순간적인 화학물질 누출에 따른 초기 피해영향 범위 산정을 위한 분산모델 연구 (Dispersion Model of Initial Consequence Analysis for Instantaneous Chemical Release)

  • Most factories deal with toxic or flammable chemicals in their industrial processes. These hazardous substances pose a risk of leakage due to accidents, such as fire and explosion. In the event of chemical release, massive casualties and property damage can result; hence, quantitative risk prediction and assessment are necessary. Several methods are available for evaluating chemical dispersion in the atmosphere, and most analyses are considered neutral in dispersion models and under far-field wind condition. The foregoing assumption renders a model valid only after a considerable time has elapsed from the moment chemicals are released or dispersed from a source. Hence, an initial dispersion model is required to assess risk quantitatively and predict the extent of damage because the most dangerous locations are those near a leak source. In this study, the dispersion model for initial consequence analysis was developed with three-dimensional unsteady advective diffusion equation. In this expression, instantaneous leakage is assumed as a puff, and wind velocity is considered as a coordinate transform in the solution. To minimize the buoyant force, ethane is used as leaked fuel, and two different diffusion coefficients are introduced. The calculated concentration field with a molecular diffusion coefficient shows a moving circular iso-line in the horizontal plane. The maximum concentration decreases as time progresses and distance increases. In the case of using a coefficient for turbulent diffusion, the dispersion along the wind velocity direction is enhanced, and an elliptic iso-contour line is found. The result yielded by a widely used commercial program, ALOHA, was compared with the end point of the lower explosion limit. In the future, we plan to build a more accurate and general initial risk assessment model by considering the turbulence diffusion and buoyancy effect on dispersion.

구속모형시험을 통한 잠수함 선형의 수상 조건 조종성능 추정 연구 (Prediction of Maneuverability of a Submarine at Surface Condition by Captive Model Test)

  • In this paper, the results of Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM) test for a 1/15 scaled model of the MARIN Joubert BB2 submarine is dealt with to derive the maneuvering coefficients for surface condition. For the depth of surface navigation, the top of the sail was exposed 0.46 m above the water surface in the model scale, and it corresponds to 6.9 m in the full scale. The resistance and self-propulsion tests were conducted, and the model's self-propulsion point was obtained for 1.328 m/s, which corresponded to 10 knots in the full scale. The maneuvering tests were performed at the model's self-propulsion point, and the maneuvering coefficients were obtained. Based on the maneuvering coefficients, a turning simulation was performed for starboard 30 degree of stern fins. The straight-line stability and control effectiveness in the horizontal plane were analyzed using the maneuvering coefficients and compared with the appropriate range. For the analysis of the neutral fin angle of the X-type stern fin, the stern fin test with drift angles was carried out. As a result, the flow straightening effect at lower and upper parts of the stern fin was discussed.

자체 개발한 보조기구로 원위 요골의 골밀도 측정 자세 연구 (Study on Oneself Developed to Apparatus Position of Measurement of BMD in the Distal Radius)

  • 연구목적 : 본 연구는 원위 요골의 회전에 따른 투사 단면적의 변화가 골밀도에 미치는 영향이 어느 정도인지 알아보고, 정확한 회전각을 알아보기 위한 보조기구를 개발하는데 있다. 또한 전완부의 골밀도 측정 시정확한 측정 방법을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 골밀도 측정시 정확한 측정 자세를 알아보고자 수술, 기형이나 외상력이 없는 20대 남성 20명을 대상으로 하였다. 실험은 세가지로 수행하였다. 첫째, 원위요골 골밀도 측정을 위한 보조기구 제작. 둘째, 원위 요골의 단면 구조 및 수평면에 대한 각도를 파악하기 위하여 CT(Computer Tomography) 스캔을 하였다. 회전 각도는 PACS 모니터 상에서 m-view 프로그램으로 측정하였다. 셋째, 회전에 따른 골밀도의 변화를 알아보기 위하여 20개의 건조 된 사체 표본요골을 DXA로 중립위(0도)를 기준으로 내회전 및 외회전 각각 5, 10도에서 측정하였다. 결 과 : CT 스캔 상 원위요골 단면의 평균 회전 각도는 각각 외회전이 80%(n=16) 7.4도, 내회전이 15%(n=3) 3.3도, 중립 위가 9%(n=1) 1.0도이었다. 20명에 대한 전체 평균 회전각은 외회전 약 5.4도이었다. 건조된 cadaver 연구에서도 각 원위 요골의 회전 각도별 골밀도 값이 서로 달랐고 회전 각도가 최저 골밀도인 경우의 평균 외회전 3.3도 이었다. 결 론 : 원위요골의 골밀도 측정 시에도 20명의 CT영상과 건조된 사체 요골표본에서의 결과와 같이 원위요골의 해부학적 구조상 대부분이 외회전 되어 있어 중립위 보다는 적절한 내회전이 필요하며 약 5도를 추천한다.

