It is important to understand what affects community satisfaction. Because community impacts and participation is a central aspect of fostering local community development, it is important to understand how these processes occur. The study aims to identify the factors influencing community satisfaction and to examine the moderating effects of community participation between community perceived impacts and community satisfaction. Data were collected from 328 usable questionnaires among community residents participating rural development projects in Buyeo and Chungyang county, Chungnam province. Results of a factor analysis yielded four dimensions of community perceived impacts which were negative socio-economic impacts, positive economic impacts, positive environmental impacts, and positive social impacts. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that negative socio-economic impacts, positive economic impacts, and positive environmental impacts affected significantly for community satisfaction. it reveals that there are moderating effects on community participation of negative socio-economic impacts and positive economic impacts. It was suggested that negative socio-economic impacts, positive economic impacts, and community participation should be considered to implement rural development projects and its policy decision making.

The purpose of this study was to examine the health status of the daughter and daughter- in-law caregivers who care for a cognitively and/or functionally impaired elderly, individual to identify factors that were related to reported health outcomes, and to investigate the negative and positive impacts of family caregiving. Data was collected from 120 daughter and daughter-in-law caregivers and care-recipients using face to face interviews. Most caregivers were daughters- in-law (77.5%) and most care-recipients were female (88.3%). Sixty-eight percent (n=81) of caregivers reported depressive symptomatology. General health also deteriorated by caregiving. Caregivers reported several negative impacts (difficulties): care-recipients' problematic behaviors, deterioration of their own health, pressure from social norms related to family caregiving in Korea, intrafamily conflict, and economic problems. Contrary to the popular belief, caregivers reported diverse positive impacts of family caregiving (68.3%): a sense of filial responsibilities, recognition from elderly, family members, relatives, and society, education for the children, and familial harmony. Higher depression score was predicted by lower family income, the presence of cognitive impairment of care-recipients, and higher level of social conflict of caregivers. Poor general health of caregivers was predicted by older caregivers' age, lower competing roles of caregivers, and poor emotional health. While not seeking to deny the negative aspects of family caregiving, it is also necessary to understand positive aspects of family caregiving to see complete picture of caring for an elderly family member.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of global uncertainty on gross and net capital flows in Korea. Design/methodology/approach - We conduct an empirical analysis of the impact of global uncertainty on the net and gross capital flows in korea. To investigate the impacts, we incorporate linear and nonlinear ARDL models. Findings - We find global uncertainty has negative impacts on the gross and net capital flows. But this impact is nonlinear. The negative global uncertainty shocks are bigger than the positive global uncertainty shocks on capital flows in Korea. And we find this relationship is noticeable in gross capital inflows. We also find interest rate difference between the US and Korea is the main driving source in capital flow after the Global financial crisis. Research implications or Originality - The results of this study suggest that the negative impacts of global uncertainty are noticeable. This means that economic players in financial markets should be more concerned about the bad news.

The study aims to identify residents' perceptions of tourism impacts according to the demographic characteristics. The analysis was based on 366 questionnaires given to residents of six rural communities in rural Korea. A series of data analysis such as factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA was conducted to investigate the residents perceptions of tourism impacts. Results showed that whereas younger, less educated and poor could perceive a negative impacts. older, educated and richer were more likely to perceive a positive impacts of economic, social and environmental spheres. Especially male was more likely to perceive a positive socio-cultural impacts, whereas female was perceive a negative impacts. The results suggest that it is important for policy makers and community leaders to consider social-cultural and economic impact when decision making on development planning.

The purposes of the study are (1) to explore relationships amongst attitudes to positive/negative tourism impacts, community satisfaction, government trust, and support for tourism development and (2) to provide practical implications for policy makers how they can gain residents' support by increasing community satisfaction and government trust, which are resulted from attitudes to tourism impacts. A questionnaire is self-administered to local residents using a systematic sampling method in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam. The results indicate community satisfaction and government trust are core factors of support for tourism development. The study highlights that to attain community satisfaction and government trust, the policy makers should especially increase positive socio-cultural and environmental impacts and minimize negative economic impacts on the community simultaneously.

