Recently, the outdoor lighting of architectural Facade has increased for the improvement of night-scape in urban and coastal resort. The purpose of this research is to analyze lighting characteristics; Luminance, Illuminance, Color Temperature, Chromaticity in Gyengpo Park of Eastern famous coastal resort. The result of this paper is as follows: 1) The Luminance ratio was measured that compare to the 1:10 criterion(IESNA) was in excess to the most building except "K". Because of these condition, Luminance environments was injurious to visual health the overuse of the outdoor lighting or glare to the eyes. 2) The level of vertical Illuminance value was insufficient 33.3% among the cases of survey with 4Lux standard of CIE. 3) The kinds of outdoor lighting of BLDG were increased lighting emitting diode(LED), metal halide(MH) instead of reduction trend of neon, fluorescent light, halogen. As the crisis of Energy resources we will be investigate adapt method of outdoor lighting, which design is based on economical efficiency by the use of optimum lighting.

The detection of jovian hydrogen-hydrogen dimers through the clear telluric 2-micron window(Kim et al. 1995, Trafton et al. 1997( suggests possibility to detect noble gases in the form of dimer with hydrogen in jovian atmospheres. Since noble noble gases do not have spectral structures in the infrared, it has been difficult to derive their abundances in the atmospheres of jovian planets. If there is a significant component of noble gases other than helium in the jovian atmospheres. it might be detected through its dimer spectrum with hydrogen molecule. The relatively sharp spectral structures of hydrogen-argon and hydrogen-neon dimers compared with those of hydrogen-hydrogen dimers are useful for the detection, if an adequate signal-to-noise (S/N) is obtained. If we use a large telescope, such as the Keck telescope, with a long exposure time (>24 hours), then $H_2-Ar$ spectral structure may be detected.

Objective & Methods : This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Cistanches Herba herbal-acupuncture (CH-HA) at KI10 (Umgok) on osteoporosis induced by ovariectomy in mice. The results were as follows; Results : CH-HA at KI10 significantly inhibited the overgrowth of tibia, the elevation of serum osteocalcin level, the reduction of tibial Ca and P level, the increase of tibial osteoclast like cells, the reduction of tibial TBV (trabecular bone volume), the overgrowth of tibial GPL (growth plate length) in ovariectomized mice. NP at KI10 significantly inhibited the reduction of BMD (bone mineral density) in ovariectomized mice, but CH-HA did not. Conclusion : Taken together, CH-HA at KI10 has a protective or therapeutic effect for osteoporosis in ovariectomized mice. Therefore, it is suggested that CH-HA may be an useful therapeutics in clinical filed after further researches.

The purpose of this study were to 1) determine the analgesic effect of 632.8 nm of helium-neon (He-Ne) laser stimulation on acupuncture point in rat and 2) determine the reversal of analgesic effect by naloxone injection. Eighteen Sprague-Dawley rats were devided into three groups : control (n=6) : laser (n=6), laser stimulation at $3.58\;J/cm^2$ ; and naloxone (n=6), 1 mg/kg of naloxone chloride inject into peritoneum before laser stimulation at $3.63J/cm^2$. Tail-flick latency were measured pretreat and posttreat with hot plate $(55^{\circ}C)$. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and paired t-teat for tail-flick latency. No significant change was noted in the tail-flick latency in either control or naloxone groups. But significant increased in tail-flick latency in taller group. The results suggest that He-Ne laser induced analgesic effect, and endogenous opioids may be involved in He-Ne laser induced analgesia.

Objectives & Methods : This study aims to investigate the application of the principle of the mutual communication between organ and bowel(臟腑相通) on Tong's acupuncture. We classified the frequently used Tong's acupuncture points according to the principle of the mutual communication between organ and bowel. Results & Conclusions : Considering the locations and indications of the most frequently used points among the 740 master Tong's acupuncture points, we could reach the following conclusions; 1. The chief virtues of 66 master Tong's acupuncture points could be explained by the principle of mutual communication between organ and bowel. 2. Among the relationships of mutual communication between organ and bowel, the most frequently applied relationship was relationship which applied to 16 master Tong's acupuncture points, and the , , , , and followed. 3. Considering the body regions, 13 out of 66 master Tong's acupuncture points which the relationship of mutual communication between organ and bowel was applied to, were located at the 1-1 region, and the same number at the U region, the others were at the 7-7, 3-3, 2-2, 4-4, 10-10, 6-6, 5-5 regions in the order of the number of the points, and none at the 9-9 region.