RHS기둥-보 접합부의 모멘트전달효율 평가 (Evaluation of Moment Transfer Efficiency of a Beam Web at RHS Column-to-Beam Connections)

  • 본 논문에서는 철골 각형강관단면(RHS) 기둥-보 접합부에서 웨브의 모멘트 전달효율을 평가하였다. 먼저, 5개의 철골보접합부에 대한 비선형 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 이들은 접합부 상세가 다르게 설계되었고, 따라서 휨저항 성능이 각기 다르다. 해석결과 RHS 기둥을 가진 모델은 기둥 플랜지의 면외변형 때문에 WF(Wide Flange) 기둥을 가진 모델에 비해 모멘트 전달효율이 저하함을 보였다. 스캘럽(WAH)과 얇은 강관기둥 두께도 모멘트 전달효율의 저하를 가져오는 원인으로서, 결과적으로 보-기둥 접합부의 파단을 초래할 가능성이 크다. 해석과 이전의 실험결과를 기초로 하면, 응력집중은 모멘트 전달효율과 반비례하고, 접합부의 변형능력은 모멘트 전달효율의 저하에 따라 감소하는 것을 알 수 있다. 더 나아가서 바닥슬래브가 있는 합성보 접합부에 대한 유한요소해석결과는 중립축이 상부플랜지 방향으로 상승함으로써 모멘트 전달효율이 저하했고, 이러한 영향은 접합부의 조기 취성파단을 초래하는 것을 보였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 유리-에폭시 섬유 보강 복합재료판에 $K_I$$K_{II}$ 에 의한 혼합모우드 상태의 균열된 알루미늄판의 응력확대계수의 수치해석 산정을 다루고 있다. 응력확대계수 산정을 위한 가상균열닫힘법과 2단계 확장법이 고려된다. 에너지 방출률과 응력확대계수의 항으로 표현되는 파괴역학 매개변수 계산을 위하여, p-수렴 부분 층별모델이 채택된다. 고려되는 p-수렴 방식은 저매개변수 요소의 개념에 기초한다. 1개 층에 대해 가정된 변위장, 변위-변형률 관계, 그리고 3차원 구성방정식은 2차원과 1차원 고차 형상함수의 조합으로 정의된다. 고려되는 요소는 변위장의 보간과 수치적분을 수행하기 위해 로바토 형상함수와 가우스-로바토 적분법이 사용된다. 언급된 모델과 기법들을 사용하여, 경사각도의 변화에 따른 적층판 형상의 효과와 접착제의 강도가 팻치보강 시스템에 미치는 영향이 조사된다. 중립축 변화에 따른 팻치보강 적층판의 면외 휨 효과도 분석된다. 고려되는 모델의 정확성과 단순성 등에 관해서 응력확대계수, 응력분포, 자유도 수, 에너지 방출률 등의 항목을 가지고서 평가된다.

Nutrient intake, digestibility and performance of Gaddi kids supplemented with tea seed or tea seed saponin extract

  • Objective: An experiment was conducted to determine the nutrient intake, digestibility, microbial protein synthesis, haemato-biochemical attributes, immune response and growth performance of Gaddi kids fed with oat fodder based basal diet supplemented with either tea seed or tea seed saponin (TSS) extract. Methods: Eighteen male kids, $7.03{\pm}0.16$ months of age and $19.72{\pm}0.64kg$ body weight, were distributed into three groups, $T_0$ (control), $T_1$, and $T_2$, consisting of 6 animals each in a completely randomized design. The kids were fed a basal diet consisting of concentrate mixture and oat fodder (50:50). Animals in group III ($T_2$) were supplemented with TSS at 0.4% of dry matter intake (DMI), and group II ($T_1$) were supplemented with tea seed at 2.6% of DMI to provide equivalent dose of TSS as in $T_2$. Two metabolism trials were conducted, 1st after 21 days and 2nd after 90 days of feeding to evaluate the short term and long term effects of supplementation. Results: The tea seed ($T_1$) or TSS ($T_2$) supplementation did not affect DMI as well as the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fibre, and acid detergent fibre. Nutritive value of diet and plane of nutrition were also comparable for both the periods. However, the average daily gain and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were improved (p<0.05) for $T_1$ and $T_2$ as compared to $T_0$. The microbial protein supply was also higher (p<0.05) for $T_1$ and $T_2$ for both the periods. There was no effect of supplementation on most blood parameters. However, the triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels decreased (p<0.05) and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol level increased (p<0.05) in $T_2$ as compared with $T_0$ and $T_1$. Supplementation also did not affect the cell mediated and humoral immune response in goats. Conclusion: Tea seed at 2.6% of DMI and TSS at 0.4% DMI can be fed to Gaddi goats to improve growth rate, FCR and microbial protein synthesis.

