This study is trying to analyze the economic effect of replacing thermal power generation, one of the government's carbon-neutral policies, with new and renewable energy. For this analysis, scenario A is set to replace 100% of thermal power generation with new and renewable energy, and scenario B is set to replace 60% of thermal power generation with new and renewable energy. In addition, costs are incurred when replacing thermal power generation with new and renewable energy, and scenario 1 is the same cost as the current cost, and scenario 2 is120% higher than the current cost. Therefore, when converting thermal power generation to new and renewable energy, the scenarios are largely organized into four cases. In the case of replacing thermal power generation with new and renewable energy, the production inducement coefficient of thermal power generation decreased from the current level regardless of the scenario. However, the value-added inducement coefficient and the greenhouse gas emission inducement coefficient are lower than the current level when thermal power is converted to renewable energy by 100%, while the value-added inducement coefficient and greenhouse gas emission inducement coefficient are higher than the current level. In addition, the greenhouse gas emission induction coefficient of most industries was found to decrease, while the production induction coefficient and the value-added induction coefficient increased. Scenario A seems appropriate because the purpose of the government's policy is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by converting thermal power into new and renewable energy. However, as a result of this, the production inducement coefficient and value-added inducement coefficient of some industries decrease, so the government's support policy is needed to solve this problem

Significant air temperature increases in urban areas are known as the heat island phenomenon in a global scale. Therefore, we use numerical model in order to analyze quantitative effects by using new & renewable energy on the heat island phenomenon in urban area. The present study quantitatively analyzes the Urban Heat Island Effects, Energy-Saving Effects, and Environmental Load Decrease Effect along New and Renewable Energy Application which is 10% of the Building Energy Consumption.
At this point in time when active participation in renewable energy projects is required, basic information on growth engines and substantial promotion strategies for participation in renewable energy projects is needed. According to the this study tried to provide basic information for vitalizing participation in the renewable energy business by analyzing the factors affecting the new energy business participation roadmap using the multi-layered model. As a result of this study, it can be seen that in order to achieve an effective new energy business participation roadmap, it is necessary to re-establish the new and renewable energy business participation factors by industry. Specifically, it is necessary to prepare appropriate countermeasures such as the leading organization of the project, profit distribution method, green industry financial support, project implementation method, power plant location, and comprehensive long-term strategy, and there is an institutional approach that can promote the development of related industries. found to be necessary. Above all, it suggested that in order to achieve an effective new energy project participation roadmap, an institutional approach is needed that can expand the supply of new and renewable energy while minimizing the burden on the national economy and promote the development of related industries.
Global warming, which is one of the most serious challenges, has been the subject of intense debate and concern for many scientists, policy-makers, and citizens for at least the past decade. To protect the health and economic well-being of current and future generations, we must reduce our emissions like carbon dioxide. Alternatives to achieve an energy future without serious global warming are to change to clean and renewable sources of energy like the wind, the sun lights, rivers, the biomass, hydrogen, and oceans. To identify some of the key and new environmental impacts associated with renewable energy and hydrogen energy, we set up the new conceptual methodology. Specifically, new identified environmental and health impacts are related with the usage of hydrogen energy. When comparing with fossil fuel, the renewable energies can reduce the release of carbon dioxide when they are used except hydrogen produced from fossil fuel. However, all renewable energy technologies are not appropriate to all applications or locations. Our results suggest that all of alternatives to replace fossil fuel can release the several global and local impacts although they seems to be smaller than the impacts from fossil fuel. Therefore, the quantitative and detail analysis to assess environmental impacts of the alternative energies might be useful to make our decision for the future energy against the global warming.
This paper reviewed laws and policies of renewable energy in Japan and China. Japan has enacted laws and implemented policies of renewable energy since 1980 for their energy security and environmental problem, and nowadays renewable energy is one of solutions for UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol. Japan plays a leading role in photovoltaic power generation. As second largest energy consumer, China generates a lot of pollution from their energy use. However Chinese government attempts to sustainable development among economy, society and environment, suggests to use renewable energy in the way to reduce pollution and improve living standards. Korea focused on renewable energy as one of motive power in Green Growth. Review for renewable energy policy of two countries gives Korean policy implication and helps "Green Growth", national theme of Korea.

This study investigated the status of resident participation in the policy of supplying new and renewable energy in rural areas. According to the survey, most of the rural residents were well aware of the new and renewable energy supply project promoted by the government. However, it was found that participation in the project was difficult mainly for economic and social reasons. In order to activate the participation of rural residents who can't participate in the renewable energy power generation project for economic and social reasons, it is necessary to develop and promote business models and support policies for power generation projects in which village communities participate. Changes in residents' acceptability due to resident education and operation for solar power systems were analyzed. As a result of the survey, it was found that the satisfaction of rural residents was high when new and renewable energy power generation projects were introduced in rural areas. Therefore, it is thought that the government's goal of increasing farm household income and expanding the supply of new and renewable energy in rural area can be successfully achieved by the improvement of resident acceptability and the increase of the participation rate. Lastly, this study presented a plan to improve the resident acceptability of the renewable energy system by using the rural solar project and survey results.
This paper focus on power development options for remote islands. Recently, in accordance with progress in distributed generation technologies including renewable energy sources, many options are possible as power development option for island. At first we estimate generation cost by generation technology then recommend and suggest some countermeasures and implementation for institutional improvement.

As one of renewable energy sources, biomass is playing a major role in reducing the greenhouse gas emission in the UK. The country currently produces about 4.5% (18.1TWh in 2006) of the total electricity generation from renewables, where biomass-based sources accounts for 50% of the amount and the remainder mostly from hydro and windpower. In 2007, the UK government has announced its new energy policy through the Energy White Paper, which includes an ambitious national target of 60% cuts in carbon emission by 2050. Complementary strategic plans in key renewable energy technologies accompanied the Energy White Paper, including biomass strategy, waste strategy and low carbon transportation strategy. This paper summarizes the current status and policy of UK for renewable energy production with focus on the use of biomass and bioenergy.

An interconnect in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) electrically connects unit cells and separates fuel from oxidant in the adjoining cells. The interconnects can be divided broadly into two categories - ceramic and metallic interconnects. A thin and gastight ceramic layer is deposited onto a porous support, and metallic interconnects are coated with conductive ceramics to improve their surface stability. This paper provides a short review on ceramic materials for SOFC interconnects. After a brief discussion of the key requirements for interconnects, the article describes basic aspects of chromites and titanates with a perovskite structure for ceramic interconnects, followed by the introduction of dual-layer interconnects. Then, the paper presents protective coatings based on spinel-or perovskite-type oxides on metallic interconnects, which are capable of mitigating oxide scale growth and inhibiting Cr evaporation.