Lighting for outdoor advertising is very common feature of building facades as they provide the information and commercial identification. As the interest of improving street beautification more widely, application of various lighting technologies has been develop for advertisement such as electric sign board and signage. Furthermore, the installation of higher sign luminance than needed has many negative consequences, including higher energy consumption and light pollution. There are now no standard for outdoor advertisements in terms of luminance, and installation of indiscreet outdoor advertisement without luminance consideration is becoming more commonplace. This study was to evaluate the luminous characteristics of outdoor advertising as a function of sign and building facade luminance, luminance ratio. Data were collected on 8 electric sign boards, 20 internally illuminated, externally illuminated, neon, and channel letter signs and 4 commercial areas. Photometric measurements were taken by CS-100(Minolta) and ProMetric-1400(Radiant Imaging) for various sign modes and sign design. Also luminance of building facades were analyzed according with CIE standard of maximum obtrusive light permitted for exterior lighting installations. The findings are as follows; (1) There were excessive luminance of electric sign boards that could affect adjacent building facade and night sky luminance. (2) Sings that are externally illuminated providing an inappropriate amount of light on to the outer surface of the sign caused higher building facade luminance and potential of unnecessary glare.

The purpose of this study is to examine the construction industry of Korea from the 1920s to the 1930s by analyzing activities of construction-contractors trying to overcome the recession of the construction industry and intensified competition in the industry. In this paper, I looked at the activities of Hanazono Sakichi as concrete examples. First of all, with the strategy of the vertical integration, by manufacturing and selling building materials, Hanazono Sakichi expanded his company and the scope of contract business. The second, he attempted to diversify related projects. Through related diversification, he seemed to have earned not only land management profit but also advantages from related construction. These aspects were not only seen by Hanazono's activities but also by other contractors'. On the other hand, a few contractors have taken over a trust company to secure the funds for land management. Attempts to maximize personal interests through the expansion and diversification of contractors' business can be seen as overcoming the pre-1920s environment, where almost construct works were ordered under the government, and creating opportunities for the private sector to work and make profit by themselves. In the end, it can be mentioned that 'the contractor' established 'the construction industry' through this process.

It is supposed that the future fashion could be made by the scientist instead of fashion designer. Because it is so intellectual and avantguard. In addition to this the practical value and a certain identity is needed in this future fashion. Especially, the intention of no acceptance of categorization could be explained through the fashion clud of young people and the extremeness in the street. Paul Hedmus has insited that Tokyo club is closely related the fashion styles depended on the western historical street fashions. Fashion is mixeded contrasted, modified, resembled, reversed and finally it includes the new neaning. Instead of distinguishable logo there are lots of messages in the fashion. There are a few thousand of young people who wear silver max metal shoes. And they craze the neon picture and advertisement implies meaning the drug. It could be applied to the people of 90's. The difference between sex from the stone age is induced basically from the fashion and the part of discussion of sex. In this study we research the images of future fashion showed in SF Movie, Star Wars, Episode, The 5th Elements, Nirvana. Those were geometric and natural, technological expansion of space, corset fashion acessoruy image and geometric expression and these characteristics implied in modern fashion trend and future fashion images. Because it is supposed to the future image of current fashion. The millenium fashion is more realistic, practical, and natural instinct realization of ideal. but it is not the unrealistic, the vague of the regendary image.

The purpose of this is to investigate the color of Art Deco Fashion in Paris. (1920-1930) Through the age of Art Deco style, the enormous modern cities were built up and numerous life-constructions were designed conspiciously in Paris. Under this situation, the usage of the 'color' became very important element of design area and also it bestowed new form upon the modern design. The black beauty of Art Deco style was the outcomes of cubism, black-arts, and pragmatism. And the black beauty was regarded as the proper color to represent simplicity. Simplicity was the best way to express Art Deco style. The color and light of metal were used adequately to express a geometrical and streamline form; it was raised as a new beauty in this period. The primary colors were used to recognize the simplified forms effectively. New pastel colors, which signified differently with Art Nouveau were born centering around the Youth Culture like a summer resort and a sun bath. Also they expressed neon signs and atmosphere of beach by means of the tropical colors. At last the color of Art Deco style opened the new age. And it was started to use the various colors in design field from at this time.

A 1MW class HTS(High-Temperature Superconducting) synchronous motor has been developed. This motor is aimed to be utilized for industrial application such as large motors operating in large plants. The HTS field coil of the developed motor is cooled by way of Neon thermosiphon mechanism and the stator coil is cooled by water through hollow copper conductor. This paper describes performance test results of our motor, which was conducted at steady state in generator mode and motor mode.