경골 천정(pilon) 골절의 최신 치료 (Current Treatment of Tibial Pilon Fractures)

  • Pilon fractures involving distal tibia remain one of the most difficult therapeutic challenges that confront the orthopedic surgeons because of associated soft tissue injury is common. To introduce and describe the diagnosis, current treatment, results and complications of the pilon fractures. In initial assessment, the correct evaluation of the fracture type through radiographic checkup and examination of the soft tissue envelope is needed to decide appropriate treatment planning of pilon fractures. Even though Ruedi and Allgower reported 74% good and excellent results with primary open reduction and internal fixation, recently the second staged treatment of pilon fractures is preferred to orthopedic traumatologist because of the soft tissue problem is common after primary open reduction and internal fixation. The components of the first stage are focused primarily on stabilization of the soft tissue envelope. If fibula is fractured, fibular open reduction and internal fixation is integral part of initial management for reducing the majority of tibial deformities. Ankle-spanning temporary external fixator is used to restore limb alignment and displaced intraarticular fragments through ligamentotaxis and distraction. And the second stage, definitive open reduction and internal fixation of the tibial component, is undertaken when the soft tissue injury has resolved and no infection sign is seen on pin site of external fixator. The goals of definitive internal fixation should include absolute stability and interfragmentary compression of reduced articular segments, stable fixation of the articular segment to the tibial diaphysis, and restoration of coronal, transverse, and sagittal plane alignments. The location, rigidity, and kinds of the implants are based on each individual fractures. The conventional plate fixation has more advantages in anatomical reduction of intraarticular fractures than locking compression plate. But it has more complications as infection, delayed union and nonunion. The locking compression plate fixation provides greater stability and lesser wound problem than conventional implants. But the locking compression plate remains poorly defined for intraarticular fractures of the distal tibia. Active, active assisted, passive range of motion of the ankle is recommended when postoperative rehabilitation is started. Splinting with the foot in neutral is continued until suture is removed at the 2~3 weeks and weight bearing is delayed for approximately 12 weeks. The recognition of the soft tissue injury has evolved as a critical component of the management of pilon fractures. At this point, the second staged treatment of pilon fractures is good treatment option because of it is designed to promote recovery of the soft tissue envelope in first stage operation and get a good result in definitive reduction and stabilization of the articular surface and axial alignment in second stage operation.

세대에 따른 직업 관련 사회정체성의 사회심리학적 의미 (The Social Psychological Meaning of Occupation-related Identities among Generations)

  • 이 연구는 사회정체성 개념을 이론적 자원으로 활용하여 사회성원들이 직업 관련 정체성들을 인식하는 방식에서 나타나는 세대별 특성을 비교, 분석함으로써 사회적인 합의와 균열의 지점들을 살펴보았다. 사회정체성의 세 차원인 평가성, 권력성, 활동성을 살펴본 결과, 직업 관련 정체성에 있어서는 세대 차이보다는 합의가 우세하였다. 총 44개 정체성 중 세대차가 유의미한 것은 장관, 국회의원, 비행기 조종사, 농부의 평가성과, 대기업 사장, 교수, 의사, 간호사, 연예인, 무당, 실업자의 권력성뿐이다. 지도자 및 전문직에서는 평가성과 권력성 모두에서 50대가 다양한 정체성들을 일관되게 높이 평가한 반면, 30대는 부정적 태도를 견지했으며, 20대와 40대는 다분히 중간적인 입장을 보였다. 권력성에서는 2, 30대와 4, 50대로 나뉘어 젊은 세대가 이 범주 정체성들의 권력을 상대적으로 낮게 평가하는 경향이 관찰된다. 일반 직군의 경우에도 2, 30대의 평가 점수가 다소 낮은데 그 정도는 평가성에서 더욱 뚜렷하다. 종교와 관련해서는 2, 30대가 스님에 대해, 4, 50대가 목사에 대해 호의적이다. 지도자 및 전문직에 대한 세대별 태도를 분석해본 결과, 이 정체성들의 평가성과 권력성 모두를 높게 인정하는 50대에 비해 40대, 30대, 20대로 오면서 평균값의 하락과 분포의 집중 경향이 심화된다. 30대는 평가성 차원에서, 20대는 권력성 차원에서 이 범주에 대한 비판적인 태도를 보여준다.

