In this paper, the existence of bounded positive solution of the second-order nonlinear neutral differential equations are studied. Some new sufficient conditions are given. Furthermore, examples given show that the results here are almost sharp.

Quality characteristics on the properties of process capability indices (PCIs) are often required to be normally distributed. But, if a characteristic is not normally distributed, serious errors can result from normal-based techniques. In this case, we may well consider the use of new PCIs specially designed to be robust for non-normality. In this paper, a newly proposed measure of process capability is introduced and compared with existing PCIs using the simulated non-normal data.

Recently, a feature extraction method based on decision boundary has been proposed for neural networks. The method is based on the fact that all the features necessary to achieve the same classification accuracy as in the original space can be obtained from the vectors normal to decision boundaries. However, the normal vector was estimated numerically. resulting in inaccurate estimation and a long computational time. In this paper. we propose a new method to calculate the normal vector analytically. Experiments show that the proposed method provides a better performance.

This paper proposes a new generalized iterative method (SSOR-like method) for solving augmented system. A functional equation relating two involved parameters is obtained, and some convergence conditions for this method are derived. This paper generalizes some foregone results. Numerical examples show that, this method is efficient by suitable choices of the involved parameters.

At least two positive solutions of a first-order periodic boundary value problem with impulse are obtained by establishing a new cone and the theorem of fixed point index. And at the end of this paper we give an example to illustrate the application of our main results.

In this paper, the oscillation and existence of nonoscillatory solutions of odd order difference equations with nonlinear neutral terms are studied respectively. Some new criteria are established. Furthermore, some examples are given to illustrate the advance of our results.

The convergence of libraries, archives, and museums (LAMs) has garnered attention in recent years. Extending the tendency further, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) fuses the library, archive, museum, and publisher (LAMP) functionality together in its library. This article elaborates on the LAMP practices of the NTNU Library, which indicates that without creating new units in a university, its library can play a good role of curating invaluable university assets.
