  • An improved zerotree-structure based wavelet coding algorithm is proposed. When the descendants of a significant coefficient are all zerotree, its four-childs are coded respectively in conventional EZW. But in the proposed algorithm, a new symbol is assigned for the significant coefficient. Entropy for both methods are analyzed and new coding scheme is proposed. The experimental results show that the Proposed algorithm has a better performance than the original EZW algorithm.

  • In this paper we propose a new efficient generalized sidelobe canceller(GSC) algorithm, using the efficient frequency domain LMS algorithm, which has much less weights to update. We only update part of all the weights according to magnitude of each frequency bin. So, the new proposed GSC algorithm, which is called censored GSC(C-GSC), can greatly reduce the computational complexity.

  • In this study a new phase separated spectral analysis algorithm is proposed to identify CSB vibration mode directly from ex-core neutron signals. Ex-core neutron signals can be decomposed into the global, core support barrel (CSB) beam mode, and CSB shell mode components by the new phase separation algorithm based on the characteristics of Fourier transform. By using the proposed algorithm and the conventional spectral analysis the vibration mode of the CSB and the fuel assembly of Ulchin-1 NPP were identified from measured ex-core neutron signals.

  • In this paper, we present an approach for matching images from finding interesting points and applying new image interpolation algorithm. New algorithms are developed that automatically align the input images match them and reconstruct 3-D surfaces. The interpolation algorithm is designed to cope with simple shapes. The proposed image interpolation algorithm generate a rotation image about vertical axes by an any angle from 4 base images. Each base image that was obtained from CCD camera has an angle difference of 90$^{\circ}$ The proposed image interpolation algorithm use the geometric analysis of image and depth information.

  • A new normalized MBD algorithm is presented for nonstationary convolutive mixtures and its properties/modifications are discussed in details. The proposed algorithm normalizes the signal spectrum in the frequency domain to provide faster stable convergence and improved separation without whitening effect. Modifications such as nonholonomic constraints and off-diagonal learning to the proposed algorithm are also discussed. Simulation results using a real-world recording confirm superior performanceof the proposed algorithm and its usefulness in real world applications.

  • This paper presents a new DR(Dead Reckoning) algorithm in client-server-based networked virtual environment using network delay estimation. In the algorithm, a new update packet is sent to server (or client) whenever the difference of current real value and tracking value after network delay is larger than threshold. To confirm the proposed algorithm, a test network game was implemented. Through iterative field tests, we knew that this algorithm provides fair service and stability.

  • We propose a new digital beamforming algorithm using an interpolation filter in ultrasonic imaging systems. We compared the performances of the proposed algorithm to those of the conventional digital bemforming algorisms, post-beamformer and phase rotation beamformer, by a computer simulation and experiments. The results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than the others.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new concept of stability of coincidence iterative algorithm for three mappings and derive a new three-step Jungck-type iterative algorithm. And, we prove a stability result and a strong convergence result for the Jungck-type algorithm using the MJ-contractive condition. Our results extend and unify the corresponding ones in [3, 6, 7, 13].

  • This paper introduces an adaptive algorithm determining the measurement-track association problem in multi-target tracking(MTT). We model the target and measurement relationships with mean field theory and then define a MAP estimate for the optimal association. Based on this model, we introduce an energy function defined over the measurement space, that incorporates the natural constraints for target tracking. To find the minimizer of the energy function, we derived a new adaptive algorithm by introducing the Lagrange multipliers and local dual theory. Through the experiments, we show that this algorithm is stable and works well in general environments. Also the advantages of the new algorithm over other algorithms are discussed.

  • We have proposed a new fast serial serch algorithm and a receiver for direct-sequence spead-spectrum acquisition systems and analyzed its perfoemance. This algorithm achieves faster acquisition by more than two times that of existing algorithm. We have derived equations of the mean acquistion time by using moment generating function and direct approach, and presented numerical results.