레이저 조사가 치주낭 조직에 미치는 영향 (An effect of laser irradiation on periodontal pocket tissue)

  • Periodontal pocket is one of the most frequently developed clinical feature on the teeth with periodontal disease. In order to determine the gingival curettage effect of intrapocket irradiation of a pulsed Nd : YAG laser on periodontally involved teeth, bilateral 60 teeth with $4{\sim}6mm$ in probing pocket depth 1 week after supragingival scaling were selected. On half of them the intrapocket irradiation($300{\mu}m$ fiber optic, 1.5W power, for 2min.) of a pulsed-Nd : YAG laser(EL.EN.EN06O, Italy) was applied as the lased group. On the contralateral 30 teeth the subgingival curettage was accomplished by Gracey curettes as the curattage group. The periodontal pocket tissues were surgically excised by the modified Widman flap technique immediately after the intrapocket irradiation or subgingival curettage, subsequently fixed with 10% neutral formalin, sectioned in $4{\sim}6{\mu}m$ thickness, and stained with hematoxylin-eosin. Surface characteristics and incomplete removal of the pocket epithelium were evaluated under light microscope. And the difference between the lased group and the curettage group was statistically analyzed by Chi-square test in Microstat program. The results were as follows ; 1. The plane surface was observed more frequently in the curettage group(73.3%) than in the lased group(23.3%), and the rough surface was observed more frequently in the lased grOoup(63.3%) than in the curettage group(6.7%)(p<0.05). 2. The rate of incomplete removal of the pocket epithelium was relatively high in both the lased group(76.6%) and the curettage group(86.6%), and there was no significant difference between the lased group and the curettage group(p>0.l). The results suggest that the further studies including various power control of laser should be succeeded in order to obtain more favorable results by the intrapocket irradiation of a pulsed Nd:YAG laser than the subgingival curettage with Gracey curettes.

축소모델을 이용한 22.9kV-Y 배전선로의 유도뢰 분석 (Analysis on Induced Lightning of a 22.9kV-Y Distribution Line Using a Reduced Model)

  • This study fabricated a simulation facility which reduced the structure of a current distribution line to 50:1 in order to analyze the induced lightning shielding effect of a 22.9kV-Y distribution line according to ground resistance capacity, grounding locations, etc. When installing an overhead ground wire, the standard for grounding a distribution line with a current of 22.9kV-Y requires that ground resistance in common use with the neutral line be maintained less than $50\Omega$every 200m span. The reduced line for simulation had 7 electric poles and induced lightning was applied to the ground plane 2m apart from the line in a direction perpendicular to it using an impulse generator. If induced voltage occurred in the line and induced current flowed through the line due to the applied current, the induced voltage and current of the 'A' phase were measured respectively using an oscilloscope. When all 7 electric poles were grounded with a ground resistance of less than $50\Omega$ respectively, the combined resistance of the line was $7.4\Omega$. When an average current of 230A was applied, the average induced voltage and current measured were 1,052V and 13.8A, respectively. Under the same conditions, when the number of grounding locations was reduced, the combined resistance as well as induced voltage and current showed a tendency to increase. When all 7 electric poles were grounded with a ground resistance of less than $100\Omega$, the combined resistance of the line was $14.9\Omega$. When an average current of 236A was applied, the average induced voltage and current of the 'A' phase calculated were 1,068V and 15.6A, respectively. That is, in this case, only the combined resistance was greater than when all 7 electrical poles were grounded, and the induced voltage and current were reduced. Therefore, it is thought that even though ground resistance is slightly higher under a construction environment with the same conditions, it is advantageous to ground all electric poles to ensure system safety.
