  • A stroke is a medical disease where a blood vessel in the brain ruptures, causes damage to the brain. If the flow of blood and different nutrients to the brain is intermittent, symptoms may occur. Stroke is other reason for loss of life and widespread disorder. The prevalence of stroke is high in growing countries, with ischemic stroke being the high usual category. Many of the forewarning signs of stroke can be recognized the seriousness of a stroke can be reduced. Most of the earlier stroke detections and prediction models uses image examination tools like CT (Computed Tomography) scan or MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) which are costly and difficult to use for actual-time recognition. Machine learning (ML) is a part of artificial intelligence (AI) that makes software applications to gain the exact accuracy to predict the end results not having to be directly involved to get the work done. In recent times ML algorithms have gained lot of attention due to their accurate results in medical fields. Hence in this work, Stroke disease identification system by using Machine Learning algorithm is presented. The ML algorithm used in this work is Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The result analysis of presented ML algorithm is compared with different ML algorithms. The performance of the presented approach is compared to find the better algorithm for stroke identification.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the peer group factor related to adolescent smoking in the social structure(network) of adolescent groups, by applying the theory of social network. Methods: The data was collected from boy students of one high school located in Gun-Po city of Kyonggi Province. The total number of the sample was 605(223 first grade, 198 second grade, 184 third grade). The survey using the questionnaire was carried out in April 2005. Social position is finally classified as clique member, liaison, isolate group by using the NetMiner II 2.5 version. Results: The current smoking rate was 15.0%, and the life-time smoking rate was 34.9%. The smoking rate increased significantly, as the grade went up. And it was significantly high among the group having smoking friends. The logistic regression analysis showed that the odds ratio of the smoking friends group was about 4 times higher than the no smoking friends group in experience of smoking. But the smoking rate was higher significantly in the isolate group within the network composed of 2. person's social-link. The odds ratio of the isolate group was about 4.5 times higher than the clique member. However, this pattern was not found in the network composed of 3 person's social-link. Therefore, the hypothesis that clique member would have a correlation with smoking was rejected. In reality, the isolate group had a tendency of smoking more frequently. Conclusions: The result of this study suggests that the role of the peer group in smoking is to be considered in the prevention program. More attentions should be paid for the isolate group.

  • There are tendency that wireless sensor network is one of the important techniques for the future IT industry and thereby application areas in it are getting growing. Researches based on the hierarchical network topology are evaluated in good at energy efficiency in related protocols for wireless sensor network. LEACH is the best well known routing protocol for the hierarchical topology. However, there are problems in the range of message broadcasting, which should be expand into the overall network coverage, in LEACH related protocols. This dissertation proposes a new routing protocol to solve the co-shared problems in the previous protocols. The basic idea of our scheme is using the table for nodes connectivity and node energy information. The results show that the proposed protocol could support the load balancing by distributing the clusters with a reasonable number of member nodes and thereby the network life time would be extended in about 1.8 times longer than LEACH.

  • The human being receives a new information from outside and the information shows gradual oblivion with time. But the information remains in memory and isn't forgotten for a long time if the information is read several times over. For example, we assume that we memorize a telephone number when we listen and never remind we may forget it soon, but we commit to memory long time by repeating. If the human being received new information with strong stimulus, it could remain in memory without recalling repeatedly. The moments of almost losing one's life in an accident or getting a stroke of luck are rarely forgiven. The human being can keep memory for a long time in spite of the limit of memory for the mechanism mentioned above. In this paper, we propose a model to explain the mechanism mentioned above using a neural network and fuzzy.
