In this paper we propose a novel mobile terminal software architecture supporting energy efficient handover operation in heterogeneous networks. Since the legacy proposals for L3 handover are mostly dependent on IETF Mobile IP which has some problems in movement detection mechanism and no considerations on nested heterogeneous network environment as a result they make serious overload on networks and terminals by performing unnecessary handover in such network environments. The proposed architecture has terminal-oriented network selection and switching architecture where a mobile terminal periodically monitors network status and selects the optimum network, and reduces energy consumption by making L3 handover of Mobile IP to the finally selected network. The network selection method first picks up some candidate networks by considering a terminal speed and power consumption estimation, and determines the final target handover network among the candidates after evaluating multiple factors including QoS required by a terminal, network status, user preference and terminal battery status. Finally we verify the functionality and performance of the energy efficient vertical handover architecture by means of adopting it into a real mobile terminal.
When the WiBro/WLAN hierarchical network is structured, a dual mode access terminal should keep WLAN module with power on state for operating in WiBro network outside of WLAN hotspot zone. Power consumption of user's access terminal can be increased to maintain WLAN module power on state of dual mode access terminal in WiBro network outside of the hotspot zone. This paper focuses on power saving strategy for a dual mode access terminal in WiBro/WLAN Hierarchical network to overcome problems regarding power. We will apply information about hotspot in WiBro network to establish the efficient power saving strategy for dual mode access terminal.
Amid of the logistics hub center competition is going to intensifying between the world major port, it is essential to pre-occupied the base in the logistics hub world take advantage of advanced technology of logistics equipment than other ports. In existing container terminal, when container moves the terminal use the omnidirectional and directional antenna in order to exchange data information on the basis of 802.11 wireless network system. Case of loading height of exceeding, the blind sport will occur and a limited frequency channel can't help using in the area. A limited frequency channel usage and nested areas happen to use the closed terminal, it has a great influence to operate the terminal working. In this paper, LTE network is configured provided by the specified company ('L' Corp,.Ltd) and terminal data extracted through LBO (Local Breakout) in the cell site which is configured directly with container terminal operation server. Using this method, container terminal yard equipment operate without overlapping arises with uninterrupted data presented for ways to efficiently. I would suggest both the existing wireless AP LAN configuration of container terminal and new LTE system and applied to the real yard operating devices situations. Through these methods presented comparative the existing network traffic with new constructed LTE configuration. I admired to suggest that wireless network LTE introduction is fundamental factors to get rid of the blind spot, the problem of limited frequency channel and overlapping arises. These essential points can be a continual improving terminal services and more efficient terminal operational management.

This paper presents an algorithm CAPFACT to evaluate the reliability of a capacitated two terminal network such as a communication network, a power distribution network, and a pipeline network. The network is good(working) if and only if it is possible to transmit successfully the required system capacity from one specified terminal to the other. This paper defines new Capacitated series-parallel reduction to be applied to a series-parallel structure of the network. New Capacitated factoring method is applied to a non-series-parallel structure. The method is based on the factoring theorem given by Agrawal and Barlow. According to the existing studies on the reliability evaluation of the network that the capacity is not considered, the factoring method using reduction is efficient. The CAPFACT is more efficient than Aggarwal algorithm which enumerated and combined the paths. The efficiency is proved by the result of testing the number of operations and cpu time on FORTRAN compiler of VAX-11/780 at Hanyang University.
This paper evaluates the stability of the terminal group for he inter-vehicle communication (IVC) network with an autonomous relay access scheme. Some stability criterions such as updating rate, terminal group convergence probability and total path average holding time have been conducted by computer simulation. As the results, dynamic moving of the terminal is the serious problem that can degrade the stability of the terminal group and directly affect to overall performance of the IVC network.
In this paper, we design a terminal sliding mode controller based on neural network for nonlinear systems with uncertainties. Terminal sliding mode control (TSMC) method can drive the tracking errors to zero within finite time. Also, TSMC has the advantages such as improved performance, robustness, reliability and precision by contrast with classical sliding mode control. For the control of nonlinear system with uncertainties, we employ the self-recurrent wavelet neural network(SRWNN) which is used for the prediction of uncertainties. The weights of SRWNN are trained by adaptive laws based on Lyapunov stability theorem. Finally, we carry out simulations to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control.

General measure in the reliability is the k-terminal reliability, which is the probability that the specified vertices are connected by the working edges. To compute the k-terminal reliability components are usually assumed to be statistically independent. In this study the modeling and analysis of the k-terminal reliability are investigated when dependency among components is considered. As the size of the network increases, the number of the joint probability parameter to represent the dependency among components is increasing exponentially. To avoid such a difficulty the structured-event-based-reliability model (SERM) is presented. This model uses the combination of the network topology (physical representation) and reliability block diagram (logical representation). This enables us to represent the dependency among components in a network form. Computational algorithms for the k-terminal reliability in SERM are based on the factoring algorithm Two features of the ractoring algorithm are the reliability preserving reduction and the privoting edge selection strategy. The pivoting edge selction strategy is modified by two different ways to tackle the replicated edges occuring in SERM. Two algorithms are presented according to each modified pivoting strategy and illustrated by numerical example.

This paper proposes an efficient method of reconstructing interconnections when the terminals of each plane change in real-time situations where randomly divided planes are interconnected. To connect all terminals when the terminals of each plane are changed, we usually reconstruct the interconnections between all terminals. This ensures a minimum connection length, but it takes considerable time to reconstruct the interconnection for the entire terminal. This paper proposes a solution to obtain an optimal tree close to the minimum spanning tree (MST) in a short time. The construction of interconnections has been used in various design-related areas, from networks to architecture. One of these areas is an ad hoc network that only consists of mobile hosts and communicates with each other without a fixed wired network. Each host of an ad hoc network may appear or disappear frequently. Therefore, the heuristic proposed in this paper may expect various cost savings through faster interconnection reconstruction using the given information in situations where the connection target is changing.

In this paper we deal with a cell planning issue arisen in a CDMA based multicast network. In a CDMA based wireless network, a terminal can significantly reduce the bit error rate via the cohesion of data streams from multiple base stations. In this case, multiple base stations have to be operated according to a common time line. The cells whose base stations are operated as such are called soft-combined cells. Therefore, a terminal can take advantage of error rate reduction, if the terminal is in a soft-combined cell and at least one neighboring cell is also soft-combined. However, as soft-combining operation gives heavy burden to the network controller, the limited number of cells can be soft-combined. Our problem us to find a limited number of soft-combined cells such that the benefit of the soft-combining operation is maximized.
In this paper, we proposed availability evaluation of network in mobile communication network that have hand off structure. Radio mobile communication network is essential hand off action to keep communication that is no discontinuance by transfer of terminal. Part by state and hand off state ago hand off by transfer of terminal and communication network is estimated performance according to the hand off rate and hand off completion rate of system. we applied MS, SM, MM communication structure in radio CORBA for network availability evaluate. System availability in mobile communication network that can repair that propose in this study uses the hand off rate and hand off completion rate of system by transfer of terminal and availability of whole system did evaluate.
