  • The helicopter system is non-linear and complex. Futhermore, because of absence of accurate mathematical model, it is difficult accurately to control its attitude. therefore, we propose a WAVENET control technique to control efficiently its elevation angle and azimuth one. Wavelet neural network(WAVENET) can construct systematically initial neural network as applying wavelet theory to feedforward network. It is proved through computer simulation that WAVENET has more excellent approximation capability than existing neural network. The simulation results using MATLAB are introduced.

  • A digital hardware architecture for artificial neural network with learning capability is described in this paper. It is a modified hardware architecture known as HANNIBAL(Hardware Architecture for Neural Networks Implementing Back propagation Algorithm Learning). For implementing an efficient neural network hardware, we analyzed various type of multiplier which is major function block of neuro-processor cell. With this result, we design a efficient digital neural network hardware using serial/parallel multiplier, and test the operation. We also analyze the hardware efficiency with logic level simulation.   • We propose a novel method to design a dispersion map for a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) ring network with the capability of wavelength reconfiguration. The method is simple, but gives us an optimum set of DCMs (Dispersion Compensation Modules) which satisfies a given value of the tolerable residual dispersion. The proposed method does not depend on compensation method, fiber type, or modulation format. We also demonstrate numerically how it works with an example 10-node ring network.

  • Small and medium sized firms(SMFs) would form the technology cooperation network with external firms and institutions of owning a variety of technology and knowledge, and according to resource based theory, forming cooperation network is another resource in uncertain business environment. Unlike the related studies, this study examined the effect of individual cooperation activity on innovation performance for SMFs located in Taegu region, and investigated the moderating effect of technology capability in the relationships between individual cooperation activity and innovation performance. In the empirical results, only cooperation research development positively affected innovation performance, and technology capability moderated the relationships between individual cooperation activity and innovation performance. The empirical findings imply that SMFs should do cooperation research development as an intangible asset to overcome the obstacle of development resulted from limited resources, and that SMFs should increase the impact of individual cooperation activity as promoting technology capability.

  • In this paper, we propose the interworking and emulation methods for the interoperability of ABR/ABT capability and algo propose the BCR Re-negotition with State-Dependent (BRSD) mechanism based on the common buffer with two thresholds and the EBCN method when public network hs the ABT capability. As BRSD mechansism has one common buffer for all ABR connectiona and BCR re-negotiation request according to the threshold, it can reduce the queue length and the frequency of ABT BCR re-negotiation. Using EBCN method, BRSD mechanism can prevent the continuous increasing of queue length in the emulation method with the CI bit setting of the ABR performance of the BRSD mechanism in the view poits of the masimum queue length, bandwidth utilization and ABT-BCR re-negotialtion frequency trough the simulation.

  • This paper investigates the evolution of 'inter-firm' technology transfer in the Thai automobile industry, which has gradually been integrated into global production network of some specific automotive models(one-ton pickups). This paper discusses the linkage between the role of automobile assemblers in transferring technology and the way their strategic changes bring about heightened demands on the technological capacity of suppliers and the contents of technology transfer. With higher competition at the global level, local suppliers are required to improve their technical and managerial skills, especially in the area of 'product engineering' capability. The authors examine the ways local firms have adapted to these changes in their environments, as well as the ways they utilize inter-firm relationship with automobile assemblers as a means to improve their own technological capabilities. The dynamic process of capability formation in local parts firms, through intensive efforts and learning inducements brought about by inter-firm relationships, are also discussed.

  • In this paper, we propose a new class of MIN (Multistage Interconnection Network) called SCMIN(ShortCut MIN) which can form a cheap and efficient packet switching interconnection network. SCMIN satisfies full access capability(FAC) and has multiple redundant paths between processor-memory pairs even though SCMIN is constructed with 2.5N-4 SEs which is far fewer SEs than that of MINs. SCMIN can be constructed suitable for localized communication by providing the shortcut path and multiple paths inside the processor-memory cluster which has frequent data communications. Therefore, SCMIN can be used as an attractive interconnection network for parallel applications with a localized communication pattern in shared-memory multiprocessor systems.

  • This paper describes a network framework that support network based humanoid. The framework utilizes middleware such as CORBA (ACE/TAO) that provides PnP capability for network based humanoid. The network framework transfers data gathered from a network based humanoid to a processing group that is distributed on a network. The data types are video stream, audio stream and control data. Also, the network framework transfers service data produced by the processing group to the network based humanoid. By using this network framework, the network based humanoid can provide high quality of intelligent services to user.

  • This study aims to investigate the impacts of small venture firms' capabilities on their international performance and the role of environmental dynamics in these relationships. Specifically, the study examines how international marketing, technology, and network capabilities of small venture firms influence their international performance and how market and technology turbulences moderates these relationships. Employing 162 small venture firms in Korea, the result of multiple regression analysis found that marketing capability did not affect international performance while technology and network capabilities had positive, significant impacts on international performance. Market turbulence was found to have a negative moderation effect on the relationship of network capability and international performance. Technology turbulence had a negative moderation effect on the relationship of technology capability and international performance and a positive moderation effect on the relationship of network capability and international performance. The findings confirm the importance of capabilities in improving the international performance of small venture firms and generate strategic implications for their international success by emphasizing the effect of environmental dynamics.

  • This paper presents a method to optimize train radio communication network for train control (CBTC) or multimedia services. To determine the optimized distance between wayside radio stations in a radio communication network constructed along railway, radio frequency allocation and hand-over capability is studied in terms of radio communication cell coverage and roaming feasibility.
