  • It meets 21 century and the society is quickly changing with advancement of Information and Communication Technology(ICT), the use of the Internet which increases geometrical progression is changing the paradigm of the instruction and learning. The school education site which uses a consequently new ICT and change of instructional method became to be inevitable. Uses the most up-to-date medium in the students who in the knowledge information society of 21 century will live with the leading actor and it will be able to accommodate information which increases explosively effectively in order, description below hazard only information knowledge education which stands the bay knows application education, compared to further information anger early rising education for the whole life studying social realization more earnestly what than is necessary. In this study, It examined the actual state and a problem point of ICT application ability and ICT application education of the elementary school teachers. It will reach to lead, the reporter to grope the improvement program of ICT application education it did.

Current Status of Registered Patents Related to Food Tech in Korea and Japan (푸드테크 관련 한국과 일본의 특허 등록 현황)

  • This study analyzed the current status of registered patents related to food tech in Korea and Japan. Using the patent information search services of Korean and Japanese Patent Offices, patents registered during the past 10 years from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2015 were searched with the following key words/phrases: "food or meal or diet" and "program or information system". A total of 669 patents (539 for Korea and 130 for Japan) were finally selected and analyzed. Based on Porter's value chain theory, the patents were categorized into three dimensions related to "manufacturing/processing/distribution", "sales & marketing", and "consumer support". The results showed that in Korea, 41.7% of the total patents were related to sales & marketing followed by consumer support (37.3%) and manufacturing/processing/distribution (21.0%). In Japan, patents related to consumer support accounted for 56.2% followed by manufacturing/processing/distribution (32.3%), and sales & marketing (11.5%). In the area of manufacturing/processing/distribution, "food quality management system" in Korea, and "food manufacturing and processing management system" and "food safety control and hazard analysis system" in Japan tended to show a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.05). Under sales & marketing, patents in the categories of "food purchase and delivery service system" in Korea and "restaurant information sharing system" in Japan tended to be more frequently registered (p<.05). Finally, in the area of consumer support, "kitchen facility and cooking device control system" in Korea and "menu and nutrition management system" in Japan tended to account for a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.001). The results are expected to provide useful insights into the development of new patents and markets for food tech in the future.

Potential Soil Loss Prediction for Land Resource Management in the Nakdong River Basin (토지자원관리를 위한 낙동강 유역의 잠재적 토양유실량 산정)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential soil loss and hazard zone by the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation(RUSLE) for preservation and management of land resources which is the base of ecosystem, and to grasp the relationship between RUSLE factors in the Nakdong River Basin. All thematic maps used in RUSLE are constructed through GIS and spatial analysis method derived from digital topographic maps, detailed soil maps, land-cover maps, and mean annual precipitation of 30 years collected respectively from National Geographic Information Institute, National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, and Ministry of Environment. The slope length of LS-factor that takes much times by the study area's wideness was calculated automatically through AML(Arc Macro Language) program developed by Van Remortel et al.(2001, 2003). The results are as follows; First, according to the soil loss estimation by the RUSLE, it shows that approximately 82% of the study area have relatively lower possibility of soil loss which is the 1 ton/ha in annual soil loss. While, 9.4% ($2,228km^2$) needed intensive and continuous management for soil loss. Because the amount of their annual soil loss was greater than 10 ton/ha that is optimum level suggested by Morgan(1995). For these areas, the author believe that a new approach which can minimize environmental impacts from soil loss through improvement of cultivation process and buffer forest zone should be applied. Second, according to the relationship between the RUSLE factors, topographical(LS-factor) and cover management(C-factor) conditions have a lot of influence on soil loss in case of the Nakdong River Basin. However, because of RUSLE factor's influence that affect to soil loss might be different based on the variety of spatial hierarchy and extent, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate factor's relationship in terms of spatial hierarchy and extent through field observations and further studies.

Evaluation of Rare Earths viewed from the Occupational Health (산업보건 측면에서의 희토류 건강영향 평가)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted in order to improve the current understanding of rare earths(RE) and to provide supporting data for establishing occupational health policies by reviewing the toxicological data and issues caused by the use of RE compounds in various fields. Methods: To evaluate the potential toxicity of RE from the viewpoint of occupational health, we summarized extensive reviews of relevant articles in the toxicology(animals and cells), occupational health and safety, and epidemiologic literature. Results: Although occupational RE exposure occurs extensively from ore mining and refining to end users in various industrial applications, epidemiologic study has not been performed among workers up to now. Bioaccumulation and adverse effects of RE have also been mentioned in ore mining regions and nearby residences, but safety standards for each process are insufficient. Moreover, because new commercial recycling technology will soon be applied to various industries, regulation and policies are needed for preventing abuse of recycling. In the results of animal toxicity for a few REs(mostly cerium, lanthanum, and gadolinium), toxicities of liver, lung, blood, and the nervous system were identified due to oxidative stress, but study of long-term RE exposure is required. Understanding the dual effect for RE and discovery of biomarkers pose a scientific challenge in further mechanism studies. Conclusions: In the future, additional hazard evaluation based on animal experiments is required, alongside continuous research for developing analytical methods and discovering biomarkers. Finally, RE occupational health and safety management needs to be integrated into the sustainable use of these materials.

