부터 구해진 DEM을 가상의 실제 값과 비교하면 구해진 DEM의 정량적인 오차 분석이 가능하여, 적용된 3차원 영상 해석 기법의 유효성이 평가될 수 있다. 제안된 평가 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해, 정량적 및 정성적인 실험이 수행되었다. 이를 위해 발생되는 모의 영상이 실제 형상을 재현하는 정도를 정량적인 수치로서 구하여 제안된 방법을 타당성을 입증하였다. 또한 정합창의 크기 변화에 따른 DEM의 정확도를 제안된 평가 방법에 의해 실험하였다. 이러한 실험 결과가 예견된 결과와 일치함에 의해 제안된 평가 방법의 타당성을 정성적으로도 명백히 증명하였다.

An Energy Efficient Clustering Algorithm in Mobile Adhoc Network Using Ticket Id Based Clustering Manager

  • Many emerging mobile ad-hoc network application communications are group-oriented. Multicast supports group-oriented applications efficiently, particularly in a mobile environment that has a limited bandwidth and limited power. Energy effectiveness along with safety are 2 key problem in MANET design. Within this paper, MANET is presented with a stable, energy-efficient clustering technique. In this proposed work advanced clustering in the networks with ticket ID cluster manager (TID-CMGR) has formed in MANET. The proposed routing scheme makes secure networking the shortest route possible. In this article, we propose a Cluster manager approach based on TICKET-ID to address energy consumption issues and reduce CH workload. TID-CMGR includes two mechanism including ticket ID controller, ticketing pool, route planning and other components. The CA (cluster agent) shall control and supervise the functions of nodes and inform to TID-CMGR. The CH conducts and transfers packets to the network nodes. As the CH energy level is depleted, CA elects the corresponding node with elevated energy values, and all new and old operations are simultaneously stored by CA at this time. A simulation trial for 20 to 100 nodes was performed to show the proposed scheme performance. The suggested approach is used to do experimental work using the NS- simulator. TIDCMGR is compared with TID BRM and PSO to calculate the utility of the work proposed. The assessment shows that the proposed TICKET-ID scheme achieves 90 percent more than other current systems.

계층 클러스터링과 실시간 데이터를 이용한 충돌위험평가 (Collision Risk Assessment by using Hierarchical Clustering Method and Real-time Data)

  • 수역 내 충돌 위험 식별은 항해의 안전을 위해 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 거리 요인을 기반으로 한 군집화 방법인 계층 클러스터링을 포함하는 새로운 충돌 위험 평가 방법을 도입했으며, 주변의 선박이 많은 경우 실시간 데이터, 그룹 방법론 및 예비 평가를 사용하여 선박을 분류하고 충돌위험평가를 기반으로 평가하였다(HCAAP 처리라 부른다). 조우하는 선박들의 군집은 계층 프로그램에 의해 모아지고, 예비 평가와 결합되어 상대적으로 안전한 선박을 걸러내었다. 그런 다음, 각 군집 내에서 조우하는 선박 사이의 최근접점(DCPA) 및 최근접점까지의 도착시간(TCPA)까지의 시간을 계산하여 충돌위험지수(CRI)와의 관계를 비교하였다. 조우하는 선박들간의 군집에서 CRI와 DCPA 및 TCPA 수학적 관계는 음의 지수 함수로 구성되었다. 이러한 CRI로부터 운영자는 명시된 해역에서 항해하는 모든 선박의 안전성을 보다 쉽게 평가할 수 있으며, 프레임워크는 해상운송의 안전과 보안을 개선하고 인명 및 재산 손실을 줄일 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제안된 프레임워크의 효과를 설명하기 위해 국내의 목포 연안 해역에서 실험 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 본 연구의 프레임워크가 각 군집 내에서 조우 선박 간의 충돌 위험 지수를 탐지하고 순위를 매기는 데 효과적이고 효율적이라는 것을 보여 주었으며, 추가연구를 위한 자동 위험 우선순위를 지정할 수 있게 해주었다.