Purpose - This paper aims to examine a spirituality's impact on the posttraumatic interpersonal relationships of family violence with a structural equation model(SEM). This article starts with the research idea that family violence experience bring about negative emotion in terms of interpersonal relationship leading to the distribution of negative affect in social relationship. The research question of this study pinpoints on how family violence experience affects interpersonal relationship problems and how spirituality affects interpersonal relations problems. Based on the idea, we attempts to deal with spirituality's impact as a driving factor of transforming the distribution of negative affect. Research design, data, and methodology - The structural equation modelling(SEM) is employed as a analysis method of this study. SEM provides a chiefly cross-sectional statistical modelling method, and moreover it allows multiple variables to be associated with a latent variable in this analysis. 300 samples from Seoul, Gyeonggy and Gangwon are selected in the survey. We chose available 271 among them. Results - The results verify that trauma have placed an negative impact on personal relations. The study results also shows that the more serious get the degree of family violence trauma, the worse become interpersonal relationship problems. What is more interesting is that the degree of trauma's impact on interpersonal relation problems in male is higher than that of trauma's impact in female. It is mainly attributed to the fact that women are superior to men in terms of empathy ability and interpersonal relationship orientation. It can be noted that the well-managed spirituality will be able to make a great contribution towards reducing the degree of trauma caused by interpersonal relationships. Conclusions - The study results demonstrates that family violence have negative impacts on spirituality, while spirituality have an positive impacts on reduction the problems of interpersonal relationship. It has been found out that family violence trauma may cause negative affectivity in personal relations, which can distribute negative impacts regarding interpersonal relationship in society. This study also supports that spirituality will be able to function well as a helper, which may reduce the distribution of negative affect in society.

The purpose of this study is to technology impact assessment uncertainties and influences of factors for the coexistence technology in MR and to derive the ripple effect of the target technology in many different application fields. This survey is to evaluate the impact of new technologies on economy, society, culture, ethics and environment in advance and to reflect the results in policy research. As a result, we analyzed the positive and negative impacts predicted by the coexistence technology in MR in edutainment field by word cloud analysis. The purpose of these study is to strengthen the intrinsic intent of technology assessment on the edutainment fields to strengthen positive impacts and minimize adverse impacts by identifying the various factors affecting society when the coexistence technology in MR was commercialized as well as by evaluating the positive and negative impacts from a more balanced view.

This study aims to identify the factors influencing residents' satisfaction for the urban regeneration projects in South Korea. Data were collected from 250 people with self-administrated questionnaires. A factor analysis identified three factors which are positive economic impacts, negative social impact, and positive environment impact. The positive economic impact has the highest variance explained. Results showed that high income and students and unemployed are less like to be satisfied with their community life. And whereas negative social impacts are less likely to have community satisfaction, positive economic impacts are more likely to have community satisfaction. This study suggested that community leaders and policy makers should consider perceived impacts and income when implementing development projects.

This study investigates the psychological effects of positive/negative valence order in repeated exposure to a suspenseful text. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how the order in which positive and negative elements are presented in a narrative impacts the experience of suspense, arousal, and enjoyment in readers or listeners. Using a suspenseful short story, participants were exposed to narratives with varying valence orders in a repeated-measures design. The study employed self-report questionnaires and psychophysiological measurements to capture participants' psychological responses. The results supported the hypothesis that repeated exposure impacts suspense, with negative valence enhancing suspense and arousal. Moreover, the order of valence influenced participants' psychological responses, indicating that positive valence can mitigate the impact of repeated exposure. However, the influence on enjoyment was not significant. Psychophysiological measures, specifically skin conductance level (SCL), revealed trends of habituation over repeated exposure. The findings underscore the significance of negative valence in heightening suspense and suggest directions for future research in exploring diverse factors that contribute to suspense in both fictional and real-life contexts.

The purpose of this study were to investigate the socio-economic impacts of urban-to-rural migration on the rural community and to identify the factors influencing rural residents' recognition of the socio-economic impacts of urban-to-rural migration on the rural community. For the purpose, this study analyzed Korea Rural Economic Institute's rural residents survey(2016), using multiple regression model. The main finding of this study were as follows: Positive social impacts of urban-to-rural migration on rural community were (1) contributing to community sustainability through population growth, (2) contributing to securing agricultural human resources, and others. Negative social impacts of urban-to-rural migration on rural community were (1) increasing unnecessary complaints and deepening distrust, (2) weakening of community consciousness, and others. Positive economic impacts of urban-to-rural migration on rural community were (1) increasing the value of residents' property, (2) contributing to local finance through increased local tax revenue, and others. Negative economic impacts of urban-to-rural migration on rural community were (1) difficulty of scaling farmland due to small-scale farming, (2) land shortage caused by rising land prices, and (3) fierce competition to secure labor force. According to the multiple regression analysis, the major factors influencing rural residents' recognition of the socio-economic impacts of urban-to-rural migration were (1) villagers' general attitude toward urban-to-rural migrants, (2) urban-to-rural migrants' community participation, (3) age, and (4) fitness of village in urban-to-rural migration.