  • With diversification of research and development activity according to fusion of state-of-the-art technology, potential hazard and risk factors in new forms have been increased in the laboratories. Also, as there are many cases where the experimental condition is extremely high/low temperature and pressure, many many accidents producing loss of life and/or injuries occur due to the extreme condition. In this study, The common fact questionnaire as the survey tool for the establishment of the accident prevention countermeasure in laboratory have been developed to safety security of the laboratory workers. The current status of chemical materials and the realization of important on laboratory safety management using the questionnaire investigated by an electronic mail and visiting survey in the laboratories and universities. The collected data was analyzed with Excel program and it can be utilized as basic data for accident prevention in laboratories.

Determination of streptomycin in kiwifruit samples using LC-ESI-MS/MS (LC-ESI-MS/MS를 이용한 키위 중 streptomycin 분석)

  • In May 2012, a safety hazard issue arose because some kiwifruit growers in New Zealand had sprayed streptomycin to prevent kiwifruit canker. Therefore, for food safety management, analytical methods to determine streptomycin residues in kiwifruits are required. We developed an analytical method to determine streptomycin residues in kiwifruit samples using liquid chromatograph tandem mass spectrometer (LC-ESI-MS/MS). Streptomycin residues in samples were extracted using 1% formic acid in methanol, centrifugation for 10 min, and subsequent supernatant filtration. Purified samples were subjected to LC-ESI-MS/MS to confirm presence of and quantify streptomycin residues. Average streptomycin recoveries (6 replicates each sample) were in the range of 94.8%-110.6% with relative standard deviations of <10%. The linearity of the concentration range of 0.01-5.0 mg/kg using a matrix-matched calibration gave R2 = 0.9995. The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.01 mg/kg. Results showed that our analytical method is rapid, simple, and sensitive, with easy sample preparation.

  • A Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is a complex dynamic system-of-systems with highly nonlinear behaviors. In order to control the plant operation under both normal and abnormal conditions, the different systems in NPPs (e.g., the reactor core components, primary and secondary coolant systems) are usually monitored continuously, resulting in very large amounts of data. This situation makes it possible to integrate relevant qualitative and quantitative knowledge with artificial intelligence techniques to provide faster and more accurate behavior predictions, leading to more rapid decisions, based on actual NPP operation data. Data-driven models (DDM) rely on artificial intelligence to learn autonomously based on patterns in data, and they represent alternatives to physics-based models that typically require significant computational resources and might not fully represent the actual operation conditions of an NPP. In this study, a feed-forward backpropagation artificial neural network (ANN) model was trained to simulate the interaction between the reactor core and the primary and secondary coolant systems in a pressurized water reactor. The transients used for model training included perturbations in reactivity, steam valve coefficient, reactor core inlet temperature, and steam generator inlet temperature. Uncertainties of the plant physical parameters and operating conditions were also incorporated in these transients. Eight training functions were adopted during the training stage to develop the most efficient network. The developed ANN model predictions were subsequently tested successfully considering different new transients. Overall, through prompt prediction of NPP behavior under different transients, the study aims at demonstrating the potential of artificial intelligence to empower rapid emergency response planning and risk mitigation strategies.

Countermeasure of an Application Attack Scenario Using Spring Server Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2018-1270) (스프링 서버 원격코드 실행 취약점(CVE-2018-1270)을 이용한 응용 공격 시나리오의 대응 방안)

  • Spring framework is widely used as a base technology for e-government frameworks and to the extent it is a standard for web service development tools of Korean public institutions. However, recently, a remote code execution vulnerability(CVE-2018-1270) was found in an application using a spring framework. This paper proposes a method of analyzing the vulnerability experiment using a hacking scenario, Proof Of Concept(POC), in which the spring framework is a hazard to the server. We propose the patch to version 4.3.16 and version 5.0.5 or later as an ultimate response. It is also expected that the proposed experiment analysis on vulnerability of hacking scenario will be used as a data for improving performance of security programs and establishing a new authentication system.

  • It is noted that illegal hazardous foods containing unauthorized drugs or synthetic drung analogues are increasing. Especially, reported are unknown compounds that have the modified chemical structures of the anti-impotence drugs such as sildenafil, vardenafil, and tatalafil. In addition, it is very reserved, since illegal synthetic compounds having similar chemical structures modified from anti-impotence drug to avoid the government inspection are not proved their safety at all. This review in ulation to food safety, lists the illegal compounds added to foods and describes about the analytical methods to chanacterize 16 anti-impotence drug analogues such as homosildenafil, hongdenafil, pseudovardenafil, aminotadalafil, hydroxyhomosildenafil, hydroxyhongdenafil, dimethylsildenafil, xanthoanthrafil, hydroxyvardenafil, norneosildenafil, demethylhongdenafil, piperidinohongdenafil, carbodenafil, thiosildenafil, dimethylthiosildenafil, and acetylvardenafil.

  • With continuous advancements in industry, science, and technology, there is a steady increase in the number and utilization of new chemicals. The growing societal emphasis on chemical safety management is paralleled by an increasing public demand for robust safety measures. While various ministries at the government level oversee the safety management of chemical substances, the occurrence of accidents related to chemical substances remains frequent each year due to problems such as aging facilities and careless handling. Upon analyzing domestic chemical accident cases, incidents occurred predominantly in the sequence of leakage, explosion, fire, and others. The main causes of these accidents were examined, revealing facility defects and non-compliance with safety management as the primary contributing factors. In this study, Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) was employed to identify hazardous risk factors associated with the handling of hydrofluoric acid in workplaces, and a risk assessment was performed using Bow-Tie method. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to enhance safety management plans aimed at preventing chemical accidents in workplaces dealing with similar facilities. Ultimately, these insights contribute to the development of an advanced chemical safety management system, capable of proactively preventing potential chemical accidents.
